Hey, dallow...are you still looking for furniture for your new place?

Target sent me an ad for 15% off a furniture purchase of $125 or more, and a lot of it also comes with free shipping. Thought you might want to check it out before you splurge on that $500 ottoman!
Queens of the Stone Age are playing at Lupo's in Providence.

*explodes*
Wow...Lupo's still exists? I thought I had heard somewhere that they had shut the place down. Awesome venue...I grew up in CT and Lupo's was the only place to see a show if you didn't want to make the drive into Boston or NYC.

I need some chairs, and maybe a sofa if they offer them. I can't afford those two items from the regular furniture stores.

Thanks much again.
Read about that in the last OTT. Just tell them it's a forum on writing large tax checks.
Ha, yeah. I think the title bar hurts my case.

Grab Firefox and get the Titlebar Tweaks extension. You can change the title to whatever you want.

Yes sir. I saw TV on the Radio, with Subtle, earlier this year and it was great. Standing right in front, enjoying the wall of noise.

Wow, Target online has a big selection. I found the table and CD storage case I was going to get from the Home Theater site.

I just can't resist the Sean Connery Jeopardy joke whenever I see the name of that extension.

My day has come!

Suck it, Trebek!
Wow, Target online has a big selection. I found the table and CD storage case I was going to get from the Home Theater site.
Hope you haven't checked your shipping charges yet. They're likely to be ugly.

Also, Target.com has 10% off coupons that they cycle from time to time, so a Google search or two might be in order to find the current one. Works with or without a Target card.

www.storeyourmedia.com has an excellent selection of CD storage options...I got 4 of these from them last year and I love 'em. All of their prices include shipping and there's no tax, either.

You might want to check them out, particularly if you're looking for something non-ugly to hold a big media library.

Let's see. It took about 40 minutes to get to Ikea from Denton. Dallow said he was about 20 minutes away from Denton. So roughly an hour to get to Ikea.

Ikea kicks ass and I stand by them 100%. Again, as long as you make sure it all looks sturdy (and maybe do some small modifications), you get fairly-good quality stuff that is very stylish.

I probably make 3-4 Ikea runs a year.

Sean Connery: I've got to ask you about the Penis Mightier.

Alex Trebek: What? No. No, no, that is The Pen is Mightier.

Sean Connery: Gussy it up however you want, Trebek. What matters is does it work? Will it really mighty my penis, man?

Alex Trebek: It's not a product, Mr. Connery.

Sean Connery: Because I've ordered devices like that before - wasted a pretty penny, I don't mind telling you. And if The Penis Mightier works, I'll order a dozen.

Alex Trebek: It's not a Penis Mightier, Mr. Connery. There's no such thing!

Nicholas Cage: Wait, wait, wait.. are you selling Penis Mightiers?

Alex Trebek: No! No, I'm not.

Sean Connery: Well, you're sitting on a gold mine, Trebek!

I would get this if I had a bigger place.

http://www.storeyourmedia.com/triple-wide-tall-mission-media-cabinet-solid-oak-veneer-glass-doors-oak-walnut-cherry.aspx

And yes, I need something big.
Thanks for the site, I'll probably with with some sort of CD storage rack from this place, and other furnishings from Ikea.

Which BTW, takes me about 35 mins to get to with NO traffic. Even with some stops, it's less than an hour away.
I'll have to borrow a truck or SUV though. My Miata can barely carry a couple gallons of milk.
Mah-mah-mah-Myyyyyyyyyy Miata
He's even got a tiny car that could be easily concealed for hot dallowings.

Though I am surprised there's no slate gray van with blacked-out windows, several dents, and a replacement tire instead of a real one on the back left axle.

One of the ones I had looked at was this one:
http://www.storeyourmedia.com/792-cd-552-dvd-12-shelf-glass-storage-rack-silver.aspx

Since I have 700-800 CD's and about as many DVD-sized cases between games & movies, those metal racks might be a cheaper alternative.
Very slick looking shrike.
Should go with the entertainment center I'm thinking of getting for my stuff when it moves back into the basement.

Which I'd try and find a link for, if Ultimate Electronics had a link for it on their site. :whistle2:s

The TV stands in my bedroom and in my living room are both made out of similar metal tubing shelves, so these fit in perfectly with my existing decor.

That glass one is lovely, though. I don't think that was on the site when I bought mine, or I definitely would've considered it.

My wife was the one who was doing some preliminary searching for what to do with all the media I have and was the one who found that site, as well as the glass one.

I could discuss Radiohead and home furnishings all day, but I have to go to work...

Where I'll most likely discuss Radiohead and home furnishings all day.

Have a good afternoon, OTT!

If you're being serious, I have to agree. I still have more of a love for Me Against the World though.

I'm being totally serious. 2pac was a genius.
Cool, I just realized all the prices on that site INCLUDE shipping, and there's no tax.

Perfect!
For stuff like that, free shipping is a huge thing.
3.25 hours until I can go home and play Bomberman.
Must be nice.

Though, I am leaving at 5PM because I have to make it home by 6PM for the electrician that's coming by to give me a quote on the basement. Same thing tomorrow with a different one @ 6:30PM.

Dallas is EXPLODING!

explosions.jpg

The three-alarm gas fire at Southwest Industrial Gases Inc., located in the 500 block of South Industrial Boulevard, sparked several explosions and sent flames at least 100 feet into the air.

"It started real small at first. There was a couple of big booms and once that started, you know, flames started going everywhere -- debris was going all over the freeway with fire attached to it," said witness Trystan Bright. "It was kinda scary. Everybody started trying to put their cars in reverse. A couple of wrecks almost occurred."

We had something like that a couple years ago, from a company called Praxair. Real mess, since it pretty much destroyed the entire plant and they ended up relocating to the other side of the river from St. Louis, in Cahokia, IL.

Finally fucking done with school, and I think I might get an A in my one class. That'll be a nice balance against the F in my other class.

But I still can't find my fuckING HEADPHONES.

Last place they can be is my friend's place, where I will probably check later. If they're not there, they're lost, and I'll have to drop another $20 to get new ones :(

You could also check deepdiscount.com dallow (I assume they still sell some media cabinets and things.) Shipping is free for them there as well. Not sure what all they have and if the prices are competitive though.
