Wow, that makes the article that was posted earlier all the more real. The NBA economy is getting hammered and they seem to be trying to cut cost anywhere they can.

Teams moving around, superstars being just gifted away just to save money. I wonder how the Magic are doing since they gave R. Lewis the most ridiculously fucking contract in the league.

I'll never understand that Rashard Lewis contract. Absolutely ridiculous. It's not like he even proved anything in Seattle to validate giving him such a contract. It's idiotic decisions like that that hastened the financial problems of the league.

Yeah, that was scary for a minute there. But then I remembered that the Lakers always put others teams away after blowing big leads, and that they did.

The Bulls also beat the most bipolar team in the NBA, the Hornets.

I was a little worried at that moment too. Blowing the lead from Jason Terry 3 pointers and buzzer shot to end the 3rd quarter. But the Lakers regained their team back together to beat the Mavs.

Pau Gasol looking really good out there, going 10-10 shooting in the first half, then finishing off with Kobe's dagger shooting. :applause:

Now im getting ready to watch the PHX Suns vs Warriors game coming on soon

Tonight baby....the Warriors gonna run the Suns outta the gym....

But wait JinSanity....the Warriors aren't healthy....

Who Cares?

The Warriors.

Where Montazing Happens.

Pick up ball in GS right now. I got next with 5 CAGs.

Looks like this isnt a game to study if you are trying to learn about defense but its more exciting than most other games.

Seriously 65 points half way through the 2nd QRT? Are you kidding me? Apparently defense doesnt exist in Golden State!

Don Nelson is the worst coach in the NBA....makes Vinny Del Negro look like a God.

yea what an intense 1st half... up and down like ping pong balls back and forth

lol..

Because of work I was only able to watch the atrocious 3rd quarter of the Cavs/Magic game and the last few minutes of the 4th. The Cavs always seem to turn in on at the end and it was an exciting finish.

Cavaliers win, Magic, Celtics, and Lakers lose. I just hope the momentum the Cavs build at the end here offsets the benefits of a healthy opposition.

I don't know I'm just not that into this season as I was last year. I went to the Nets vs Hornets game the other day and I was bored even have a great match-up between Devin Harris and Chris Paul in a tight game.

Come playoff time I guess I'll watch but right now it feels like a snooze fest to me.

Bumpin this thread to life..

Did anybody get to see the Lakers vs. Bulls game Saturday?

The Lakers down by as much as 16 points to come back and win by 8 points. The bench finally pulled through and did a good job. Good Job Lakers :applause:

Bah, I saw the Hornets play the Warriors tonight. They both played sloppy, and towards the end the Warriors were really making a run at the Hornets. It seemed like everyone was afraid CP3 was going to injure himself, thus causing the entire season to go to waste and the team to crap up. Also, Hornets fans should be ashamed of themselves. The place was half empty for a team making a run at the playoffs and still capable of changing their standings. The game itself was rather boring (part of that sloppy play I was mentioning.), including the stadium events (baby crawl was amusing, though).

Still, go Lakers!!!

Achievement Unlocked: You managed not to lose to Vinny Del Negro!:applause:

First time Boston will see KG at the Garden since his injury...can u spell CLIPPER BEATDOWN! Can't wait! :)

Tonight was a good night. The Bulls pretty much handled the Pistons most of that game and the Lakers demolished the Thunder. The Bulls are actually on TV twice in one week, coming back on Thursday. If they beat the Heat and the Lakers beat the Pistons, the Bulls will be tied for the 7 seed.

I was at this game, they looked pretty good, but it was against a detroit team that pretty much didn't have any of their normal starters. Hopefully they can keep this run going though, I would look forward to getting some playoff tickets.:)

The Bulls didn't have Derrick Rose, either. Don't forget.

23-5 run by the Pistons on the Lakers? Really?

And the fuck is this "Los Bulls" shit on their jerseys?

It's all part of trying to make Derrick Rose and his eyebrows feel more at home. I'm pretty sure their games are being broadcast on ESPN Deportes as well.

Letting America vote on things is a terrible idea. Cavs/Pistons are the next game for NBA TV's fan night? fuck that noise. Because we just don't get to see those teams on national tv enough...
I am all for Chicago getting the seventh seed so Orlando has an easy (read: not facing Detroit) first round in the playoffs.
Chicago's been worlds better than Detroit lately.

So, the Lakers beat Detroit handily and the Bulls just ended the 3rd on a 15-0 run to take a 16 point lead into the 4th. Hopefully Chicago can keep it up.

EDIT: Bulls win by 19, and the bottom half of the playoff picture moves around. New eastern Conference playoff positions:

1. Cleveland
2. Orlando
3. Boston
4. Atlanta
5. Philadelphia
6. Miami
7. Chicago
8. Detroit

Yea i was watching a little bit of the Lakers game on my friends computer with NBA League Pass. Kobe got 30 points! Lakers so far are really doing well on their road trip :bouncy:Very pleased to see :applause:

Watching the Bulls game on the other hand has been really interesting. Bulls won 6 out of their last 7 games

Also, the Bulls only have 1 game left the rest of the reason against a team above .500 (I believe its Philadelphia, who the Bulls CAN beat). All the rest of their games are against teams below .500. Also, most games the rest of the season are Home. The Bulls home record has been pretty good (they normally just can't win on the road). Its very favorable for the Bulls to make it, they just can't lose stupid games the rest of the year (like they did so many times throughout the season).

