Where was this Flea Market? I can't believe I missed it.

My local flea market has a few vendors that always have SMS's for sale for 30-40 dollars. I know I'm eventually gonna break down and buy one from them, but I'm doing my best to hold out for a cheaper price.
It's on M46 just before US131, here's the website

http://www.howardcity.org/Pages/Parks/Burley_Park.htm

Cool, never heard of that one before. I usually try to get to all the local ones, and some out of the area. I'll definitely get to this one next time.

Picked up these today:

Angel COP vol 1-6 VHS (couldn't resist for a quarter each..) - $1.50
Haunting Ground (ps2) - $5.00
MLB 99 & High Heat Baseball (ps1, sealed) - $1.00 each (guy who sold these to me wanted $5 for NFL Gameday 99 lol.. also had Wild Arms alter code F for $5, but when i opened it Wild Arms 3 was in it :/)
WCW Mayhem (N64, boxed mint condition) - $5.00 , probably paid too much, but it was boxed :)
Sonic 3, Bubble and Squeak, Columns III, Batman Returns, Valis (all complete boxed) - $3.00 each

Other than that, same old over priced vendors ($29 for FF Legends II, $29 FF Legends III, $18 for Mario 3, etc).

I found Shining Force 1 and 2 for Sega Genesis mint carts only for $4 each. The same guy prices his SNES Mario games cart only (different games) for $25 each just because they are Mario. I passed on them but got the SF games.

At a small community flea market after work I picked up a silver Gamecube with 1 controller for 5 dollars. I also got a copy of Last of the Mohicans on DVD for 1 dollar. Not bad for a tiny flea market with 15 vendors.

Penguin Famiclone With AC Adaptor, A/V Cord, Controller, Gun & 111 In 1 Cart - $1

A buck was the asking price, I like how the picture for "Donkey Kong" is from a Donkey Kong 64 Guide :)

Genesis 1st Party 6 Button Controller In Box
Mortal Kombat II Guide (Brady Games, Tattoos Still Intact)

$2

Saw this stuff with a Genesis ($5) & some Genesis Games ($3 each). I though it was $5 for all of the Genesis stuff from the sign, only a few sports games & Sonic in the pile. When the lady told me how much and offered me all of the Genesis stuff for $15 I offered two for what I got and she bit after thinking it over for a few seconds.

Nice day at the flea today. I managed to get one guy to give me 2 free games because it was about to rain.

1 NES System with all hookups and controllers (refurbished/cleaned with new 72 pin) $40
1 Bare NES system $5
Legend of zelda - free
Adventures of Link - free
Atari Plug and Play TV game - $3
Adventures of bayou billy - $2
G-Loc Air Battle (complete) - $2
Super Mario Bros. - $2

I had to fix the bare NES up on the motherboard. I bent the pins back up and it works like a charm now. But it's going to need a new one eventually. I cleaned all the dust off the contacts with acohol.

I'm planning on reselling it for at least $30 or $40 or something.

Nice day at the Flea today. Every stand I went to back to back had something! ALOT of CRAP though. I managed to get 2 games for free off a guy.

Finds:

NES System with all hookups, 2 controllers (Refurbished, cleaned inside out and new 72 pin installed) $40

Bare bones NES system that was really dirty - $5

Legend of zela - free (battery still works, gold cart)
Adventures of Link - free
Super Mario Bros. - $2
Adventures of Bayou Billy - $2
G-Loc Air Battle (sega genesis, complete) - $2
Atari Plug and Play system - $3

I passed on alot of crappy old sports games as well as some decent NES titles that were to priced to high..

About the bare NES, it kept getting an orange screen. I adjusted the pins with a flat watch screwdriver and cleaned out the 72 pin connector with alcohol and put everything back together. It works perfectly now. Although it will need a new pin put in eventually. I'm planning on reselling it.

Buying NES systems for under $5, fixing them and reselling them seems like a good way to make some money.

Fatal Frame (Xbox, Complete) - $3

IAP was $4 took $3.

Sega Game Gear (Missing Battery Covers) With Case

Games

Jurassic Park
The Majors Pro Baseball (With Manual & Case)
Sonic Chaos
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (With Case)
X-Men

$5

This was marked $10 and when I turned it on and started messing with it the guy came up and started talking to me and said I could have it for $5 before I even made an offer.

Slot Racers (Cart Only, 2600) - .25 [IAP]

Boring as hell find but it at least keeps my streak alive of finding 2600 stuff every weekend in June and it was actually one I didn't have.

Just got back from the Flea Market

30 manuals for $5

I grabbed this stack of manuals and asked how much it was. The guy says $5, so I took it. He went through it before he put it in a bag, and found a Guitar Hero 3 disc that I didn't know was in there. If he hadn't looked, I could have had a cheap PS2 Guitar Hero game. Ah well. At least I'm on my way to having complete copies of Wanderers From Ys, Super Mario All-Stars, and Final Fantasy III.

