Who uses the word "turd" in a legitimate way?
That's because he couldn't say "ni**er" after making the curb stomp reference, so he picked something brown. CM Punk got in trouble for gay bashing, racism shouldn't surprise you.

I hope they build off of the insane pop Santino was getting last night. I haven't heard a crowd that hot in ages.

You're stretching like Dhalsim right now.

I don't think racism has anything to do with it, but it's a fair comparison to the level of overkill violence involved with beating a woman half your size.

Maybe it's a Paul Birchall/Super Dragon reference.

After watching that Flair/Steamboat video, I have a couple of thoughts:

1: The level of intensity in that match has not been seen in a long time. Between both the story told in the ring and the level of announcing, it really makes you notice what is missing in wrasslin these days.

2: Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, will ever be able to replace Jim Ross at that announce table. The only person that called it as well as he did was Gordon Solie. For the record, I am referring to the straight man side of the stick. You can not compare the likes of a Heenan and what he did to JR. However, I don't recall if they ever called matches together, but I do firmly believe a JR/Hennan combo would be mind numbingly golden.

3: How the mighty have fallen. Who did not want to be Ric Flair back in the day? You either loved him or hated him, but you know like hell, in the secret hidden part of your mind you wanted to be him. Nowadays, you would rather be the curtain jerker on the indy circuit, because lets be honest, the indy scene curtain jerker gets more respect.

4: Is it just me, or has Flair always had some kind of thing about either having his opponent rip of his clothes in the ring or doing it himself? I don't think a month goes by without him being at least half naked in front of the world by either his own doing or someone elses. WTF man.

JR and Heenan called WWF Wrestling Challenge together from Mania IX through the end of '93 once Gorillla retired. They also worked the Mania PPV and KOTR 1993.

For those interested, Amazon has dropped the price of the new Rock blu-ray to $16.99. Same price as the dvd version.

Not sure who they are pm'ing, although Best Buy's website has a picture of the blu-ray for the dvd version(until you click on it and then it shows the dvd cover).

May put it an order for it and the Clash of Champions blu-ray.

As for the video posted above of Flair/Steamboat, it just makes me long for the good 'ole days of wrasslin.

Maybe this whole Punk/Brown twitter fight will lead to Chris Brown being in Jericho's corner at 'Mania!!! That will put some seats in some assess!!!!!

/sarcasmoff

2nd chat of 3 this week. It's HERE as always. So go to it. I'm gonna go play PvZ until Raw comes on (I tell you because I know you all are SO interested in what I do.)

If there's a Slammy for "Feud With Most Metallica" I'm pretty sure HHH/Undertaker is the winner. We've had Nothing Else Matters, For Whom The Bell Tolls, The Thing That Should Not Be, and now The Memory Remains either used or mentioned for this shit.

"What!?" is one of the shittiest things to happen to wrestling.

After the pop that Santino got last night and the match he put on in the Chamber, he gets beat in less than a minute. Piss off, WWE.

Undersigned.

The fans - who really never completely bought Heel Austin - recognized the cue and it fell into a peepee-soaked heckhole. Didn't help that Austin didn't abort it when it was starting to get over. Now the crowd has got it into their heads that anytime there is an audible pause during a promo, they are obliged to yell it out. It has become the ultimate destroyer of promos.

I can't even fathom the classic promos that would be ruined if they had to deal with today's crowd. WWE will have to go back to having pre-recorded promos with Superstars standing in front of a bluescreen with a wacky static backdrop logo and slightly awkward zooming in and out.

...actually somebody should do that for laughs. I elect Santino by default.

Cena's promo on the Rock was *exactly* what he needed to do for a looooong time.

Honest, to the point, and accurate. No silly burns, minimal goofiness. Problem with it is twofold:

1) He just laid out the perfect case for Rock being the heel in the match. How can a self-respecting fan support The Rock after hearing Cena's promo? What did Cena say about The Rock that was inaccurate?

2) 24 hours removed from a 2-3 month feud with Kane in which Cena learned to "embrace the hate" or whatever, and we've already forgotten about it. It didn't happen, it doesn't exist. Meh.

ANnnd there goes wade on the IR even jericho asked if he was ok

nice to see Cena recycle the same exact shit he was saying about the rock for the last year more shockingly enough is that people thought it was a good promo. lmao

Just read that former wrestler Timothy Well passed away today. Steven Doll (Steven Dunn) passed away 2 years ago. Rest in Peace Well Dunn.

Timothy A. Smith, aka Timothy Well from the early '90s tag team Well Dunn, passed away today. The WWC's Facebook page announced the news, without disclosing the cause of death. He was 48 years old.

