Well since I've gotten nothing better to listen to at work I downloaded Fight Week Round 2. God I love those fights and I never get bored hearing them over and over again. I wish they'd do that instead of the history specials.
 
Aww that sucks. If its true I wonder why .. drug/personal or differences? I'd guess the former. At this point though he might as well ride it out. Only a year to go.

Also, I demand they get Evil Dave and Eliot Offen back in the studio before the end of the show. They're my two favorite guests/whackpackers.
 
Breaking news on TMZ.com. Artie Lange was rushed to a NJ hospital for undisclosed reasons. Fan sites are saying that it might have been a suicide attempt. We do know that Artie hasn't been in rehab for the past month.

I listened to the first hour of the show. It took Hamptons Howie an hour to talk about it. He spent the first hour talking about the dumb office party, lunch with Jackie, blaming Bush for the Christmas terrorist, etc. A caller called in and asked Hamptons Howie to put the rumor to bed. Howie stated that the only thing he knew was what he read on the internet. That Artie's family wanted to keep it private and Howie was going to respect it.
 
It was the biggest insult to all of the fans. Howie is such a hypocrite it is not even funny. This is the same guy who has spent HOURS talking about Tiger Woods. I could have sworn that Tiger and his family came out and stated that they wanted people to respect their privacy. What does Howie do? He is going to have a Tiger Mistress promotion and the winner gets 100'000.
 
Howard's been a hypocrite for a long time, but I wish he would just say Artie isn't coming back.. I don't really care what happened, it's his business... but people are paying for a show and if a key member is gone for good, they should be informed. period.
 
Two of the top ten Google Trend searches for today are about Artie Lange but whats weird is that beating both of those searches is "Eric the Midgets Twitter".

Unrelated - I was bored last night and decided to do some math and came up with this: Assuming Howard gets all $500,000,000 to himself for his 5 year contract, he earns $33 a second on air or $1,984 a minute on air or $119,048 an hour on air or $595,238 per show.
 
I do not believe he gets all 500 million to himself. I am sure the show gets 100 million per year, he pays out the salaries, etc and keeps the rest. Lets also not forget that his agent gets a cut, taxes, etc. Plus the show also has commercials so who even knows how much more he is getting. But yes he makes more in an hour than most make in a year.
 
Maybe its because I know he's on medication and I'm imagining things but I really think JD is sounding confident when he speaks now and has a certain clarity to his thoughts that he lacked previously. Unfortunately he still gets tongue tied sometimes.

EDIT: Dr Drew again? Wasn't he just in the studio a month ago?

And I bet Howard must feel vindicated with the confirmation that Leno is losing the 10-11 show.

I'm pretty sure its been mentioned before that everyone else on the show has their own contracts.

And I was disgusted hearing the discussion of what Jason was eating .. during cocktail hour ... when most people eat crackers and smaller stuff. He's there eating a giant tub of mashed potatoes smothered in gravy, cheese, sour cream, and bacon? No wonder he's huge.

The mashed potatoe bar is now pretty popular at weddings and parties like this, so it didn't surprise me. this bat mitzpah (spelled wrong I'm sure) sounds almost like a wedding.

I'm so fascinated with Benji's "girlfriend".. she is such a weird person... first off, she totally was all over Ronnie in the party clips I saw... then I watched her on the world's dumbest person game, and once she gets naked, she literally rubs her clit like a pornstar every 30 seconds... it's very disturbing to be doing that right in front of a bunch of people, in that type of setting. Everyone at the party claimed she kept touching herself all night and I totally believe all of them. It's such a wild situation I can listen to it all the time.

I agree totally... but that dynamic of her being like that, and Benji's vortex or denial and delusion... it just totally captivates me. They really are perfect for each other because they are both fucked up in ways that seem to fit.
 
Oh sweet .. cause I was just listening to the 1/14 show and Howard was saying about possibly going to California "next week". So I thought since the week started w/ a holiday that they wouldnt be in.

Has Howard mentioned yet if he decided if he will or won't go to be a guest on Conan's show?

I hate Jay Leno as much as the next guy but I gotta defend him on two points that Howard/Robin have brought up on more than one occasion now:

They seriously seem to think (at least Robin does anyway) that it’s a possibility that Jay had a master plan where he would purposely do bad in the 10pm slot because he knew if he did he would get put back on the Tonight Show. That is just an insane idea that comes from the brain of mad person. Not even Jesse Ventura could come up with such a stupid conspiracy theory.

Howard keeps mentioning that Jay is such a shit head that he goes to this dude’s struggling comedy club on Sunday nights to test his monologue jokes for the week and then expects to be paid the “take” at the door which is about $2,000. First of all, if that’s the deal that Jay and the owner came up with then that’s what he’s owed. It’s not like the owner is just blindsided with this fact and Jay is robbing the place. And secondly, $2,000 is a small price to pay to be able to advertise that a major celebrity stand up comedian and host of one of the most legendary shows in TV history is a regular feature at your club. Hell Artie said he gets between $15,000 - $75,000 an appearance at these clubs and who even knows who he is other than Stern fans.
 
^ I think the door thing is shitty because Jay doesn't need 2 grand... that's 50 bucks to you and me, it's just a dick move. I don't think they even advertise that he's there at that time.

As for the "master plan" I don't know. I think he did think if he took the 10 pm show and that everything didn't work they would offer him the Tonight Show back. But did he TRY to make that happen? doubtful.

Everything else they said is spot on though... Jay cares about his 175 people having a job but put about 1,000 other out of work in the process going to 10pm and he says he "never even thought about that situation..." really?

NBC removes him from Tonight Show and he should have left NBC, period. He could have gotten out of his contract had he taken a hard stance. It would have made no sense for NBC to pay him around 18 million those 7 months to just not be on another network.

If another Network could grab Office, Parks and Rec and 30 Rock from NBC, I would never watch that piece of shit network ever again in my life. Check out EW's 50 worst TV blunders in history, most are NBC fucking up royally.
 
The half hour Howard spent lambasting Benji on the 2/2 show was the best thing I've heard in awhile. I laughed the entire time. It's about time someone put him in his place. :lol:
 
Howard is just jealous because he isn't getting anything in the bedroom with Yoko Sterno. Even when he does, he has to pay some serious bucks for it to happen.
