How many copies of a game can I trade in?
​You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.
 
What do I need to trade in an older console?
The console, power cable, av cable, and controller. Sometimes they don't care about USB charge cable but ymmv. 3DS XL trade would be console, charger, and stylus. Some have reported being charged a refurb fee for missing the stylus, but again ymmv (answer stolen from anarchyburger)

Does the Pro Membership B2G1 coupon apply to only games, or accessories as well?
The coupon applies to both games and accessories, per the wording on the coupon.
 
I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).
 
 
TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free. Typically refers to the coupon you receive when becoming Pro.
GCU/BB: Gamer’s Club Unlocked, Best Buy
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

I can start adding monthly SKU conversions here if people would like. Didn't know if that's something people would be interested in.

GameStop will occasionally take games that are new and sealed and reassign them the SKU for a used copy, so you can get a brand new copy at the cheaper used price

Last time I used a coupon on a preowned item that I ended up returning, they gave me the store credit for the amount I paid for the game and the remainder ($25 coupon) paid in cash. Maybe I just got lucky.


This time around,I had a bunch of trades for my first set of 3 switches. This included more than 6 games, controllers, and a purchase of xbox card. The 6 games triggered the extra 30% but the xbox card didn't trigger the 40% fortnite bonus on games AND accessories. After checking the receipt and explaining to the manager, he gave me my additional trade 'credit' in cash.

Just pays to be patient and calm and they're usually more than willing to work with you.

If you have the time I'm sure that would be greatly appreciated. I've gotten a lot of newly converted stuff still sealed over the years from conversions I've been able to catch and it's pretty nice. Last thing I've noticed to disappear from the website is the HZD collectors edition, so I assume that's a recent conversion (not that there are any left anywhere).
 
Hey, did anyone the Hylian Shield 2DS XL, and if so, how do you like it? Also, does it show at most stores in everyone's areas of the country? I want to get one, but probably won't have the funds for a month or so, and I just want to gauge demand. It seems like all stores in my area have units, so unless some mad rush happens for some reason, I should be OK.

 
I've noticed Gamestop's site being more aggressive against bots lately, least in my querying of their site there seems to be a much tighter limit on how often you can make requests, also they seem to be attempting to implement some protection against scraping the in-store data

From my shipping label I received, here is the return address. They had it in all caps.

"Return to GameStop.com

To return or exchange an item to GameStop.com, include the packing list, identify the reason for the return, and send it to the address on the return shipping label."

Didn't even have the money to legitimately participate in this sale.  If only I had $700 and known about this glitch.  I'd probably finally have an Xbox One and/or a PS4.  :whistle2:(

Do they still give out UPS labels if you call them? I've returned maybe 30 packages over the last few years and never paid for shipping. I haven't bought anything online in the past year or so.

By purposely posting it everywhere & notifying GS of the glitch so everyone else's open/processing orders are cancelled & then claim "None of my orders got cancelled :whee: I'm one of the few people that got all my orders shipped coz I'm so amazingly awesome, adore me NOW"

I bought some games online from the B2G1 sale, and one of them hasn't even shipped yet.  It will have been more then seven days before it even gets here.  Are they going to hassle me when I try to return it (because it's got no box perhaps)?
