Panzer Dragoon Saga
Panzer Dragoon Orta (Xbox)

The only one I need is Mini, which is worth about $120 & about as rare as Saga

Went to the flea market today. Englishtown, NJ. Nobody was selling much of anything at the booths. Except for a couple Genesis systems and controllers, there wasn't anything older than PS2. There was a lady selling various PS2/GCN/XBOX games for 2 for $12 sealed, but that was the best deal I could find.

Nobody had NES consoles except for the indoor stores. That's what I went for, so I bought one there. $45 for a console, two controllers, all the necessary cables, and SMB/Duck Hunt. Not too bad, not too good. The controllers are shot, though. One feels okay, but it's faded, and the other looks good, but it's stiff as hell.

I would say that the 'stiff' controller may be gummed up inside, since I bought a PS2 controller like that a while ago and all it needed was a good cleaning inside and out to make it work like new. The faded one you may be able to replace some pieces on and get it looking like new as well.

Mind you, if the system is just to play and you don't really care about how it looks, I guess it'd be fine.

That might be the case, but I'm leaning more towards the fact that it's worn out. I wore out my NES controllers that I had when I was a kid, and I was lucky enough to find a lightly used one a few weeks ago to replace one of them. The rubber membranes inside the controller wear out and tear themselves up. You can try swapping them with other membranes from crappy third party controllers, but it's never the same.

I even wore out my Dreamcast controller from Christmas 1999. The right direction on the d-pad membrane had a crack worn into it. I'm currently using the player 2 controller I got just to be able to play.

I'm going to stock up on all sorts of older controllers when I'm done Christmas shopping. There are still oodles of brand new SNES and DC controllers on ebay, and I'm going to get a bunch. SNES controllers are compatible with the NES with a few modifications, and that's good because I haven't found many NES controllers on ebay that were listed as being new. I'll just mod the SNES controllers as I need them.
Lol the englishtown fleamarket never has anything.
I used to go there in the 90s, and I stopped.

I went there in 2002, and they had some stuff.

I went there last February, and they had nearly nothing of interest.

I went there yesterday, and they had nearly nothing of interest.

Is this a new trend? At least they have cheap porn.

Oh really? I could've sworn that I saw official Nintendo ones. I'll just have to look carefully before I buy, as usual.

The sell new snes controllers for 5 dollars at the inside store thats the only good thing other then the two for the price of one snes games. and yeah the guy that used to sell nes and snes games left in 2003

I was never much of a regular there, so I don't know much about regular sellers. I just know there's this one store I got the NES from, and there's this other store that has video games and action figures. I requested a store directory from their website after I got home yesterday, so I'll be more informed when I go back in a few weeks. My friend isn't going to be playing for very long if I only send him SMB/Duck Hunt and this extra copy of Rad Racer I had lying around.

I do remember this indoor video game store back when I was there in 2002. I don't know if it's the same store as the ones I went to yesterday. They had a couple arcade cabinets behind the counter, one of them a Neo Geo MVS. The one I got the NES from has an X-Men vs. Street Fighter cabinet that you can play. Unfortunately, it ate my quarters yesterday. The dude there gave me back my quarters, though :)

Something interesting about this NES, it doesn't seem to want to work with this spare 72-pin connector I got a few years ago. It was brand new, and it's not working with this NES. Once I put the old connector back in the system, it worked again. I've either got a weird system here, or I've got a defective connector. The old connector isn't too bad, but it's only going to get worse...

And I tried cleaning out that one NES controller, but one of the standoffs where one of the screws goes is broken. I think that might be contributing to the stiffness of the d-pad. The membranes do look decent, though, and I'll try swapping them into one of my older controllers.

I went to the flea market here today, it is only on the first sunday of every month, thankfully my buying competition slept in and so i had the place to my self. I picked up the first 3 resident evils for $5 and Dark Cloud 2 for $5 then foudn a guy that had a box of Xbox, PS2, Genny, and NES games for $5(for the whole lot), I also picked up a copy of Mario Kart 64 for $4, the stupid thing here is that so many flea market vendors are bidding up games at the storage auctions they get them at that they have to sell them so high I dont want to buy them!! last year they woudl sell a box of 15-20 games for $20 now they wont budge lower than $5 a game. and none of the games are guaranteed.

Conker's Bad Fur Day x2 (cart only)-$5 each
Raiden (Jaguar)-$3
Atari Lynx (no battery cover)-$5
Super C-$3
Mario 3-$3
Willow-$3

Passed on a Turbografx with no hookups or anything for $10

C2N Commedore Tape Drive In Box - $1

I actually saw this at an auction a few blocks away from my house last week in a box with some CDs, tapes, records etc. I didn't want it bad enough to stick around since it was the only thing I had any interest in at the auction and I figured they would be selling the whole box as one item which I didn't want to deal with or maybe have to bid a few more bucks to get if I didn't mind dealing with it. I was happy to see that the one junk seller at the flea market ended up with the box and I ended up with this for a buck which was what the seller asked for it. This is the first time I've seen any old Commodore (64) computer stuff in the wild.

