Yes, yet another indie bundle, but like the Humble Bundle, you can set your own price and donate to charity as well. The games only register on Steam, but that won't be a problem for most here. You get a key for each individual game, so you can gift whatever you do not personally want if you feel like it.

Happy Hour guidelines:

*Happy Hour happens at random times: sometimes as early as 4 days after the bundle going live, but most often during the second week of sales.

Happy Hour! Double Gifts! During Happy Hour time New buyers for every gift purchase get a 2nd bonus gift for free (2x1)! All gifts are doubled! Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT'! *If you have not purchased the current Indie Gala yet, you can buy two for one during happy hour

And if you are an early buyer the deal is EVEN BIGGER!

Yes! If you already bought the current indiegala bundle, you get 2 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 3 x 1 ) *If you have already purchased the bundle, but you did not purchase it in the first week, you can buy three for one

And if you bought it in the first week you get 3 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 4 x 1 ) *If you already purchased the current bundle and did so in the first week of the current bundle going live, you can buy four for one

Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT' ! if you want to take advantage of Happy Hour. You have to check this also if, after purchasing a bundle for yourself with your own email address, you want another additional bundle for you. If you don't, transactions amount will sum on your original email account and you can upgrade your purchase, obtaining more bonuses if you previously didn't unlock it, or more galapoints.

REMEMBER: (Gift purchases are not upgradable and don't contribute to upgrade your personal account for unlock new content.)
***For Happy Hour, you MUST use the same e-mail you used when buying your first bundle, and you MUST check the gift option below the payment method. You have to buy again during Happy Hour to receive gift copies.

CAG Group Buy Hosting FAQ

Q: I see all of these CAGs hosting group buys for people. What's that all about?
A: It's a way for CAGs to help each other get the best deal. One person will buy the bundle during the first week, then they will buy four gift copies at the highest tier during Happy Hour. This person is referred to as the host. They then try to sell these to participants for a fraction of the price of buying the "beat the average" bundle individually, plus some extra to distribute the cost of the initial bundle purchase in the first week. The host gains money back, and the participants get the full bundle for a fourth of the cost. Everyone wins.

Q: How do I host one?
A: To host a CAG group buy, you must first purchase the Indie Gala full BTA (beat the average) bundle in the first week (this has been changed since the previous bundles). This will allow you to purchase four additional bundles for the price of one during a Happy Hour, as stated in the Happy Hour post above. Now, it does matter how much you initially spend, as you must purchase the full bundle in order to purchase full bundle four-packs during Happy Hour. Then, once Happy Hour starts, you buy a gift copy for the current "beat the average" price, which will be listed on the Indie Gala page. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK "IS IT A GIFT" TO GET FOUR GIFT COPIES.

Q: It's asking me for multiple e-mail addresses. What do I do?
A: Just skip that part. The links to the gifts will be added to your account page (which is another reason why you must always use the same e-mail address when ordering from Indie Gala). Most hosts will send out the gift URLs to their participants in a PM.

Q: Is it hard to do?
A: No, it's very quick and easy. Just keep track of which gift URLs you have sent to which people, and you will be fine.

Is anybody actually hosting group buys? I have no interest at all in this bundle, but if nobody else steps up and hosts, I'll do it and sell all four gifts instead of keeping one for myself.

Come on people. Just think of all the gala points you could be racking up.

Indie Gala claimed 12 hours to go 5 hours ago on Twitter so (supposedly) 7-ish hours left on this one. The timer is showing more than that for me but their timers have always been a little funky since I believe they operate on everyone's differing local times.

If they stick to their deadline then I have to say this bundle was shockingly short for Indie Gala compared to their past offerings.

It's past midnight, and the countdown clock has ended, but it kinda looks like it's still possible to order. The "bundles sold" counter keeps creeping up and the "purchase bundle" button at the top is still there.

I hadn't downloaded everything from the last bundle yet, but I just did now. I have to say, I approve of the tits on Baron von Luxxury's album cover. ;) Breasts are generally enjoyable on all accounts, especially when studies show that staring at them for 30 minutes a day improves one's overall well-being.

And I didn't buy this one seeing as I don't have an Android phone, but I wouldn't mind having Turba if someone wants to trade for a key from a past IG bundle/spare Gish key from HIB/Half-Life 1 Steam gift.

From the Indie Gala facebook...

IG6 is gonna have a bunch of really exciting games.. at least 8 of them will be Steam redeemable...

No clue on when the thing drops but at least 8 Steam Redeemable games looks promising.

Unless they're repeats from previous bundles, like they've been known to do... :( We'll have to wait a week or two.

New Bundle is up, here's the games list (ALL on steam):
Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines
The Void
Commandos: Beyond the Call of Duty

The above average games (5.99) are:
Commandos 2: Men of Courage
Ion Assault
Air Conflicts: Secret Wars
Cargo The Quest for Gravity
Commandos 3: Destination Berlin

The only game I'm interested in here is Cargo, so if anyone gets a bundle and doesn't want this game, please pm me. If not, I'll probably just wait until happy hour.

The only game I'm interested in is...none of them. The Commandos bundle is $3 or so during the summer sale. :( I'll just wait for happy hour too, given that I own 5 out of the 8 titles already. Only increasing my Steam peen size with these...

Yeah this one is a big meh for me too. Already have Cargo and The Void. Don't really want the rest.