3 for $10 - SNES Street Fighter II Turbo, GEN Jewel Master CIB, GEN Task Force Harrier EX (No manual, former rental)

Not much to say, got them from the guys I always buy from.

AC Adaptor for GBC & GBP (New In Box) - $1 [IAP]

Silent Hill (Complete & Non Greatest Hits) - $5

I saw Silent Hill at one of the first tables today at the flea market, had a few Playstation games all marked $5 each. I recognized the guy since I bought Final Fantasy VII off of him last year, he was asking $5 for it and wouldn't take anything less when I started out offering him $3 for it so when I saw Silent Hill today I didn't even bother trying to haggle since I figured he wouldn't and I knew it was well worth it at $5 being the first time I've seen it in the wild around here in years. This is one of those sellers that rarely sells at the flea market, say 1-3 times a year.

While at the flea yesterday I went inside for a minute to grab something to eat, stopped at the video exchange dealer (that never gets any customers because of how insane the prices are) to see if anything new came in. Looking through the glass case, this is what I saw

Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt - $29
Legend of Zelda - $35
Super Mario Kart - $35
Super Mario Bros. 2 - $29
Super Mario Bros. 3 - $29
Super Mario RPG - $50

same games have been sitting there for a year now

dude what planet do you live on? flea markets are the absolute worst as far as high prices go. they basically look up a game on ebay, click "sort by highest price first", DOUBLE that price, and then make that the price for the game

Depends on the vendor. I got a a Suikoden II for $12 a couple years ago at a flea market.

My flea market vendor will have anything with Mario marked high but then I found from the same guy Shining Force 1 and 2 for Genesis for $4 each and Intelligent Cube for PS1 for $6.

There are three vendors at my flea market. One I only buy guides and stuff from, because they have outrageous prices on games, the second has moderate prices and CIB games, and the third, my favorite, has fair prices on everything. So flea markets don't have to have crazy prices, you just have to know where to look.

Picked up a few things today:
Time Crisis (PS) - $1
Bushido Blade - $3
Star Wars Masters of the Eras Kasi - $1
Galerians (no maual) - $4

Swung by my favorite flea market and found a few things. I passed on alot of sports games. One guy wanted ebay prices for all his loot and the sun was beating so I got out of there fast.

NES Advantage Controller - $2
Bust-A-Move (SNES) - $3
Total Carnage (SNES) - $3
Streets of Rage (GENNY) - $3
Sonic & Knuckles (GENNY) - $3

all cart only, good condition. Just have to clean the contacts up a bit. Not to bad a day I guess. I looked up Bust-A-Move on ebay and vgpc and it's worth about $16. I'm down with that :applause:

I stopped by the flea market today before I have to go to work and today was a good day.

First vendor I saw was selling a bunch of different electronics and games. He had a lot of crap nes/n64 games and ps1 sports. I saw Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Banjo Kazooie. He wanted $8, I offered $6 and it was accepted.

-Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (Complete)
-Banjo Kazooie (Cart)
-$6 for both

Second venodr I saw had clothes, toys, etc. I saw a box of genesis games. Looked inside and saw a bunch of sports titles. Did manage to find Decap Attack boxed. Price was $3, I accepted.

-Decap Attack (Boxed)
-$3

Third vendor I saw had a box of NES titles and I looked through it. Nothing too spectacular. I picked up Tiny Toons Adventures and Whomp Em for $3. For some reason I thought Whomp Em was worth more but I was wrong

-Tiny Toons (Cart Only)
-Whomp Em (Cart Only)
-$3 for both

The last vendor I went to had my greatest find in the wild. EVER. I saw a bunch of NES/SNES/GEN/N64 Games in a glass case. All Mario, Sonic, Donkey Kong, Kirby, etc marked at $20-$30 each. I was about to walk away when I saw a few other carts to the side. I found Final Fantasy III (aka VI) and.... OGRE BATTLE: THE MARCH OF THE BLACK QUEEN!!! I asked how much. She said 2 for $15. I gladly paid and walked away with a smile on my face.

-Final Fantasy III
-Ogre Battle: The march of the Black Queen
-Both for $15

Just when I thought my day couldn't be better, as I was leaving I walked by a trash can and did a double take. I went back and saw a Genesis game on top. It was Sonic 2. I thought cool, free game (even though it's common and I have it). Then I saw more a little further down. PGA European Tour, Mortal Kombat II, Dungeons & Dragons, and Streets of Rage 2. There was also 2 controllers in there. A SN Propad for the SNES and a SN Propad 2 for the Genesis. All of this was in the trash.

WHY WOULD THEY TRASH THESE?!??!?!

