How many copies of a game can I trade in?
​You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.
 
What do I need to trade in an older console?
The console, power cable, av cable, and controller. Sometimes they don't care about USB charge cable but ymmv. 3DS XL trade would be console, charger, and stylus. Some have reported being charged a refurb fee for missing the stylus, but again ymmv (answer stolen from anarchyburger)

Does the Pro Membership B2G1 coupon apply to only games, or accessories as well?
The coupon applies to both games and accessories, per the wording on the coupon.
 
I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).
 
 
TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free. Typically refers to the coupon you receive when becoming Pro.
GCU/BB: Gamer’s Club Unlocked, Best Buy
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

I exit the chat and try again and it tells me they're disabling chat due to high volume and to call their number.

I'm starting to get really irritated - is there anything I can do about this?
Calling them is really the only option- their chat feature never works for me and email CS is non-existent. I heard the call centers are much better now.

 
About 160 trade value drops today. About 200 price drops as well.
Yep, looks like the "bump" lasted until Tues... so hopefully a +5 promo soon to prepare for Black Friday inventory!

From what I remember reading, I don't think consoles count towards the $300/$30 deal.
The fine print is describing what you can / can't use the $30 coupon on - it doesn't work on new consoles, but does on pre-owned.

I tried contacting them via web chat and once I finally got connected to someone the person never responded... I exit the chat and try again and it tells me they're disabling chat due to high volume and to call their number.

Yea, chat is totally useless. Email hasn't seemed to work that well for me and phone looks to have been mostly outsourced and everyhing needing escalation + 3 business days. :oldman:

 
Anyone having issues with the app not showing your points? Says I have 0 points even though I don't. It's made it hard to redeem rewards (I have to wait for a verification code via desktop and mobile sites and they sometimes don't arrive). And has anyone recently redeemed a $50 online-only cert? It doesn't show up on the app but it does on the website but it won't redeem (was able to get one a few weeks ago).

 
Is there a limit on how many active offers can be on your account at one time? Is that why my $30 for spending $300 disappeared and I don't have my $10 for Watch Dogs pickup (but do have the $10 for full pre-payment?) Last week I redeemed $50 and $25 off loyalty coupons for the Series X release on Tuesday and I have my monthly $5 off, so I have 4 active offers currently.

I tried to return an online order in a local store (heavily scratched PO game disc) and the guy had a really hard time trying to pull up my PRO account, and eventually he still did not find it and just manually put in the return amount. Has this happened to anybody?

Not for returns, but I feel like there are times where it seems like the employee is manually putting in information (i.e. they're typing out quite a bit of info). Maybe they're just putting a note on our accounts lol.

My Hyrule Warriors on Switch came in today. Complete with box. I figured there was a good chance being a newer console and I don't see many switch titles without the case.

Sorry to turn this into the support thread, but has anyone had an issue redeeming a 12 month Xbox Live Gold code? I've got 3 different cards from different GameStops, and I'll get all the way to the "turn on recurring billing" portion, then it tells me the code has already been redeemed. Couldn't find anything on Google, or the Xbox/GameStop subreddits. I'm assuming it's a Microsoft issue since initially it says the code is good.

EDIT - Nevermind, it IS a Microsoft issue. Support can see the code was redeemed by my account, it's just an issue they're having right now.

Seems like that’s everyone right now; they probably need to get it sorted out.

Was trying to place an order earlier to take advantage of the B3G1 funko pops but since 3 are preorders they want to charge me $6 EACH for premium shipping even though it should qualify for free. What’s this nonsense about; any way around their garbage checkout system?

I got that coupon, but too bad it negates any other promo you might have--I had a new game together with a used game that totaled ~$80 and the $10 coupon overwrote the 30% discount promo to increase the total to ~$85.

Still nothing on the other $10 Watch Dogs game coin, but the $30 for spending $300 came super fast! In my account this morning, crossed over the threshold two days ago.

I didn't call in. An order I placed the week of Pro Day didn't ship for weeks, it finally shipped out last week, I got the $10-off-$75 email this morning.

Stopped by and attempted to trade some games yesterday. Found out the 30% bonus still applies to Demons Souls. Threw $5 down and got the bump.

My store just got a new manager after the previous one being there for nearly 10 years. The previous manager was awesome, but the new one seems to be a little shady. I went to pick up my Pikman preorder and overheard him tell a customer that they required $15 down to preorder games. Is he just taking advantage of the guy or is that a new rule?

It's supposed to be $5 for standard games and slightly more for pricier things like Collector's Editions or consoles, but I wouldn't be surprised if GS raised the minimum to go with the new $70 MSRP for next-gen.

got my email that my series x is being packed...estimated delivery date of Nov 9th...that'd be pretty cool

anyone know if the $200 trades for One X and PS4 Pro are still working for the animal crossing switch (or that oculus thing)? i was originally going to return/rebuy my series x so i could trade in and use certificates but if i get it monday night i'd want to play it right away but i was told for the return/rebuy it'd need to be unopened...and if i get it tuesday i'd have to go contend with whatever the launch day crowds are doing...if i could trade them in this weekend towards a switch (can you trade 2 systems towards 1 thing?) then i could return it a few days later before i get the series x

this wouldn't allow me to use certificates but it would get me the $400 in credit (i paid for the system using trade credit online so this would go back on that same card)...and i could just use the certificates on games or accessories

I the best update for the app happened this morning for me, they removed all my old stuff from active offers. Got tired of seeing 11 active offers when I only had 4 gamecoin/rewards.