Dreamcast with Power Cord, A/V Cord, 2 1st Party Controllers & 1 VMU

Sega Genesis With AC Adaptor, RF Cord, 1st Party 3 Button Controller & 1st Party 6 Button Controller

Pelican Universal Wireless Arcade Stick With Adaptor (PL-965) (PS2, Xbox)

Some Sort of Heating/Cooling Pad That Plugs Into A USB Port

Loose Eyetoy Camera

Hoyle Card Games (PC)
Quake III (No Manual) (PC)
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne (PC)
Hot Shots Golf 2 (PS1)
Stealth ATF (NES)
Tiger-Heli (With Sleave) (NES)
Rocketeer, The (NES)
Silent Service (NES)
Mortal Kombat (Genesis)
Toy Story (Genesis)
Sonic Spinball (Genesis)
Sonic The Hedgehog x2 (Genesis)

$8

This all came from a box O junk except for the Pelican controller which was sitting out on this seller's table. I first noticed the NES games and looking through the box saw and was interested in the Genesis 6 button controller as I only have one that I bought new back when they first came out and have been looking for an extra on the cheap over the last few years and unfornately I've only seen 2 before while bargin hunting in recent years and it didn't work out getting either of them cheap for one reason or another. I saw the Pelican controller and the guy wanted a buck for it and I mentioned seeing a piece for it in the box and that I also was interested in the Genesis controller which I was holding. He mentioned something about it going with the Genesis to which I said it had another controller incase he'd be willing to part with just the 6er knowing that and he said I could have all of the Genesis stuff for $5. I asked about the whole box and he said $10 (the Dreamcast was marked $5 by itself). I picked up the Dreamcast heard some stuff shaking around loose inside and politely explained how I figured it probaby didn't work seeing how fragile CD based systems are (especially Dreamcasts) and offered $8 which he took. I looked inside the Dreamcast when I first saw it and it was pretty dirty even inside when you open up the CD lid. Some other random meaningless junk inside this box including 3 phone cords, a mouse, a modem, a watch etc and even a spider living inside of it! which I didn't actually notice until today.

Even though it's not gaming related I took a picture of this thing that has a heating/cooling pad on it that plugs into a USB port. Does anybody know what it's called and what purpose it serves?

I passed on a copy of Aliens Versus Predator: Extinction (PS2) $8. I knew it held a decent value but wasen't sure exactly how much it was worth online currently and didn't have too much interest in playing it, this younger kid that was selling it (probably about 12) had a bunch of PS2/Xbox games all $8 except for some old sports games that were cheaper and nothing else worth $8 at this backwoods flea market or anywhere for that matter. Also had some N64 games for $5 again nothing special.

This flea market is indoor/outdoor and once it gets too cold for people to sell outdoors it's not worth going to for just what is 99% the same old stuff being sold every week inside. I was walking around inside before leaving and to my surprise noticed a 2600 Vador with what I could tell without counting was well over 50 games. I looked through it a little bit then found the lady selling it. She said it was $80 firm and that it was her son's then she mentioned how somebody wanted just the games earlier and she was instructed not to part it out. Too rich and I could only do a friendly laugh and say that wasen't going to work as I only had $20 and maybe when I was richer. I looked through all of the games and remembered a few which I though might be rare or rather uncommon but nothing crazy as they were only worth a few bucks even on eBay. I don't know Atari stuff as well as I know the 8-bit and newer games but I'm sure enough that everything else was really common to fairly common. It sucked seeing 2600 stuff for about what it would go for on eBay since I rarely ever see anything Atari (even 2600) around here. I didn't really see much of anything I would actually get around to playing that I didn't have already so in a way I'm probably better off not being able to get it cheap enough for me to buy. I probably would have tried to CIF the lady a buck if I saw Barnstorming in the bunch even though she didn't want to part out the bundle as it's one common 2600 game I don't have that I liked back in the day.

Today I found some good deals at the flea market.

$7.50- Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes(complete, and in better condition than my current copy, that I got for $15.00 from a different vendor over a month ago):D

wireless ps2 controller (was brand new) - $10
They made an official wireless PS2 controller?
They made an official wireless PS2 controller?
made by Katana...but it said "Official PlayStation Licensed Product" and it had the PS logo hologram

It seems like everywhere between pawn shops, garage sales and flea markets people are finding mint copies of FFVII. Is it just harder in a major metropolitan area like Chicago or what? I live in Schaumburg now and work in Vernon Hills, anyone know of any good places to find rare titles? I really want a mint FFVII just to complete my collection.
They made an official wireless PS2 controller?
They sell them at Target, Gamestop and I think even Wal*Mart started selling them now. They're about $25, if I remember correctly.
Strider 2 (with case, manuals and bonus 'Strider 1' disc)- $3
That's probably actually Strider 2 if you haven't played it yet as IIRC they had a major error (on all or most of the Strider 2s on PSX) where they got the labeling on the disks for Strider 1 & 2 backwards (as it is with my copy I got new back when it came out).