What's with them doing a couple of days between bundles now? Is that the new thing just bundles back to back now?

PS - Still no use for Galapoints.

The Void was previously in the Indie Royale Graduation Bundle.

The developers of The Void have an official torrent of bonus material, available here:
http://www.tension-game.com/index_en.php
Inside you will find almost everything of interest that was created during development:
 • The complete original soundtrack in four virtual disks contains all the tracks that made it into the game, all unreleased tracks that didn't make it into the game for some reason, poems and mantras and re-mastered tracks for the English edition of the game.
 • 6 trailers including the earliest gameplay trailer, 2 videos from KRI (Russian GDC) and a Game Music Video from Pathologic by Halfgild Wynac.
 • Almost all the artwork and concepts from the game, even in print quality! The Void poster anyone? ;o)
 • Know Russian? Then you'll find the three lectures on game design by Nikolay Dybowskiy read at KRI most interesting! As well as a video interview for the LKI magazine
The thing is massive, 4.17GB, due to the soundtrack being in FLAC. Note that the original name of the game is Tension, hence the name of official website and some of the bonus materials.

English subtitles for some of the Russian language videos have been created. You can download them below:
Subtitles for Interview.wmv
Subtitles for KRI_Part1.wmv and KRI_Part2.wmv

WOW, this is clearly the best bundle that they've ever had. Ion Assault is the only Meh game in the bunch. Unfortunately, I already own 5 of the 8, but I'm gonna jump in now for a buck so that I can take part in the inevitable Happy Hour later on. I welcome the chance to pick up Air Conflicts: Secret Wars & Cargo The Quest for Gravity for cheap.

I wasn't going to get this bundle till I saw air conflicts. I don't know what it is but I like WW2 air shooter type games. Even if it's shit, I paid $6 for 8 games so one of them has to be worth it .

I'm really only interested in The Void. I've never bought an Indie Gala, what is "happy hour"?

Or maybe if someone already has The Void and would like to sell me their code? Does Indie Gala even give separate codes for games?

happy hour is a special they do later in a bundle where you can get multiple copies for the price of one. The best way to do this is to have someone purchase the first day or two of the bundle, which allows them to get more gift copies. Us CAGs have been using this to share the cost of the bundle, and it generally brings the cost down to under a couple of bucks.

So far as keys go, each game has their own key, so if you really want only The Void, you could find someone to split a bundle with.
I'm really only interested in The Void. I've never bought an Indie Gala, what is "happy hour"?
We really, really, really need to create a new thread and close this one out so that we can have somebody update the first post. And in that first post, we need to have an explanation to this question so that we can point to the first post every time this question gets asked.

No offense to you jling84. It's just that this question get's asked a lot.

To answer your question, Happy Hour is a brief promo period where it is possible to get more than one copy of the bundle for the price of one (provided your purchase is made using the "gift" option). If you're buying for the first time during Happy Hour, and you select the "gift" option, when you buy one you get one additional copy free. If you have bought the bundle before, and you select gift, when you buy one you get two free. If you've bought before, and you bought in the first week, when you buy one you get 3 free.

So most people who buy in the first week can get 4 for the price of 1. We have taken to doing group buys over the past few bundles. One person buys a 4-pack and sells 3 copies to other CAGs for 1/4 the price of the bundle. So when people say that they're waiting for the Happy Hour, they mean that they're waiting for their chance to buy the bundle for 1/4 the cost.

Hmm poor timing on the bundle. The Commandos bundle just ran on Steam very recently. I'm missing:

- Cargo
- Air Conflicts
- The Void

$6 for those three isn't too tempting to me, unfortunately.

Ahhh thanks. I actually did a search for "Happy hour" in this thread and read the OP and couldn't find a real clear description. Thanks again!
Hmm poor timing on the bundle.
Yeah, this is great if you don't have Commandos, but the Commandos Bundle was like three bucks about a month ago, and The Void was in a recent Indie Royale.

Ion Assault, Air Conflicts, and Cargo look like they might be fun, but just aren't the sort of games to carry the price of the bundle.

I'll get in on a happy hour then. I have everything except for ion and air conflict so when I do get it I'll just give the rest of the keys away.

Sorry for all the questions, but if I join in on someone's Happy Hour will I get the pay more than the average games and the bonuses that get revealed later?
Sorry for all the questions, but if I join in on someone's Happy Hour will I get the pay more than the average games and the bonuses that get revealed later?
That's usually how it works. The person hosting the happy hour group buy makes sure that he pays enough to get all the Beat The Average content. Which means that all the gift copies that he gets will have the BTA stuff as well.

I just got an email about 30 minutes ago with this. Am I missing something? Website says $6.25. I mean, I know we're talking about $.26 here. Just surprised.

ScreenNewsLetter.jpg

If only greenmangaming would allow us to trade in Commandos 3 lol. I'll be hosting a happy hour group, sent a few people PMs if they'd like to be added.. but I'll let anyone know if there are any free spots (they'll probably all be full).

Kind of disappointing that The Void is in this. It was in an Indie Royale

EDIT: Group is full.

It's a "beat the average" price, which means that the price slowly rises as people bid above the average price to get the bonuses, gradually raising the average. For Indie Gala, they seem to adjust the price at certain points in time, instead of live updating of the average like on Humble Bundle.
