Good. Does this mean they're finally going to show real television again?
Or something resembling it...
I feel that way when I see previews for shows I love too. Like Desperate Housewives (shut up :bomb: ) and CSI. Sadly, I don't watch 24.
CSI for teh win. :D

So I'm watching the news right now and they showed four suspects in a gang related beating/stabbing and I recognised 2 of them. I hope they get their cheeks taken in prison.
The Tussin?
Umm... OK, whatever floats your boat.

Well, if they rag on me for liking Reno 911!... you better run, Derek...

How silly, on the Married with Children rerun they just bought Bud a computer, the only specs I can remember off the top of my head are 33 baud modem, 40 mb HDD, and 7 mb ram...
Im so tired I cant feel my face. Yet theres no way I could fall asleep right now even if I tried. Sucks.
Clearly you need to discover the benefits of support groups for the terminally ill.

On a long enough time line, the survival rate for everyone will drop to zero.
Holy shit that was a strange epsiode of South Park, it's gets more disturbing all the time.
Yep... good stuff... :)

Just caught A Walk to Remember on TBS, and man, that shit is sad. No human could keep a straight face while watching it, assuming they have a soul.

Buying FarCry and Shadow of the Colossus was two good decisions of mine. I've been posting less and playing more games! *joy* :D

Cool. It's great to see that people seem to be playing more games now. :)

I couldn't sleep, or rather my mind wouldn't let me, so I'm going to do some work on the computer for a while. Maybe fall asleep while watching a movie or something...
just popping in to say that frisky, your avatar looks like a spooky vagina, goodnight
You must have one fucked up mind to be seeing that. I changed it anyways.
I just started reading The Dark Knight Strikes Again, since I finally knocked out The Dark Knight Returns last night.
Just finished up. It's always nice to see Supes put in his place. That stupid fucking bastard.

Well then, time for sleep. Good thing I don't have to work 'til noon.

Yeah, I'm finally going to sleep as well. Thankfully, Friday I get paid from my Saturday job. I'll have a little bit of money. :D

Then, on Halloween, I should get paid from my primary, part-time job... :D
So little sleep and so very ill.
I'm finally getting over my cold, I hope. I had a tough two nights Sat. and Sun. coughing all night, even after two shots of Nyquil.

Just couldn't get much sleep last night, but just cause I wasn't sleepy...

...that and I kind of wanted to stay up for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. But I couldn't get to sleep for at least an hour or so after that. And of course, had to get up at 6:45 this morning.

I usually can't deal with less than 8 hours of sleep, but I think I had maybe four. And I can't miss another fuggin class in my freakin one credit hour seminar cause I think I'd fail. I might be able to email the professor but he'd probably want a doctors note and I can't get to the doctor without a vehicle.
This really really sucks.

And if you go to the university health clinic they'd probably tell you that you were pregnant.

Heh, they'd probably say it's just the weather and then I'd tell them I've been on off sick for weeks. It's really REALLY bad this week. I just coughed blood, I haven't done that before. I know it's another infection because it's spread to my lips and started making my lips sting and chap like my last infection. I really need antibiotics. Maybe I should call my mother at work and get her to take me to the doctor?

Yeah, I probably should have had antibiotics. I had a bit of blood too. Oh well.

But you should get some anitbiotics. I just didn't want to bother setting up an appt. and then paying an outrageous doctor bill just for him to tell me that I'm sick.

Heh, I still get health care coverage from my parents insurance. Yeah, last time I went to the doctor she said I was sick and I needed to watch what I was eating cause I gained weight. I almost told her to fuck off. I don't need to hear I'm fat while I'm ill.
I have 2 exams next week and a party on Saturday so I want to be well NOW.

Geez. Why do professors find it necessary to give exams and shitty homework during Halloween week?

STD's? Just kidding. What kind of infection chaps your lips and how many times have you had this before?

I like it when people get really bad chapped lips to where it becomes red and chapped above the lip, onto the skin. Makes them look like they have huge lips.

When I was in school, I referred to this as "extend-a-lip".

Rrrg, I hated that shit. I especially hated it when my lips got chapped to the point where they got really red and made me look like I was wearing lipstick.

It's actually associated with upper respitory infections.

Why do people get angry at the doctor for telling them that?
It is thier job, after all.. and if a patient has gained a decent amount of weight since thier last visit, wouldn't they be rather remiss in not pointing out that thier patient should watch thier diet and caloric intake a little more closely, due to all of the negative effects carrying extra weight has on a person?

If I was coming in for a physical I would care to hear it but I was going in for an illness. I just needed the facts for my illness.

But when was the last time you went? 6 months? 3 months?
Any significant weight gain over such a relatively small term should be mentioned by the doctor. Of course, I guess how the doctor broached the topic may play in to the emotional responce a little...

They are mentioning it because they have your best intrest at heart and a true concern for your health. It's not as if they're trying to embarass or make fun of you.. if you doctor said "Hey, blimpo, lay of the twinkies" or "Hey, tubby, it's not like you couldn't skip a meal", then you may want to find another doctor. But really, if they are a good doctor, they just want to be conginsant of something that could be an issue. Not to mention that it's ever so much easier to gain weight than it is to lose it.

Actually it was a 16 months. And at the time I was at my lowest low weight because of working an active job and walking to classes. And then I gained the weight after I wasn't working.

Well, then really... the doctor does have a point.
Take it as criticism, not as a personal attack.

It's not something you've done wrong, but rather, something you should pay attention to.

Maybe I would have been more receptive if she was my regular doctor. But on a different note, I am really out of it. And Jonathan is not back from work and he went to work 14 hours ago.

Eh, probably had a long day and then stopped at the bar on the way home.
Long days tend to have a way of working on your nerves.

Nevermind... it's too early yet.
He's probably still at work. Hopefully he's done before 24 hours. I hated having to pull those 24 hour shifts.

he doesn't drink.
He probably didn't finish and he's working overtime again. This is his second 14 hour day this week and once he gets off he's off of work until Monday.

He doesn't drink at all? Wow.

Is he off because of vacation, his boss playing "make good" with the hours, or just by the nature of his job?

Is he paid for the overtime?

He gets every other weekend off and one day each week, usually Thursday but this week he worked an overnight shift so they had to change his schedule to only work Sun, Mon, Tues, Thurs. But he still went overtime. He should get time and a half for anything over 40 hours.
And no he doesn't drink at all.

Wow, I'm guessing he doesn't take classes.

No... the system is against him in that respect. There's a whiole long story on why he's so behind in classes. I rather not go in depth into why or how.

Must be nice to get overtime pay.

Wow. Doesn't drink at all.
No wine with dinner, or a beer or two after a hard day's work or while watching the games on Sunday.

That's rather surprising.

Yes, Jonathan and I don't drink. It's not appealing to us. Our vice is soda.
At least he has plenty of work to keep him busy! :D
Well he's the Music Movie and Books Specialist at Target so he's a step above peon. Even though he still gets peed on by management overworking him.

Is there a reason for that, or is just because you don't care for the taste, etc of alcohol?
Is there a reason for that, or is just because you don't care for the taste, etc of alcohol?
He hates the taste of alcohol and I have only had one drink and I didn't care for it.

One of my best friends wouldn't touch alcohol before his 21st birthday. We'd go to parties, and everyone would bug him, ask him if he wanted something to dirnk, but absolutely not. He was actually kind of bothered by those who were drunk. Wouldn't have anything to do with alcohol before he was 21, but would admit that he would probably drink a bit after turning 21.

But, boy that 21st birthday came, and now he drinks more than most people I know. Kind of funny the turnaround from nothing to anything.
