I haven't been watching anime lately. Maybe I have anime overload or something... But I agree, Azumanga Daioh is funny as hell.
Every so often you need to switch out, go watch live action again or play games for awhile

This is true. I got burnt out recently, but Part1 of Code Geass and Season 1 of One Piece got me right back into it!

Thanks, I'll check those out.

Also, anyone know if Shippuuden is officially out of filler yet? I saw some screens and mentions of Dan and whatnot appearing, so I think it is, but I don't want to have to risk seeing emo wind boy.

It is out, though the title for next week's ep completely spoils what happens.

Yeah it seems to be getting back to the good stuff, though I wouldn't be surprised to see another filler ark thrown in after
Asuma dies

Finished watching rumbling hearts today. I certainly didn't see the last 3 episodes coming. Especially
the fact that mitsuki slept with shinji
.

I have to also add that Samurai 7 was pretty good from what I saw. I had the bad luck of receiving defective discs from Amazon, so I stopped at disc 3. Amazon didn't have any replacements so I got a refund. I'm just waiting for the blu ray version to come out in December and buy that.

The ending was meh to me... Maybe there will be a movie down the road to help tie things up better?

Macross F was nicely done. I'm REALLY looking forward to the upcoming movie.

So currently, I'm hunting down the second volume of the FLCL manga.
I've also just started reading the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann manga...

I'm nearing the end of what Kaizoku-Fansubs have done of One Piece.. I tried some other crappy group around 210 and it sucked hard, shit made no sense, so I think I'm just going to stop where ever KF is (250ish, I think). I don't really understand why after so many years they're 100 episodes behind Japan..

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is an anime with a wild personality that translates well to the manga. I don't like how Ganmen have somewhat oddly-detailed faces, though, but the anime and manga is well-paced, and interesting. The story is basic, but enjoyable. Buuta's adorable.

And yep, that's all I have to say about Gurren Lagann.

Ah, GetBackers. That brings me back. I liked the art style. And I think the episodic format (?) worked well for the story. :whistle2:k

Just watched the ending of Code Geass. I think it provides good closure to the series.
I think Lelouch is alive, but it wouldn't matter if they stop the series here anyway.

I would like to see a spin-off on it though. Something similar to what Full Metal Panic had with Fumoffu. I wouldn't be surprise to see a spin-off in the same universe as well.

Now, I may need a new series to watch weekly.
After Kaizoku I think I went to Geru-sama, ADC-Elites, Vengapunk, and finally I'm with INP here: http://www.instantz.net/

Enjoy! The Water 7/Enies Lobby arc is worth the wait, in my opinion.
The other crappy group I tried was Hell-Fansubs, I just checked. They were VERY bad. Typos and Engrish galore.

I went to my anime club today, and the anime they voted on to watch was Ninja fucking Nonsense. It has a couple good episodes but it's insanely stupid altogether. Then we watched an abridged version of season one of Ghost In the Shell: SAC, not that badly put together, except that it completely missed one of the key infiltration scenes. Ah well, next week Im gonna bring in some bootleg Blood + and Appleseed

Just finished volume 3 of GetBackers. It got pretty damn good, but I'm starting to get slightly lost in the character's histories.

Edit: Oh, and Doctor Jackal is awesome.
VP and INP are what I've been watching after KF. Really liked KF though, VP was still good, and INP is ok..
When did KF stop? I haven't been able to watch any episodes since the end of Skypiea.

I've been kinda interested in seeing Ninja Nonsense for a while partly cause of how hard Right Stuff used to push it. I assume the abridged GitS : SAC your talking about is the Laughing Man special?

Yeah, I finished up the first season DVDs last week. Really interesting characters, but I can relate to getting lost in their histories.

Genji reminds me of poor man's Vash the Stampede at times.

Ban is pretty badass most of the time.

Yes.
Also, I was hoping to find out if X'amd was any good?
If you like Eureka Seven, you'll probably like Xam'd.

I watched Sukeban Deka last night. Pretty decent and I liked the older style art. I have the live-action DVD also. I might watch that tonight.

And I finished season 1 of GetBackers.

I think the only thing that has me confused is the reason that guy in the white from Babylon City was in the Lower Town.

Also, I didn't quite get the whole revelation in the end of the last episode about how Makubex might not be real (and that old Gen guy's apprentice who wanted to follow Kazuki apparently isn't real).

I've got season 2 on the way from Rightstuf. I'm already feeling slightly disappointed knowing it's half over, though. I've loved it so far.

Getbackers wasnt terrible, it just seemed like every fight lasted only 30 seconds and was always the same:

Guy 1: "Ive thrown one punch, you've proven your strength so now im going to do my school's ultimate technique"

Guy 2: "Well im going to do the same"

*both clash at the same time, a few seconds of stillness pass then the bad guy falls down*

*flashback to some stupid scene of the two characters in the past*

Guy 1: "Oh, i dont know why we are fighting, lets join up and follow around a guy who can turn chibi at moments notice"

Guy 2: "Sure thing, I love that Lightning Emporer"

A little bit slow, yes. But I just finished Code Geass R2. I'm currently contemplating whether or not to call Code Geass the greatest anime ever. Absolutely amazing.

During the Xbox LIVE outage, I watched some Mars Daybreak. It feels inferior to other Bones series' RahXephon, Eureka Seven, and even, Xam'd.

I don't know if I was the only one, but I was really put off by how the plot was handled in R2.

Anyone think Lelouch is still alive? There's a bunch of speculation about him being alive or not. So far, it seems much of the evidence people have come up with point to the idea that he is still alive. After all, R2? Lelouch most likely became R2 (a.k.a L2 from Engrish). I really hope they don't make another full fledged series.

A couple links regarding this subject:

Well, I actually liked the plot. A LOT more than LotR's. Lelouch's death was by far the best way Code Geass could have ended. As for your links: meh. I believe what I see, not what a retarded anon (redundant, yes, since that's the only kind left on /a/) wants to.

Ok, but some of the theories they had in the second post do make sense. But then again, they're just theories. btw, what is all this /a/ stuff? He wrote a pretty long post for a retard...

As for the plot. I seriously thought they just threw in a bunch of random irony into it. There was a good amount of instances where I thought the characters did not act as they were previously portrayed. Sure, it's great to have a little randomness, but when it comes down to character development, I think it does nothing but stunt it or throw any relation between the character and viewer out the window.

Like I mention earlier, I believe Lelouch is still alive. I think everyone is looking too deep into it. It doesn't really matter if he is alive or not, unless Sunrise/writers will do a direct sequel from the 2nd season. Code Geass is not Code Geass if there is no Lelouch.

On a different not, I want a 3rd season, but not a prequel. Spin-off will be okay, but something similar to Fumoffu and Full Metal Panic would be fun.
So just wondering who else is enjoying Detroit Metal city so far?
Damn well love it, but (SEVERAL) people got offended at anime club and they don't show it anymore, and I haven't bothered to find the new episodes yet.
