Wow, how many of the optional bosses did you do? I did all of them save one, did all my mantra grids except 1, and I think I clocked in at under 40 hours.

In other news, thanks Mr Unoriginal for the Radiata Stories info... I had originally heard the game was very short, but I now see it can be pretty long if you strive for 100%.
 
Handy reference thread. I just started Beyond Good & Evil and was curious how long I could expect to spend on it. Looks like 10-15 hours.

About, um, none.
I spent a lot of time on the ship, because every time I would master a mantra, I would backtrack to the last terminal to get a new one, then move forward--in some cases the next terminal was like two rooms ahead, but of course I didn't know it until I got there.
Some of my time was 'idle' where i went into a menu to handle real life, but not a whole lot of it.

I don't recall exactly on Dead to Rights for PS2 but if I had to guess I would say it took me about 10 hours or so. Maybe a little more. It was kinda easy, but it was a fun time. I'd go back to it for some mindless action.

About 7-8 hours, hard mode (Xbox).
 
Might as well add in some stuff that I played through recently:

Metal Gear Acid 2: 8-10 hours
SMT: DDS 2: 25 hours
Tales of Eternia: 25-30 hours
SMT Nocturne: 35-60 hours. Yeah, huge range. Lower end of the spectrum if you're just running through the game. Upper end if you're going through all the optional stuff.
 
Thanks to the CC sale I've finished:

007 From Russia With Love - 6 Hours on 00 Agent difficulty. Unlocked all but one level.

Matrix Path of Neo - 9 - 11 hours at Normal difficulty without finding too many secret briefcases.

Culdcept I would say is 30 if you do everything. Of course it could vary depending on what cards you get and if you win every match the first time you do them since many at the end take really long.
 
Great thread, I'm glad it was bumped. I'll try to help out with the games I finished. The only one I remember off the top of my head is Kingdom Hearts at 35 hours without doing any side quests.

Is that with just doing every mission once? Or is this game shorter than the first? I'm near the end of the first one and I was thinking of getting second one soon, and I was just wondering is the second takes less time to beat.
 
The second game was shorter since the first game took me closer to 15 hours. This was just going through the missions once. That said, I did think that MGA 2 was a better game than the first so I would definitely get it if you liked MGA 1.

Uhm... well I finished FF VIII the other day with all the GFs in 28 hours.

Finished Xenosaga III in ~28 as well.
Finished Dead Rising in maybe 6-8 hours
Finished Ridge Racer 6 in 6-8 hours (lotta races there)

I really want to know how long Persona 2 would take to play through since I'm thinking about playing that next right after I finish Yakuza.
 
22 hours solo. 28 in co-op but I was playing with a very inexperienced gamer.

This is a rather useful thread. I tend to want to know what time of time commitment I need to make when starting up a game.

Only adds I can think of right now is Summon Night (GBA) at 11 hours to beat, not getting all the techniques.
 
Drill Dozer (GBA)8 hours probably, but I didn't get all the treasures or upgrades.
Lego Star Wars (GCN) Probably 5-6 hours just to beat the game, but I spent more time unlocking characters.
Otogi (XBOX)Probably 10 hours, I left the game on once and the game clock kept going, so I am guessing.
Gun 7-8 hours with all but the poker side missions complete
 
Maybe we should PM the OP and let him know to start updating this again as I think it's been a while.

Like others said - this CAN be a very useful tool if we get LOTS of information

Just finished Kingdom Hearts. Didn't finish the journal or anything, but completed all the worlds. Time at the end was around 38 hours.
 
Phantom Dust (Xbox) needs to be bumped up. I thought I had beaten it, but there are more missions afterward. The whole thing overall should be 20-30 hours, depending on your skill of course.


We Love Katamari (PS2) - 10-12 hrs, more if you want all the goodies

Okami, supposedly, is about 40 hours long.

Trauma Center - If you're somewhat decent at handling your stylus well, probably should take around 8 hours for the main game. the extra levels I havent tried in fear of throwing my ds out the window in frustration.
 
I don't get to update this thread that often due to lack of proficiency at completing games, but - Contact takes about 15 hours to get the main game completed. Lots more to unlock everything.

Thanks for the input.

Also - I just finished Golden Sun and I'm pretty sure my time was ~25 hours (think I missed 3 Djinni along the way, so it would take ~28 to get EVERYTHING I'd guess). This was w/o a guide and I play RPG's REALLY slow (I usually OVERLY level up) :)

FF12 also can apparently stretch to 70 hours (I'm about 20 hours in, and I don't even think I'm a third done)

Yeah. That game is way too long... especially when you find yourself getting busted by the cops over strange glitches and mishaps, throwing an hour or so of work down the fucking toilet.