-Sonic 2 (cart)
-PGA European Tour (cart)
-Mortal Kombat II (cart)
-Streets of rage 2 (cart)
-Dungeons & Dragons (cart)
-SN Propad for SNES
-SN propad 2 for GEN
-FREE

Thanks for reading!

3DO 1st Party Controller
Genesis 2 With AC Adaptor
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Rage Against The Machine - The Battle of Los Angeles
Switched - Subject To Change
Systematic - Somewhere In Between

$8

Everything was a $1 each. Video game stuff from a seller that's never sold at this flea market before and all of the CDs from a regular seller, this is the first time I've ever seen anything 3DO in the wild in ages around me. Passed on a Power Pad that I really didn't need for $3, 2 Playstations that were cheap (2ish) but missing parts and the one guy that had one of the Playstations mentioned selling something already that sounded like it was probably 4 SNES games.

Found some imported N64 Japanese carts.

No, really.

One of them looks like Puyo Pop Sun 64, the other has some baby Yoshis on it. Assuming it's Yoshi's Island. Can't even begin to make out what these other ones are.
dude what planet do you live on? flea markets are the absolute worst as far as high prices go. they basically look up a game on ebay, click "sort by highest price first", DOUBLE that price, and then make that the price for the game
I think it depends on the flea market, around here there are usualy only one day only flea markets, some people come from around town and set up a booth for a day, these people just want to cash out and i get good deals, the other group is people that jsut drive from flea market to flea market and their prices are outrageous and they usualy have the same box of rain stained 2600 carts marked 9.99 apiece....but once in a while you get a good deal from these guys....like my $4 copy of Mario RPG.

Picked up a few sentimental titles and one I was curious about today.

N64

Body Harvest - I've never really heard anyone else say they liked it but for some reason I remember loving it.

Perfect Dark - Loved playing multiplayer with a friend of mine.(Though Goldeneye is still what I really remember)

NES

Dragon Warrior - My first RPG.

Genesis

Star Control - Hadn't really heard of it and was curious.

All for 20 bucks so not the best deal but alright.

Sega Genesis 2 With Arcade Controller & Hook Ups, Book, Jewel Master Manual & 23 Games - $10

Games

Alex Kidd In The Enchanted Castle (Cart)
Battletoads (Cart)
Beavis & Butt-Head (Boxed)
Bram Stoker's Dracula (Cart)
Castlevania Bloodlines (Cart)
Clue (Complete)
Columns (Boxed, Mega Drive)
Fatal Fury (Cart)
Ghouls'N Ghosts (Cart)
Light Crusader (Complete)
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (Complete)
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure (Cart)
Shadow of The Beast II (Complete)
Sonic Classics (Cart)
Sorcerer's Kingdom (Complete But In A Rental Case)
Shining Force II (Complete)
Starflight (Cart)
Strider (Cart)
Sword of Vermilion (Cart)
Taz In Escape From Mars (Complete)
WWF Royal Rumble (Complete)
Zombies Ate My Neighbors (Complete)

IAP was $10, I asked about any other games and unfornately this guy also had an NES with a "crate full of games" that I missed which could have been really nice judging by the Genesis bundle I got. This was about 9 this morning when I saw this so I was definately lucky to get it, I'm guessing the NES stuff was long gone by this time so I don't think it would have been around if I was out the door say a half hour eariler. This is the first time I've found anything Phantasy Star in the wild around here and I was surprised not to see a single sports game in the mix!

Donkey Kong Country 3
Super Street Fighter II
Tetris Attack
Yoshi's Safari

$10

Regular seller that sells every week at this flea, first time having some older stuff like this so far this year. Was $5 each but took an offer of $2.50 per a game.

Legend of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse
Sonic The Hedgehog
Taz In Escape From Mars

$1

Asked about the games and said a buck for all three so I didn't argue.

saturnbuy.jpg

They call the place a "flea market", even though it's technically a big indoor yard sale. It's run by one family, flea markets are usually multiple seller affairs.

$5 for all that, everything worked when I got it home.

Had a pretty good day at the flea market.
However, I'm never buying NES games there unless I know for sure what the value is.
Third time I've bought a NES game thinking it was worth something, only to find out it's worth $5-10 bucks...:bomb:

Pics
P1020514.jpg

SNES mini with cords and controller $35
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes $10
Super Metroid and Secret of Mana $15
Megaman 6 $15
God Hand $5

I think I spent a little too much on the SNES, but all the other vendors wanted like $40 for a regular one. Plus I wanted an SNES.
Everything was in ok condition. Just needs a little cleaning.
The SNES games have marker writing on the back, but thankfully it's just the name ORO, so it won't take long to get off.

