I noticed that this thread has been dead for a while so I contacted the author and she agreed to let me take over...so we are starting a minty fresh, brand-spanking-new Toys R Us clearance game thread....

I have put the last 2 entries under spoilers so we wouldn't lose that data but most of it is pretty old...I will probably delete the stuff that goes back to early 2010 as it is really irrelevant....so we are gonna start small here....I have a few updates to post from my ventures out today..

I would like to keep this thread in the spirit of the Target Clearance Game thread so I will be setting it up like that...

Any questions, comments, suggestions just drop me a PM...

Welcome to the Toys R Us clearance thread! Like all stores, Toys R Us also has clearance games-- and they often drop numerous times, such as going down to 19.98, 9.98, 5.00, and even as low as 3.00. There doesn't appear to be a set rhythm to when these drops occur, or how many of them will occur. Also, be aware that the games may not have their prices correctly marked-- generally, all TRUs will have the same pricing (there will always be exceptions) so do not let the price tag dissaude you from at least checking to see if it's at the price that it's been reported here.

For the most part, prices are universal! Though there will always be exceptions...

took a look for the Cabela Wii version cuz I wanted to get a gun that I could mount the nunchuk on and move and shoot all in one piece but only found the 2102 version and that was going for $60. Now based on earlier comments, if the gun sucks then I wouldn't want it anyway as I wanted the gun for GoldenEye. Saw the CloneTrooper blaster set up for Wii but it was $20.

Didn't see the Rapala but I'm not really into fishing. Anyone have any reviews on it?

Wasn't a total waste. On my way out browsing the clearance shelves saw a JBL micro On-Stage speaker - it wasn't marked and I didn't see it listed here. I scanned it and and it was going for $29 so I bought it.

Nevermind, spoke to a friend of my who is into fishing and he had tried the Rapala game and said to skip it. It did not play very realistically (not with regards to the waiting for a bite - but more in terms of how accurate the controller was - issues with setting the drag etc.

I'm pretty sure its just the game. I was there Saturday morning at a store that had the bundle for both PS3 and 360. I figured with the B2G1 I would also get Brink and drop like $36 b/t the three. The Power Gig bundles would just go straight in the garage never to opened. Guy takes 10 minutes to un-spider-wrap the damn bundles, I can't see the monitor, then says 'that'll be $303.96' or something. I just said thanks for your time and walked out..
 
I stopped at a TRU to pick up a gift and saw that they had for today and tomorrow 11/4-5 a special BOGO 50% off for any game under $19.99. I saw also that Brink was on sale for $9.99 and found that Chronicles of Riddick: Assualt on Athena Bay was on clearance for $9.98 so bought em both for $15 plus tax - not bad, though now that I see reviews on Brink, maybe it's only so-so.
 
I was looking at TRU's website for the B1G150% off deal, and saw some DS clearance prices - granted, they may not show up in store but YMMV on getting the store to match their own website (mine does).

Every single one of the games you listed are part of an "Online only clearance deal"

The description of each game says "Online only price". This negates any chance of any store price matching the website as it's not allowed.

Stores can match online prices, but it can not say anywhere on the page that is is part of an Online price/sale/special.

Your list in the OP should differentiate between online prices and in store prices because of this.

Someone reading this thread for the first time will think these prices are all in store. You have no mention in the OP of getting some of these prices from the website.

Well, it's been a while. I have not had a chance to get a list yet, but I noticed this week a whole bunch of games for all platforms dropped down to $9.98. My store had close to maybe 150 games on the list.

I was actually in TRU and noticed some cheaper games in a cart behind the reigster...wish I would have had more time to see all of the titles (had the family with me today, so I couldn't dilly dally). My prizes were: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood CE (ps3) and Call of Duty: the War Collection (xbox). Both $9.98....:)
 
Don't get your hopes up. Visited 3 different ToysRus today, and to my recollection a whole lot of games (mostly CE) were already missing. So, I doubt any of these will ever make it to the floor for actual sale. They will reprice and put up the shovelware though, so get prepared for more Wii dung.
 
I called (YES I CALLED!!!) and the AC Bro CE on 360 rang up $99.99. Someone told me they saw Heavy Rain for $9.98 but the person wasn't game savvy enough to know which version it was.
 
I'll definitely check out this thread quite often. I remember seeing those DualShock 3 bundles at one of my TRU's. I wonder if they'll ever go clearance.
 
Well, the Ass Creed Bro CE I found was PS3, so maybe its only that platform. Also had price-checked a Black Ops Prestige that I've seen laying around forever (ps3), but it was still at $149.xx. I thought if they'd clearance anything it would be that giant box. Forgot, I also noticed the DJ Hero 2 bundles back behind the counter were $9.98, as well.

Yesterday my local TRU had all USED games CLEARANCED to $9.98 or less. The TRU trade in company quit recently so this is probably not YMMV. However, the games as always at my location were crap.
 
Many thanks to those that reported the CE for brotherhood. Managed to pick up today at Toys R Us at opening:

2 CEs (they weren't in clearance section and still marked 99, but rang up 9.99)
Zook
Igniter
Lighting Rod
and Legendary Trigger Happy

They also had Dragon's Peak out, but couldn't ring it up. They said they would hold it for me till the 25th when they could sell it.
 
ACB CE has been clearanced out at Gamestop before so if you want to get the Xbox version it''ll cost $25 (marked as used in their system) @ GS.

2 and onward are a vast improvement. I loved the 2nd one. HOWEVER, I have yet to play any onward since last time I played brotherhood I couldn't play more than an hour since it felt like a carbon copy of 2. Don't buy or play them back to back since you will probably get burnt out.

If you are lucky enough to find it. I wasn't (finding a complete new one), but one of the GS I frequent had the jack in the box and let me have it for free,lol. Now with the CE I bought that makes a complete set.
 
I got 2 PS3 games for $10: AC:B CE and Little Big Planet 2 (vanilla). Pretty much it seemed like the PS3 and Xbox games that were normally $20 were the $10 ones. Just have to look through the bins. Saw FFXIII, Enslaved, Family Game Night 3, etc. I wouldn't go unless you're in the area.

They had the War Collection marked $55, but they didn't have any so I couldn't check to see if it was that price. Was hard enough getting ACB CE.

Clearance sale. Amazon has listings for ~$50 so a store getting rid of stock for this cheap isn't unusual. It's just unusual for TRU.

What! That's insane.
The bummer about that headset is that it's not PS3 compatible, so you can't actually use it to play the game online. But for ten bucks, I'll hook it up to my phone and call my mom using the Zimos voice. It is bound to delight and confuse all my soon-to-be-former friends.
 
I might call some other stores for that. Can't they ship stuff from other stores for free?

Hell you might be able to get Best Buy to price match that lol.

My store has several copies of Brotherhood CE for 360 but for $99.99...
 
I found the ps3 AC:B for 10 . The lady did a triple take and even called a supervisor for confirmation. I've never seen so many skylanders in one spot ever.