I kind of hate to say it (because I have many friends who are Pistons fans), I somewhat feel the Pistons deserve to not make the playoffs this year. I just say this because I still consider firing their last coach to be questionable (he got the team to the Eastern Conference Finals or semi finals every year) and bringing in someone who was never a head coach, and trading Billups for Iverson (IMO, Iverson is so overrated and not a good team player). I'd like to see Chicago and Charlotte (IMO, they've worked really hard) get the 7th and 8th slot, but we'll see.

Well, the Lakers won't be catching Cleveland now.

The Bulls and Pistons both lost, so the Bulls are a game back of Detroit and only one ahead of fucking Charlotte after their win over the Lakers.

The Cavs just keep winning. However, I don't know if they'll be able to win in Orlando this Friday. Fortunately I think that's the only game they won't win from here on out. They just have to do something about these slow first quarters.

An obvious article about the Suns: http://www.nba.com/2009/news/featur.../suns_demise.numbers.game.20090401/index.html

I don't get why he harps on losing to the Kings so much. Um, the Lakers, Nuggets, and Mavericks have all lost to the Kings this season.

Anyway, the Suns have always had horrendous defense. But they still won games, and made it the playoffs consistently. Bringing in Porter was a mistake, and focusing on defense was a mistake because the Suns don't have good defensive players. Once they started trying to be a good defense team, they started losing because everything else suffered because of it.

Honestly, I'm not sure what they should do for next season. Not picking up Nash would be stupid. Maybe they ought to just go back to being the same team they have been for for the past several years? While not having won a championship, they have at least won.

i think they can handle orlando if they keep the game under 100..if it gets to 100 it means the 3s are falling for orlando, they get really hard to beat if howard isnt in foul trouble and the 3s are falling...but thats what will come back to them in the playoffs...playoffs are notorious for turning 3point heavy teams ice cold.

Also i wouldn't be all that afraid of playing detroit in the playoffs this year...they've looked miserable at certain points in this season...and they are pretty nicked up too..
Eh... I think I'd forgotten how the Cavs come down to earth on the road.
i was a little surprised seeing them play against the Orlando Magic friday and the Magic being up by as much as 41 points.

So far the Cavs are looking good today vs the Spurs. Hopefully the Cavs win!

Cant wait for the next game Suns vs Mavericks. I can tell its gonna be a high intense game. The Phx Suns have alot to prove if they want to make it to the 8th spot

Yeah, it should be a good game. But unfortunately it is on ABC and I can't stand their broadcasters. I'm sure the whole night they will be over analyzing why the Suns won't make the playoffs or some shit.

Wow, the Dallas vs. Phoenix game is crazy. Jason Kid is now third an assists, and Dallas scored 81 freaking points at half-time. I was shocked to see that last shot made just before the 2nd quarter ended. It's like everyone was making whatever pass Kidd gave them.

The ABC announcers are the best in the game.

Their not over analyzing...their under analyzing if anything...I mean the Phoenix defense isn't even defense....it's 5 guys chillin' on the court gettin' high as a kite....

81 points....in one half? GTFO

yea the Phx Suns are getting pulverized by the Dallas Mavericks... 81 points in the first half is crazy!
That last shot by Jason Terry or Josh Howard (i couldnt see) was insane. Jason Kidd just passed the ball out of bounds and he shot the basketball and it went in.

You can't be serious, the ABC broadcasters are horrendous. Have you ever watched a game on ABC when the Lakers, for instance, were playing? Their bias is ridiculous.

Well I said that before the game... and yeah the Suns having a weak defense is no secret. It's just a bit annoying that they harp on the same obvious shit, every single time I watch a Suns game on ABC. I would actually avoid the games but they are always high profile ones (against Lakers, Mavs, Spurs, etc) so I put up with it.

Anyway, Mavericks looking to get payback for that game earlier in the season. It wasn't 81 points at the half, but something close to that.

Did the Suns forget there was a game today or what? Also, I hope that they don't resign Matt Barnes. He has one of the worst basketball IQ's I've ever for a pro player.

Hey, I am from Detroit alright....we fucking drafted Mateen Cleaves and Darko....2 of the worst over all players as far as IQ that were ever born.

NBA this season is really exciting if you follow everyone like I do and not just 1 team. A lot of big things going around the league.

Lakers last night almost had me breaking my tv remote. Losing a lead of 14+ to the Clippers to be down by 1 point. Clippers believing they could beat the Lakers for the 1st time.

Went to the Knicks/Raptors game at MSG Saturday. Had a great time.

Thinking about going to Boston to watch the Cavs play for the playoffs if they both get that far. w00t.

Tonight's a good night for basketball. I got to see a rare nationally televised Bulls game, which they won in convincing fashion over Philadelphia, putting them a game and a half out of the 6 seed. And I've been looking forward to Lakers/Nuggets for a long time. It won't affect the Lakers' seeding, but it's huge for Denver, big for the Lakers in their chase for home court in the Finals, and is a potential WCF preview.