I live right next to a GIANT flea market, its like 5 stories high, I rarely go there. I know they have atleast one video game vendor whose prices are fair I guess. But I havent seen any game vendors there. However I havent been there in like 2 years, even though I live right next to it, Tri County Flea Market is anyone is wondering.

Mortal Kombat (SNES)
NBA All-Star Challenge (SNES)
NBA Jam (SNES)

$4

$2 a piece said he'd do $5 for all 3 and I said I was think a buck each and asked the guy if he'd met me in the middle which he did. Boring find and I shouldn't have bothered but I at least wanted to get something today.

Passed on boxed Hyperscan stuff, $2 system & 2 games at a buck each. Some Fire Emblem cartoon new on VHS was a buck and the lady wouldn't do .50 or even meet me in the middle at .75. Last but not least I passed on a Sega CD 2 boxed that when I opened looked as if it was new and never used. $25 I offered $10 and they didn't want to budge.

So i went to a flea market the other day and i took a look inside a big black garbage bag. What i found was a crapload of genesis stuff. The guy was asking 10 dollars for it so i definately took it, despite many of the labels being torn or worn they all work perfectly.
The Stuff in the bag was

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 x2 IN BOX
WWF Royal Rumble IN BOX
Shaq Fu IN BOX
Robocop Versus Terminator
X Men
X Men 2
Mortal Kombat
Super Wrestlemania
Altered Beast (The cartrige looks like it was run over by a truck its chipped cracked and destroyed but still works)
AAAAAAh Real Monsters
Sonic the Hedgehog
Cyborg Justice
Triple PLay 96
Streets of Rage 2
RBI Baseball 4
Tom and Jerry
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
NHL All Star Hockey 95
Tiny Toon Adventures Busters Hidden Treasure
Taz Mania
Samurai Shouwdown
Golden Axe
NBA Jam
Evander HolyFields Boxing
Judge Dredd
Genesis 6 button controller x3

Well, tomorrow's gonna be my first time going to a flea market in years, so my first time looking for video game items. Any advice?

Pass up everything until you look around, feel free to haggle. Always ask for the illegal fireworks below the table.

Well, I ended up giving it a shot. I found one guy who had a huge video games booth. Problem is, he knew what he was talking about. NES for $50, SNES for $40, N64 for $50, Atari 2600 for $40. :/

Ended up picking up Virtua Tennis (DCast) for $5. Probably won't go there again.

No one who knows what they're talking about would ask $50 for an N64.

I think me meant knows as in selling for more then seller would make on eBay ;)

I went to the one flea market I only go to 1-3 times a year last week and I saw the same thing. Best selection of used SNES games I've ever seen around here but Chono Trigger was $60 some other RPGs for $40-60 and some of the stuff was WAY too much Final Fantasy Mystic Quest - $25, Tetris 2 (SNES) $20! I think they even had Secret of Evermore marked at $40 and all of these games were cart only.

Interesting day at the flea market, if I do say so myself.

:360: Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter $2.50
:ps2: Silent Hill Origins $5
:ps2: Final Fantasy XII steelbook CE $15 (more than I wanted to pay, but it's hard to say no to a pouting woman)
:xbox: Battlestar Galactica
:xbox: Midtown Madness 3

I suppose my real find though, were 9 random Famicom games. I have no idea what they are, because they're all in Japanese. A few of them say (c) 1986 Capcom, and one or two are Bandai. One of them is a baseball game (says on the front "Baseball"), another says Geimos. As I write this, I realize that five of them have serial codes in the corner.. Let's see what I can match up:

Google (more specifically, http://www.famicomworld.com/Family_Computer/HVC_Product_Codes.htm) tells me that..

HVC-BA: Baseball
HVC-GF: Golf
CAP-SS: Son Son
HSP-02: Geimos

The others I can't identify. Three are by Bandai. One's a yellow cart, one's green, and one's red. Absolutely wild, because this is the second time I've been up there and found imports. Three weeks ago, I found some import 64 games. Intense.

went to a small indoor flea market last weekend. it kinda sucked because the only people selling video games were real vendors so theyre prices were really high. I asked the woman at one store how much the atari 2600 was and she was telling me its $95 because the controllers are in bad condition and it has trouble starting up sometimes. But from another guy i ended up getting
Chaken-Genesis-In box-$4.00
NES Open-NES-Complete in Box-$4.00
Would you pay $95 for a barely functional atari??

Picked up a few Genesis games today. These days, it seems like I'm always picking up Genesis games. Maybe it's to make up for the fact that I never had one as a kid.

X-Men 2
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure
King of the Monsters 2

Lady was tryin to pass off movies/games with the data scratched off, demo disc, or bonus disc as games at the flea market today wanted $2 each for em too. All disc only.

Well, mixed in that crap, you never know if you'll find a rare copy of X.
