Necro may not be the most technical wrestler or the most charismatic and he definitely won't be winning any beauty contents anytime soon but what he lacks in skills, he makes up for in pure guts. Known for his brawler moveset and deathmatch prowess, Necro will go punch to punch with some of the best strikers in the game and is stupid brave enough to wander into a deathmatch barefoot.

Mine is better :whistle2:#

If somebody can tell me how to chop up AVI (Windows Movie Maker doesn't support it), I can also post Low Ki Vs Necro Butcher which is a fucking insane match.
I'll save mine for the next topic. No need to have an useless flame war over this. :)
Ah, it's no hard feelings anyways. Just kind of funny how we both posted a new topic at the same time and both chose to get with an "extreme" topic :)

Punk-MVP was excellent tonight, and I loved the finish, as it protected each man, and made the MitB case seem significant again (the promo where Punk reminded Edge that he could cash it in at any time, even at his wedding, helped as well).

Otherwise, this was just another SD show, although it was fun and unlike some recent ones, flew by instead of feeling like an endless show full of dull wrestling. Batista-Khali was fine, and I loved Mick's crack about DnD wanting a DeLorean so they could go back to 2006 when they won matches. I was hoping Cole would follow up with "I bet you'd like one so you could go back to 2000, when you were relevant", but sadly, he didn't do that.

Mick's line about Cole loving pointless trivia, then stating that he was making a clay pot with Batista, was fantastic, and made me wish that WWE actually made a skit like that for WWE.com. Mick's mockery of the creators of incredibly stupid and convoluted match stipulations was great as well, and he only stuck to burying an act that was breaking up tonight - a huge improvement from the norm.

Finlay and Hornswoggle being built up as challengers to Miz and Morrison for NoC is...different. I'm not sure if it's all that good or not, as it's a step down for the excellent MnM duo to face a comedy act, but the match should be great as long as Finlay is in for about...99.9% of it for his team.

Quotes -
(fans boo)Vickie - THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Good evening and welcome to SmackDown! I would like to welcome you to the official signing for the world heavyweight championship at NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS! Please allow me to introduce to you the challenger, THE ANIMAL, BATISTA! Welcome Batista, please, have a seat. I’m expecting one of the greatest world title matches ever, because you’re facing the greatest world champion ever, EDGE! He’s already signed the contract. Since I’m GM, it’s my turn to sign it, now… (fans chant you suck) EXCUSE ME, WE’RE IN THE MIDDLE OF BUSINESS! I am aware that your attorney reviewed the contract this morning, but before we went on the air, I added an amendment that you must win a match tonight to be confirmed as the number one contender.
Batista - AGAINST WHO?!
Vicke - THE GREAT KHALI!
Batista - Fine, I’ll be beat him, again, just like I’ve been world champion before, and like I’m gonna be again! The only thing uglier than the world champions is the woman he’s marrying!
Vickie - Batista , I’ve added a second amendment that states that if you lose to Khali, you will not only not be the number 1 contender, you will be BANISHED from the WWE just like the Undertaker! THANK YOU!
Foley - When will the loss of top superstars sstart to hurt SmackDown? We could start wishing for the third part of the Santino-Cousin Sal trilogy.
(after Finlay throws Hornswoggle into Miz)Foley - He’ll use any port of the ring, and Finlay will use any part of his son’s anatomy as well.
Foley - Morrison has a Prius and Miz has a Hummer - Morrison cares about the planet, and the only contribution Miz will make to it is when he leaves it.
Foley - The Mark Henry that entered the WWE 12 years ago is completely different than the one we see today. Then, he had all the power and force, but didn’t know how to use it in a functional way, now he does, and he’s vicious.
Foley - Notice last week that MVP was in the skybox without ladies, like he would’ve been before. He was more contemplative.
Cole - Why does he want to renegotiate his contract when he signed the most lucrative one ever 18 months ago?
Foley - Because he feels like he needs more money - he feels naked without his belt.
Cole - What’d you do for your birthday?
Foley - I looked at the card Michelle McCool sent me over and over again.
Cole - Punk couldn’t get up on top as fast as usual, perhaps due to the injured arm.
Foley - That’s a point I missed.
Cole - That doesn’t happen often. It won’t ever happen if I get drafted alongside J.R.
Foley - He’s sharp.
Chavo - Please welcome the man I will face at Night of Champions for the U.S. title, MATT HARDY!
Foley -Chavo’s making matches now?
Cole - Well, when you’re the best man of the world champion and the nephew of the GM, it has its perks.
Foley - Come now, there’s no nepotism here in WWE.
Foley - I’m really taken with Bam Neely sporting the latest in wife beater T-Shirts.
Foley - Usually, the stuff about Chuck making Chavo’s bike is useless trivia, but it might play a part in this.
Cole - The bike he’s making now is Chavo’s.
Foley - That fact is just as uninteresting the fourth time around. I hate to break it to you since you usually seem so happy about these things. I’m making a clay pot with Batista. We’ll put it in a kiln later.
Foley - I’ve seen Palumbo is a series of outstanding matches…um…he had that great one with Finlay last week in the Belfast Brawl..
Cole - What a month it could be for La Familia. The wedding between Edge and Vickie, Undertaker’s gone, Batista could be gone tonight, and Chavo could be U.S. champion after ONE NIGHT STAND!
Foley - Matt has a bond with our fans that is almost inexplicable.
Cole - Mick, you can’t win the money, you’re a WWE employee.
Foley - If that’s the case, why does Mike Adamle walk away with so much of Vince’s money each week?
Foley - Jesse is an enabler - obviously Festus has a psychological illness and he’s using the man for his own gains.
Cole - What the hell are you talking about!?
(after the bell rings and Festus goes loony)Cole - How do you call him an enabler? He’s trying to calm him down!
Foley - You know what’s sad? A few years ago, Edge would have welcomed facing Batista and the Undertaker to prove he’s the best. The world title’s supposed to symbolize the best, not the most opportunistic.
Foley - Ask me why Douce and Domino want a DeLorean.
Cole - Why would they want a DeLorean?..
Foley - So they could get in a time machine and go back to 2006 when they used to win matches.
Foley - GREAT SCOTT! As Doc Emmitt might’ve said.
Cole - I’m not even listening anymore.
Foley - I needed this kind of break, because when Khali and Batista enter the ring, the laughter will be over.
Cole - Deuce and Domino brawling! COULD THE CONSTANT LOSING HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT?
Foley - Week in and week out, we see Vickie come up with ridiculous stipulations, which begs the question - WHY DOES SHE HAVE A JOB!?
Cole - Because sometimes she comes up with a REALLY GOOD one!
Cole - Khali brought Batista to his knees before, and he’d love to do it again tonight!
Cole - Vickie could’ve added more stipulations to this match, Mick, she could’ve made it no DQ and then the whole cavalry would’ve come out.

