Oh OK. Did they show him getting back in the ring and everyone singing Final Countdown? I was at the show and was just wondering what got cut.

Oh. They cut right after the end of the match. They never showed the speech. They're probably saving it for the DVD since they want to make the PPV as much about wrestling as they can.

That makes sense. The Richards/Shingo match was the shit. Lots of close calls.

Yeah man that was great. Although Dragon/Doi was the better match, Richards/Shing was definitely more fun.

Kay. Time for bed but this PPV was better than anything TNA did all year round and almost better than most of the stuff WWE has done as well.

Crowd was ELECTRIC!

Buy the DVD. I know I will.

Yeah the crowd was great. Hot the entire night. I don't think there were more than a few hundred people there, maybe 200 tops? There wasn't a ton of people at the show but everyone was going pretty crazy the whole time.

Bought the TNA "Cross The Line" three pack tonight at Best Buy. $7 for three 2008 PPVs (Victory Road, Hard Justice, and something else).

Brak that Macho Man video is great. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Too bad there aren't many guys today that have the charisma that Macho had when he was around.

From Gabe Sapolsky's blog:

After several months of preparation EVOLVE is here. What is EVOLVE? We urge you to keep checking www.EVOLVEwrestling.com to watch this new promotion grow, develop and evolve before your eyes. All we'll say now in this blog is that the partnership of Sal Hamaoui, Davey Richards and myself is behind EVOLVE.

Looks like Jamie Noble might be retiring.
WWE is teasing that Jamie Noble will announce his retirement after his latest near-miss neck injury when Sheamus powerbombed him on the floor during last week's Raw.

WWE published a story with storyline-driven quotes attributed to Noble to enhance the retirement storyline and build up Sheamus's character.

"When Sheamus powerbombed me on the floor, he compressed my neck and shoulders real bad," Noble was quoted as saying. "Luckily, the doctors tell me I'm going to recover again. But I'm laying here thinkin' about how great my life is with my wife and my son. I'm thinkin', how many more times am I gonna be lucky enough to walk out of the hospital on my own? I'm thinkin' it might be time to hang up my tights and boots."

Noble previously suffered a neck injury in February when Mike Knox delivered a hard clothesline during a Raw match. WWE did not develop a storyline from the injury and Noble simply disappeared from TV for a while.
The WWE version is here.

Why are D-X the guest hosts every week, now?

Macho Man was definitely ahead of his time.

Of course Noble keeps getting hurt. They keep feeding him jobber-style to guys much bigger than him and treating him like a punk. The WWE doesn't deserve guys like Noble.
...How long has Sheamus been using the Razor's Edge? i just noticed it in this match.
Apparently this is the first time he's done it on tv.

From what I've read, and for what it's worth, Sheamus is a Triple H kiss-ass.

^^So does that mean we're going to see him using the Jacknife powerbomb, superkick, and pedigree in subsequent weeks?

What an awful show. Swagger-Bourne was the only thing the least bit good, Orton-Henry was easily Orton's worst singles match in a long time, and the "main event" build for Survivor Series is around TNA-level. They've done a better job building up Sheamus than the WWE TITLE MATCH FOR THE SURVIVOR SERIES. Thank God for ECW tonight. I can't wait to hear the reaction Regal gets when he comes out in England, and then (hopefully) wins the ECW Title with the help of, again hopefully, Danielson. If things go really well, then Regal will have Danielson just demolish Kozlov and Jackson, leading to them being released or shipped off to FCW so Regal and Danielson can rule ECW and then eventually go after the kinda meaningful tag belts.

I really doubt Danielson debuts tonight.

Danielson's going to debut as DJ Gabriel's tag team partner, Aristotle Farnsworth.

Jamie Noble fake retires. Wonder if that means he'll work behind the scenes in WWE or simply move on to another organization. I, for one, wouldn't mind seeing "Jamie Gibson" again in ROH. But WWE should further use him to put over Seamus by giving him a heartfelt retirement speech that ends with Seamus injuring him yet again.

Raw ratings were in the shithouse last night, down 10% from last week and over 29% from two weeks ago.

We need more DX skits to maintain viewer interest.

More Hornswoggle vs Chavo I say!
There also needs to be more skits with Cena calling people "poopy." With cowbell.
If he had just said "poopy", it wouldn't have been funny. Muthafucker spraypainted it on a limo. It was so absurd that I laughed, hard.

The best thing that Hornswaggle ever did was get thrown all over a cage by JBL.
You chose to watch ECW. You brought it on yourself.
It was either this or Hotel For Dogs. I chose the lesser of two evils.

That Christian/Regal match was great. As good as anything on ROH on HDNet and the best match Christian has had since his amazing back and forth match-ups with Jack Swagger.

ECW is all about the main events. The series of matches Christian vs. Ryder/Tatsu/Regal have been conducting blow Raw/Smackdown out of the water.

Not to mention that RAW follows the same pattern ever since they started the guest host thing (tho not like it has changed much ever) - guest host comes out announces big main event with same people always in it, squash match, santino in something, maybe another match, chavo gets beat up by host, hornswaggle shows up, dx, john cena. That's how it always plays out.

The Regal / Christian feud has been pretty good so far, leagues above anything else on WWE. I really hope they get a blow off match at the PPV.
