Made some more progress on zesty.  Got rose and dezel in my party now.  Dezels asch 2.0  I almost like asch over him.  Rose is ok for a clumsy assassin.  Sheena filled that trope better.  Really wish they had kept xillias food system where you just buyed meals from shops since locking them to inns when you rarely have access or have to backtrack constantly to one is bad design.  Should just do a combination of legendia and xillias systems.  Make meals in town/buy them and limit it to 20 of any food with 30 when you get a key item basket.  Then have the effects last such and such length of time.  Would be considerably better than the inn system.

Phantasia is done. Now to jump on Destiny and then I'll take a tales break and jump on something newer. I'm thinking Dragons Crown.

made more progress in zesty tales.  Got to goddod learned rock break left and went back to malory forest.  After I finish there and the caves there I will head to that underground dungeon with the no looting sign lol.  Even a npc in pendragon said it was a weak deterrent.

Done with Assassins Creed II

Decided to play Pure before Halo 4 and oh man it's so good. Makes me sad that Blackrock got shutdown.

found the peacock giganto people were talking about in malory forest.  Easy boss and also very beautiful.  I actually feel bad for killing it.  Also got the giant scorpion in the underground ruins.  That was tough since the thing hits like a truck.  Died 3 times on it before I got it right the 4th time.  Its funny that guys a glass cannon.  Once you hit him like 3 combos or so it goes down fast.  I'm mixed on him though since while he's only weak to earth which is something slay has great access for at this point, he's resistant to the other elements and neutral so outside you and edna it makes it much harder for your party members to contribute anything.  Especially since they aren't gonna be dodging like you are.

Next up is the huge boar in the meadow then kabuki bat back near lastonbell since that's really far to travel.

Oh and a nice tip for anyone playing.  Westron gorge which is northwest of pendragon has a shop right at the entrance that sells equipment much higher than what you can get at goddod even at that point in the game.  Feldspar tier equipment is 125-140 range stats wise.

I'm working on Kung Fu Rabbit. Didn't expect this game to be as fun or addicting. After this I'm going to switch over to Unwritten Tales 2 again to finally finish it and then COD Blops 3 should be installed / updated and ready to go.

Sucks the area past lastonbell is locked out after you advanced the story there I'm guessing so I cannot go back to fight the kabuki bat.  Got lastonbell blessing back though but its useless since it only extends to malory forest and the meadow.  You get alot of exp for killing the serial killer in lastonbell to get its blessing back.  Nearly all my characters leveled up.   The story is really sad for that and I felt like they rushed it and could of done better by actually having you meet the npcs involved first.  It also jumps from you going to talk to a npc to it missing by the npc next to the one you just talked to but still wants you to go to the inn to see the npc.  They fudged up there obviously.  Then after you spend the night the serial killer appears and the game tells you to chase after it but doesn't show where it went.  Magically after you exix town to find it suddenly its daytime.  Guess they were too lazy to give the meadow a night setting.

Just wanna know which game to play first and which ones will he put in my backlog

Fallout 4
Uncharted collection
Until dawn
WWE 2k 16 career mode
Grand theft auto 5

Went back through the two caves outside goddod.  Guessing the second one will have a boss at the end that's story locked considering I went through there and there was nothing.  Guess I will continue the story now then.

Until Dawn is a pretty nice surprise.

Also, I recently got 100% of the trophies in Run Like Hell and thankfully I finished Book of Unwritten Tales 2. Now I'm working on Get off my Lawn and probably going to get the Megamind plat this weekend.

Sold my 360 beat Stella Glow (10 chapters 1-4 are short but it is a decent SRPG) but I am going to NG+ it and Starcraft LoV is next. Hopefully they will last me till Just Cause 3 is out.

Well just ordered a bunch of games from best buy so the backlog grows. I want to get until dawn but its not available yet :( and I am actually playing fallout 4 a lot more (took me a while to get into it) and now have the urge to play fallout 3 lol.

