How many copies of a game can I trade in?
​You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.
 
What do I need to trade in an older console?
The console, power cable, av cable, and controller. Sometimes they don't care about USB charge cable but ymmv. 3DS XL trade would be console, charger, and stylus. Some have reported being charged a refurb fee for missing the stylus, but again ymmv (answer stolen from anarchyburger)
 
FAQ will be entered when those questions get asked frequently.
 
Does the Pro Membership B2G1 coupon apply to only games, or accessories as well?
The coupon applies to both games and accessories, per the wording on the coupon.
 
I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).
 
 
TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free. Typically refers to the coupon you receive when becoming Pro.
GCU/BB: Gamer’s Club Unlocked, Best Buy
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

All the chatter on here might get the price changed. Nothing is guaranteed to last til Monday I’d say.

Monday is typically the last day of the stealth bump. Trade values will return to normal on Tuesday.
 
So if I were to exceed the $500 in cash trade ins during the day. I can still go on to $700-800 in cash, and will just be banned the next day?

I guess we'll see then. Gave in after not doing any trade ins for a while here and bought a bunch of copies. Potential profit too high to miss out on. I feel like a cowboy returning to being an outlaw one last time as the wild west slowly dies.

 
The TIV for the Division 2 is showing $17.50 now.

Edit: What's the limit on trading in a certain title? I don't want to get banned from Gamestop.

Wait a minute, I have 2 Gamestops near each other. How does the 30% work exactly? Is that towards a pre-order, trying to find that info on this thread.

Disney Lionking :switch: is great if you picked up a couple when it was $8 with GCU. It's looking like an amazing day for me tomorrow :D .

Wonder have all the values updated yet, jump force is on the list but have a $8 base -_-

Did you guys know that division 2 game trades for like alot? Im gonna get like a billion copies and flip them so I can have enough trade credit and then buy Gamestop as a whole and become its new CEO.

So just so I'm clear, you could trade 4 copies of the division for ps4 and 4 copies for xbone in a 30 day window and won't get trade banned?

Your math is wrong. After 30% TIV total is $22.75 ($17.50 plus $5.25.)

If anyone is on the fence about getting Animal Crossing, trade 3 copies of Division 2 towards the preorder (costs $12-15 at BB depending if you have GCU still). You’ll more than pay off the game and get $10 PUR cash for the preorder 👍🏼

Tl;dr $12-15 out of pocket (or BB credit) gets you Animal Crossing plus $10 credit at GS.

Since it's been forever since I bought anything in-store at Gamestop... the only extra bump promo going on right now is the 20/30% when putting your trade towards a particular pre-order title?  If you don't see anything you want, do you just pre-order something anyway and then cancel it later?  I'm looking to flip Div2 at a few stores but don't fancy driving around to them all again to cancel pre-orders, just to make en extra $3.50 a title.  Can my most local store see pre-orders at different locations, and cancel them?

 
Anyone else having trouble signing in to the GameStop app? Website works fine for me.

They can see preorders at other stores. I got flak from a manager last well saying that i had multiple preorders at different stores. Not really issue unless you get a JD that wants to investigate your account
 
good news, since everyone has asked over and over, gamestop did away with trade limits AND best buy did away with purchase limits, go crazy everyone so we dont have to read the same questions over and over next time there is a decent deal.

 
not all the games on the mwt030620 got bumped. god of war was $7 base yesterday and is still $7 base, ,meanwhile 7 days to die is not on there, amd on ps4 was 8 or 10 and is now $13.50

Yeah. For PS4 there is only one copy to be had around here. XBox seems to be more readily available. Put in an order for one on each console will trade it at lunchtime. Might grab a few XBox copies and trade them tonight or tomorrow at the two GS near home.

I only had one Division 2 copy near me last night, and this morning it's gone. Also have a Target that says "limited stock", which usually means they have it but have no idea where they put it lol. Glad to see everyone making out great on another deal though!

 
went to target and got the last 4 division 2's (2x XBOX One and 2x PS4) with my red card...then went to GS and traded one of each towards my Pokemon pickup today...kinda sad i "wasted" some division flips a few days ago lol

My store pickup shows ready. Will get it in about an hour. Tonight I might run to the Best Buy near my house and grab two copies for XBox and trade them. There are two GS near by.

Step 2: Trade in the set at Gamestop for cash without account for $28.

Step 3: Go back to Best Buy and buy 2 sets for $20 and have $6-7 left over.

Step 4: Trade in 1 set at Gamestop without account for $35 credit and the other set at another Gamestop for $28 cash.

Step 5: Repeat Step 3-4.