@Lord_Kefka

I live in a fairly small area and have only seen Final Fantasy VII once in the wild over the last 4 years and would have though that I'd see it more often (about once a year roughly maybe a little more often). It's just harder to find good CD based games in the wild IMO and for bigger areas harder to be the first one to good stuff such as when it's cheap I would think. I still haven't seen Castlevania SOTN in the wild in recent years and figured I would have after all of the time I've spent hunting in the wild since it is fairly common as far as Playstation games go.

Aliens Versus Predator Extinction (PS2, Complete) - $5

Same kid as last week that was selling last gen games for $8 a pop, I offered $5 which was taken.

Power Plug Boxed (Sega Genesis) - .67~

Found this at a junk seller's table. $1 an item or 3 for $2 so I grabbed this and found 2 other non game related items that I also bought.

Xbox Cases Only
Halo
Halo 2
Oddworld Munch's Oddysee
Oddworld Stranger's Wrath
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2x
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4

Free

From the same junk seller I got the Power Plug from, said I could have them as he knew they didn't have any games in the cases. Probably got them in a box lot at an auction. Halo 2 had an unused Xbox Live 2 month trial card in it (which I didn't notice till I got home). 2 games had microsoft catalogs in them and one of the THPS games had a catalog with some extreme sports games a few of which got canceled one of which was a game called Travis Pastrana's Pro Moto X which I've never heard of and they don't even have listed on Gamefaqs.

Yeah I remembered playing it in the arcades way back when. I popped it in
and it surprised me. haha I ended up going on wiki and finding out about the misprint.

WOW you guys sure find some good stuff! The flea market dealers here suck for the most part! Its like all of them went to ebay, and started pricing their stuff off that! The closest thing I got to a deal was PIKMIN 2 complete for 15 bucks. I also get sick of thumbing through all those cruddy xbox clearance sports games they all seems to have hoarded up.

Alot of these guys are trying to charge like 20 bucks for old snes and nes carts...yeah right....I did find NES GBA zelda at a pawn shop for like 3 bucks though.

These are from the last 6-8 weeks worth of finds:

Here are some complete vintage Atari games:

Here are few unspectacular SMS games. Rastan is cool...

These PS1 games came from a local used bookstore. I had to get wipEout in honor of the awesome wipEout HD.

Here's a whole bunch of complete NES goodnes:

Here are few Sega CD & Saturn finds:

And finally some odds 'n ends. I found this Japanese Christmas Nights at a flea market last week...

My pick ups at the flea market today were ok.

Ratchet And Clank: Size Matters (complete) - $5
It was priced at 6 and the lady wouldn't go any lower.

Sly 2: Band Of Thieves (GH, No manual) - $2
Originally $3. I had no idea how scratched it was until looking at it in the light, because the flea market is outside and it was dark out. It thankfully works though >_<

Grim Fandango - (In jewel case with back art but no manual or big box) - 25 cents
Space Quest 6: Roger Wilco In The Spinal Frontier (complete, but no big box) - 50 cents
From the same seller.
Space quest is too old to work on my computer. >_< Grimm works fine though, but I'm gonna wait to get a PC controller to keep playing because using the arrows is a pita.

Official PS1 Memory Card - $1
Originally $2. I needed another one, and not a horrible price.

Hmm this makes me wonder, this guy has a mini game store in my flea market and hes selling like 5 sealed eternal darkness for gamecube. But the best offer he'll take is $15. Should I go for it? He also has like a BUNCH of snes games which are hard to get because they're all in a clump. I wonder if i should browse at that too since I could find rare games like earthbound.
And he has stack of n64 games, and nes games aswell. ALL in stacks. ugh.

I actually found some stuff at Englishtown NJ today. All NES stuff.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 The Arcade Game for $8

All of the below for $20 total...
Dragon Warrior
Bionic Commando
Excitebike
Dance Aerobics
Blades of Steel

Not too bad, not too good. This one outdoors table had a decent selection for decent prices and the best selection and the best prices at the whole flea market. I couldn't bring myself to pay $20 for Mega Man 2, though.

I also saw an Atari 5200 and a bunch of games, but I didn't feel like buying that shitload of fuck.

If you really want to go for them, make sure they're actually sealed and not resealed. Dont forget, when you're talking larger numbers, they might acutally let down, such as $60 for the whole lot, etc.