Got through to part 3 in zestiria.  Have to say I'm pretty underwhelmed now story wise.  Most of it is pretty bare bones and there are alot of filler areas.  Also still annoyed with not telling you where you specifically need to go at times.  Tip I can give other players is usually if it wont let you teleport to a specific area that's the place you need to go to.

Went back to glaivland basin for like the 10th time and they finally let me in without giving me some dumb cutscene saying to go somewhere else.  Cutscenes and music there were gorgeous.  Boss battle was scripted and half cutscene so it wasn't very good or fun to fight.  Went down really easy since I stacked a bunch of 15% capability skills against it lowering its damage by around 45-90% and increasing mine by that much per character.  Would of went down even faster if i had sanctified ednas mythril umbrella which would do 30% on its own.

Just to tell you backtracking near the end is normal for almost all tales of games. Beat Legacy of the Void playing Stella Glow again.

I've played most tales games (all the ones released in english anyway besided xillia 2 thats still in my backlog.)  Zestiria is stupid about it though since it has the quick travel save system but locks out destinations the majority of the time.  On top of which it inserted these awful back and forth segments between pendrago and glaivland which irritate the crap out of me.  Only abyss is worse since the entirety of part 3 was backtracking to the same areas for cutscenes.  No other title was anywhere near as much backtracking.  And in most cases you go to new areas by the end.

Vesperia had little to no backtracking by the end.  Outside undine and efreet the other areas were all new.  Of course its part 3 is on the shorter side much like xillias.

Anywho Made it to the final dungeon after backtracking all the way through the forest to elysia.  Decided to stop half way since sidequests opened up again.  Finished the medusa sisters sidequest, the thief children as well.  Man the latter had a downer ending.  Surprisingly the sisters one wasn't.  Poet quest appeared and it was even voiced and had quite a bit of dialogue.  Seems like a waste.  Gonna finish up the other couple quests then return to elysia since you need gramps to activate the katz korner sidequest.

finished zestiria.  Shame the game goes out with a wimper.  Most of part 3 was just doing inane fetch quests and there were far too many areas that were just empty with a giganto at the end.  The worst part was the last 6 giganto bosses in the final dungeons along with the 3 others I fought.  Way too high hp totals and in the case of 2 of them no weaknesses to exploit and resist half elements.  Having 50-90k hp when you can only deal about 500-900 per arte is bad design.  And this is on the lowest difficulty setting no less.  I can't imagine the suffering on higher ones.  Though it probably is less tedious if you get the right damage increasing skills from bonus skill unions but that's too much work imo and I made it through the entire game without doing so up to this point.

Final boss fights prettymuch scripted so it felt kinda like a waste of time.

overall I would say it was worth playing but not as good as hearts r was and I really hope they don't carry over anything outside equipment fusion from it in the next title.  Oh and arte weakness combo system.  That was lovely since it allows you to use any arte you want after someone hits a weakness first.

rating number score wise I'd give it a 5.5 out of 10.  Major deductions being save glitch, water temple, slowest and most limiting start of any tales of title, and the randomized equipment system.  Making shops not sell fixed equipment is bad game design since it makes any playthrough partially up to luck.

anywho with the year drawing to a close I have finished

Off the top of my head.  Really should start keeping a list.

So 10 games to 11 months isn't too bad considering the amount of hours put into these titles varies from 7 hours to 70+.

Would of helped if I hadn't started titles then quit or put them to the side for various reasons. ff9 and professor layton diabolical box I stopped once zesty came out.  neptunia 3 and magical star sign got too grindy so I dropped both and don't really plan on picking up either again.  Took a break from wild arms 2 because it was too long (had already put 40 hours into it by the end of disc 1). ps2 stopped reading discs reliably so fes got put on hold till i bought a new one and by then I had lost interest.  Ran into loading issues in sayuki on the vita.  Couldn't figure out how to proceed in sherlock homes. Lost my patience in spyro collecting stuff wise to proceed.  Had I finished any of these that would be a few more titles on my list.

