I tested it out, seemed okay, sold the box, the guy had it ring after one night.

Whatever box I've had that one in hasn't crapped out on me after it was installed. It was originally in the box mentioned above, but they stopped making the whispermax, so I moved it to the box I was going to keep and put the regular talismoon whisper fan in the 360 I was going to sell. (Again, this failed.)
It seems that they've redesigned the whispermax, though I haven't tried it yet... when I get an extra 30 bucks, I plan on giving it a shot with the arcade I have lying around.

The one caveat is the fan is extremely loud when on "nitro" mode, which is what I leave it on. You eventually learn to drown it out, but it's bad enough that chika refers to turning on that box as "starting the lawnmower".