Kin wrestled as Well & Dunn as well as the Southern Rockers, and was part ot the Glamour Boys in WWC in Puerto Rico were he was incredibly over. He also teamed with his Well Dunn/Southern Rockers partner Steve Doll in the Pacific Northwest and USWA in the '90s. He retired in 2002 after suffering an injury while working in Puerto Rico.

Count me among those not impressed with Cena's promo. Same shit, different day. "The Rock isn't here." Yeah, we know. Rock has already addressed that, and the crowd still likes him better. Sucks to be you I guess.

The "what" thing was fucking annoying but I did get a small laugh out of what had to be a fat drunk guy relentlessly yelling shit at Undertaker ("RETIRE!!"). Undertaker honestly did seem a little rusty when he first walked out there and started talking, but he was fine once H showed up. The delivery of some of his lines was the closest he's been to the biker schtick in a while. ("Hey businessman," the coward line, line about Shawn, etc.). I actually like that song ok considering it's post-heyday Metallica, but it definitely wouldn't be my first choice for that feud.

We probably all knew this but Mick will probably take some heat for it anyway..

Yeah @jpworld , I'd love to be part of HIAC in some way..maybe as guest ref, or as commentator. Just an honor to be part of UT's last match.

Someone asked about that.

I'm only guessing that it will be The Undertaker's last match, @Str8EdgeSean . Believe me, I have NO inside info. But it would make sense.

The WWE Insider @WWEInsider
BREAKING NEWS: @WadeBarrett suffered an injury to his left arm during tonight's Battle Royal and was rushed to a nearby medical facility.

^ breaking news. Heh. Thats funny on a variety of levels.
Count me among those not impressed with Cena's promo.
cena can do no right, Undertaker can do no wrong and using Metallica is a great idea.

Shocking.

Whelp...heaven has another undercard tag team.

I agree with everything John Cena's been saying, I loved his promo with Eve and Metallica has sucked since And Justice For All.

I said it.

THQ also announced WWE WrestleFest is in development for additional platforms, including Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Android and PC, with a currently scheduled release in 2012.

Should be up now for east coasters. $2.99 for iPhone, $3.99 for iPad.

DLC pack 1, which is up now, is CM Punk, Triple H, Sheamus, Big Boss Man and Shawn Michaels. 30 wrestlers/legends are currently planned for DLC, as well as new arenas, including the classic Survivor Series arena.

Kind of weird choices for initial DLC.. but in a money whoring way, it makes a lot of sense.

Requires iOS 5.0, so those of you with older model iPhones and iPod touches are SOL.

Yeah, almost as shocking as snipping one part of a post and then making strangely inaccurate comments on the non-quoted part.

Here, lemme try messing with your clever "snarky response to a partial quote" concept...

Glad you liked it!

So Wade has a dislocated elbow and will be out for 8-12 weeks. Ouch. No WrestleMania or potential MITB win for him.

Wonder where he'll be when he returns. He was riding a wave of momentum and now this. Oh well, could've been much worse.

A number of WWE performers appeared giddy backstage over Cena's remarks as they legitimately feel that way over the actor/wrestler. One talent commented via text to PWInsider.com (with permission to be quoted under the condition of anonymity): "[The Rock] comes in to use WWE to get back the audience he lost doing Disney movies, which is fine but he's been back over a year and name one person he helped make a bigger star since then? No one.

"He's here for himself, he keeps to himself, and he keeps someone who's actually touring here all year from making a bigger payday at the bigger shows. It's all about making this the "biggest" Mania of all time. OK, then what do we do the rest of the year? Who's been made? You think he took ANY blame for Survivor [Series] not drawing? Of course not, but how do you feud with a guy on the Titantron? Cena nailed the guy dead on tonight.

"Say anything about HHH, Taker, etc. still being in the top spot but if they were needed to work the road, they would and they would still work their asses off as much as they needed to. Rock is out for Rock and the idea he's here to better anything but his own wallet is the biggest work of 2012."

Cena buries The Rock in what amounts to a shoot (pipe bomb!), and now Rock will be on Raw next week to respond. Problem with Cena running down The Rock and saying that he'll be gone after 'Mania is that it's probably true, and if it is, why should the fans care about the match? It doesn't do any good for Cena to talk about how Rock is just a movie star who used to be a wrestler because if he wins, congrats, he beat an actor. I hope Rock comes back with something along the lines of him being The Great One and Cena being just a shadow of what Rock was. Rock has to talk himself up as someone who gave all he had to wrestling and that he won't let some new punk ruin what he helped build.