Well beat Stella Glow again. I really think Ewan is a girl and I wonder how the tail is attached.since Avan comments on it moving. The lack of the nose also strikes me as a possible giveaway but some female characters have noses. The towel thing at the Spa as well. I rather not think to hard on it though. Legacy of the Void is great but I'm done for now and will have to decide on getting a PS4 again.

Just recently finished playing through Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls. Took me a little while, I would often play for a few hours, and then take a break for several days. Not a commentary on the game, I've simply been very busy with other projects recently.

I've recently been playing a fair amount of World of Warships. I quite like it so far, and have a friend who is also into it. That's a game that you are never entirely finished with, so I don't really count it as fodder for the backlog. (in much the same way that I think of Civ V and Crusader Kings II) There are several other titles I'm meaning to get to, especially after the Black Friday shopping bonanza that has left my shelf brimming over with quality content.

But for now I'm working on a project for a Christmas present that is absorbing most of my hours. It's gaming-related, so I'll be posting some details on it when I'm further along. Kind of neat, really.

Finished Get off My Lawn, Megamind, Magus, Platted Playstation All-Star Battle Royale for PS Vita, and Platted Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Still working on Mad Max and Fallout 4. I started Frobisher Says on my vita and will hopefully get 100% of the trophies by this weekend.

I'll probably start another Vita game before the weekend because I am going on a 3 day trip to Denver. Glad to see everyone is still going strong!

Finished ff9.  so that bumps my total up to 11 12 games this year.  Same as last year 2 more than last year ignoring whether or not I forgot some.

Body Smash FTW. Greatest skill in the game for me then again I wasn't playing that seriously. I remember the Front Mission 1 days on SNES and DS of having 12 guys with rockets and just obliterating everything from afar.

That reminds me I never played Front Mission 2. Anyone have a NTSC copy for SNES PM me I am buying.

currently on mission 33.  Got eject punch and 2 shield punches on hibari.  None of the other party members want to learn shield punch annoyingly so I will just stick to machine gun rofl spam.  Though fricken yun doesn't seem to want to learn that either :/

Recently platted Uncharted: Golden Abyss, along with 100% in Frobisher Says. I have 3 trophies left in OlliOlli but I don't think I'm going to get the rad mode trophy, playing through all the scenarios in Hatoful Boyfriend and working on Fallout 4. I also finished Call of Duty: Declassified.

fighting the final boss for front mission 3 as we speak.  almost done with this game finally.  easily one of the longest srpgs out there and it dragged on way too long.  Next up I think I will be starting cold steel since it finally arrived today.

and done.  wow he went down easy.  The enemies prior to this were tougher lol.

With that I have finished 12 games this year.

Hello guys!  It's been a while.

Took a break from video games and may have to take another this spring since I'll be going to school full-time again.  Last semester then graduation - YEAH!!

Well I gave up on Borderlands and I just started playing Vanquish.  This game is pure, non-stop fun!  I'm hoping that I can finish it before school starts.  I should be ok.

ai cheats at the card game.  Fishing minigames much better than p4's mc becomes a mute after the prologue but got his voice back before the train station scene after 2nd boss.

New year, new poll!

Here are the votes for 2015.
Finishing 1-20 Games:  37 votes
Finishing 21-51 Games: 27 votes
Finishing 51-100 Games: 7 votes
Finishing over 100 Games: 1 vote

Hope everyone had a great year and was able to put a dent in their backlog. Now let's do it again in 2016!

just finished the optional bird boss and the story boss for the forest.  Random voice work in the middle there was random.  Laura and elliot remain my best damage dealers while rean and arisa play back up singers still.  Elliot actually contributed to the phoenix wright style detective stuff going on.  Nice to have him pipe in with more than a "i'm still here" dialogue.

This year I'm gonna put off spending money on games unless it's something I've wanted for a while or a deal that's too good not to buy. There were way too many times where I saw games going for way cheaper than the price I bought them last year, and most of them I had barely touched.

