Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).

TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

I wonder if my nearby store was closed for today. I called four times and no answer. I was going to try and find out if I have until at least tomorrow at closing to pay off and pick up my SW2 games and Pro 2 controller.

Likely registers being down nationwide. They likely will extend pick up so if its not up by tomorrow or Saturday it will the next week

ZBOTW and MKW for $140 each, anybody~?

Love to see scalpers get fucked over. These clowns are just wasting their gas and time and will have to return everything they bought.

In a perfect world, resellers in places like marketplace should be handled like the show ‘to catch a predator’. Make flipping illegal and have swat dudes in bushes ready to tackle the seller at the meeting spot. At that point all is right in the world.
I rather they put all that money and effort into catching drug dealers and traffickers

In completely GameStop fashion, one store ruined their batch of Switch 2’s by stapling the receipts to the box for the midnight opening. The staples ruined all the screens.

i called nintendo for an update on the joycons i’d sent in and off hand asked about this and even the random employee knew exactly what i was talking about and was cracking up, and said offhandedly that this might be gamestop’s last console launch with nintendo, jokingly of course… i think both nintendo and gamestop are at fault tbh. where the hdmi cable is located in the current box should actually be where the tablet is to better protect it. there’s absolutely no protection for the tablet

Went to pick mine up last night after work and the employee was acting all odd and went to the back to call his boss. I overheard him mention he didn't know what to do. I think they oversold the systems at the midnight and there were two people who hadn't picked theirs up yet. Me and another guy. So, I think whichever of us got there first would've gotten the last one and the other was SOL. Thankfully that last one went to me lol. They also oversold on my copy of Bravely Default so that was fun. Kind of a mess but the employee was nice about it at least.

Back in the day, during the PSwii360 era, we were always told to oversell and make it up to stragglers. Their bet was that people forget and get busy, so better to have the sale today versus a loyal customer tomorrow.

I didn't. Wasn't fired, because I was one of their few knowledgeable and friendly salesmen. Made sure reservations came first until we got a restock. Bad practice, IMO.

It's one of the reasons I don't pre-order. That and buying sight unseen at full price ain't the CAG way.

Don't really recommend relying on GameStop. More so as they drive the company into the dirt, draining out what they can, while they can.