I just started playing Puzzle Quest 2. At first I wasn't sure if I would like it as much as the first Puzzle Quest, but now I'm sucked in.

I checked my e-mail for the purchase confirmation. I bought it from the Xbox Marketplace nearly two years ago for $2.99. I hadn't played my 360 for nearly six months, but this goes to show why I won't be disconnecting it any time soon.

Yeah if cag has taught me anything its wait for the price to drop to 20 or less then hit it. Unless it is something that will be low print and likely to become more expensive/rare then you have little choice. Of course predicting things right is next to impossible.

I plan on doing the same though and avoiding making many purchases this year since I want to knock my backlog down to 80 games at least. Only game I am 100% planning on getting now is digimon cyber sleuth now that the psvita physical version leak happened.

Anywho made some more progress in cold steel. Took down the 2 quest bosses in bareahard and now I'm in the under ground aqueducts.  Jusis just got his special attack and his magic stats and damage are higher than emmas so he's really pulling his weight now in comparison to the start of this chapter.  Machias is really lagging behind since he has no multi target physical skills yet and his magic stats not that high either to justify lacking them.

Fie continues to be the best character dialogue wise.  Good head on her shoulder and her lines are hilarious.  Emma is good mostly thanks to really nice magic damage. Rean became a god now that he has aerial wind spell.  Its got huge aoe and the water blob enemies that appear in spread out groups of up to 5 happen to be weak to it. Ignoring that all of them are able to one shot the platinum bugs.  Jusis is crazy though since he's dealing 2k+ damage to them with the fire spell while everyone else is doing half that.

Not really a backlogged game as I beat the last gen one but I'm finishing my playthrough of GTA V on Xbox One and just thought I'd post a rant here that I never really realized how sensitive the Wanted system is in this. IV seemed to have notched it up last game but in this one it's insane how the littlest things you do trigger a star. And its actual system makes me wish for the old days with the wanted level down icons as the AI involved in the chases always knows where to find you when you're hidden and during chases it doesn't matter how far you get from the action the game will spawn cars near or right on top of you. The wait times are ridiculous too, even for just a two star level it feels like an eternity since if you try to keep moving you risk them spawning near you and starting the chase again or if you just sit somewhere 8/10 times you'll have cops show up out of nowhere.

finished chapter 2 and moved into chapter 3.  killed the tartarus floor 3 bosses and midterms.  Now all thats left is the field study and that will be the end of chapter 3.  Tip.  fishing spots are on the 1st and 3rd floors for the school dungeon so make sure to hit those up along with the one in town and the one out back by the school.  Once you have the new fishing rod you get 5 times per spot an since fish can give up to 50 of an element when caught it can be very handy.

almost done with chapter 3 for cold steel.  Got millie in my party now along with arisa and gaius special attacks.  The poor optional stone boss was a cake walk it was so sad.  I actually ended up stalling the fight so I could recover cp from emptying it on millies fight earlier.  Millies so broken too since she's immune to physical attacks.  Now its just emma who's without a special mystic arte type move out of my current party. Emma machias elliot are the last hold outs.

Machias is just so limited.  weak physical stat, weak magic stat and barely any moves most of which are single target.  I've heard he gets a move that lets him pass his turn off to someone else though so at least then he will make himself worth while.

The nord highlands are a bit ridiculous.  Too big and way too many enemies that insta respawn.  I wish they had made them normal that way I could sweep the map like I usually would then move on.  I can tell I'm underleveled since I've gone up 4-5 levels since I have been here.  Still haven't unlocked the rest of their quartz slots.  emma has 2 left and arisa has 3 or 4.

Easiest enemies to kill there are the sheep and fish followed by ant eaters and mini dinos. Only fishing spot I have found so far was at the lake just short of the life floaty ring on the dock and it only let me fish 3 times.  The lake there has rainbow trout though and they give 15-30 of each element sepith you need which is nice.  Managed to catch 3 of them I think too.