Yeah its funny how we timed putting ours up at exactly the same time.
Who was the subject of Demoman's topic?
Raven vs Tommy Dreamer. I remember myke giving an suggestion once of having some fued topics so I decided to do one myself. Hopefully if everyone is fine with this I'd like to take the next topic after this one. Besides perhaps I can have better videos ready to use since all I had was one music video of the fued itself.

Today's AWA show has been tremendous - Ustinov stated that if you eat trash and sleep on the street, you can be AWA World champ, then Rickles did an interview burying Verne, the AWA Celebrity Corner, and the interviewer. Then Magnificent Mimi (from L.A.) came out to the Miami Vice them. Marvelous entertainment.

The Raven vs. Dreamer topic should come next. I remember that feud so well and it was so, so well done. I almost had to pinch myself at time in order to remember that they weren't actually trying to kill each other.

EDIT - Oh and anyone that hasn't seen it really, really needs to watch the Joe vs. Necro match in the OP. Some of the funniest commentary I've ever heard thanks to Eddie Kingston and CM Punk.

Anyone here ever play SvR on the PSP? My Target has 2007 on clearance now, and I was wondering if its worth the couple bucks to pick up.

Also, if anyone is looking for the Koch ROH dvds (or wwe ones), FYE is having a B2G1 sale on all dvds $16.99 and under on their website for all of june (promo code: B2G1DVDJUNE)

Best Buy's selling WWE Tagged Classics double packs of '03 shows for $13. I picked up the Royal Rumble/No Way Out bundle today since it was the only one they had in stock, but they also had a bunch of Backlash/Judgment Day sets as well, and I believe there's a No Mercy 2002/2003 set out there as well, which is an amazing buy at $13 given how great NM '02 is. Of course, the Rumble/NWO set is great for Benoit/Angle (which is listed on the paper box that encases the DVDs - a step up from WWE not listing Benoit's matches on re-released PPV DVDs).

Necro Butcher................. as a topic starter? You've got to be kidding me.

You should have just made a Snitsky or Cody Rhodes thread, it would have been 100 times better then brining Necro Butchers name out into the open.

Bad news for Orton

The severity of Randy Orton's broken collarbone is worse than originally thought. His return to the ring has been pushed back until at least October. The initial timetable for his return was just after SummerSlam.

 WWE is so boring without him.

Why's that?

He's a fantastic brawler and really entertaining to watch in a hardcore/deathmatch setting.

Long ass load times & stunted controls, otherwise it's the same as the console versions.

um.... did you not notice i just did a fucking spirit squad thread? i'd say butcher is a step in the right direction, whatever direction that may be.

It's quite depressing to see how much the WWE's roster has dwindled over the years. Since 2004, they've lost Rock, Austin, Goldberg, Angle, Lesnar, Booker T, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Christian, Scott Steiner, RVD, Hogan and Nash (if you want to count those two), as well as decent relatively new guys like Lashley, Muhammad Hassan and Chris Masters. Same applies to Trish, Lita, Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson.

Carlito trying to get fired,

At a press conference promoting the 7/2 Raw brand house in Santiago, Chile yesterday, Carlito took aim at Triple H and his marriage to Stephanie McMahon. Carlito spoke in Spanish, and there are two slightly different interpretations online from PWInsider.com and the Puerto Rican wrestling news site PRWrestling.com. Thanks to reader Nizzo, we were able to get a translation of what Carlito said according to the PRWrestling.com news post on the story.

When asked about Triple H's marriage, Carlito said (PWInsider.com): "I may get in trouble, but that's why I'm here. My opinion is that it was a smart move by [HHH]. I think that's why he's champion now and has been champion in the past, it's easier to him. We, the real wrestlers, don't depend on people in the business. We don't have that benefit. We have to deliver the maximum in the ring. Others are given championships in a plate of gold or platinum, I'm happy for him."

Same topic, but from PRWrestling.com: "Well I know I'll probably end up with problems but f--- it. It was a smart move on his part [to marry Stephanie McMahon]. That's why he's a champion now and has been for a couple of times. That makes your job a little easier, having people to help you backstage meanwhile us wrestlers break our asses off."

Carlito on Triple H never going overseas to promote WWE (PWInsider.com): "I don't see him coming to Chile or Paraguay, places like that. He's always comfortable."

Same topic (PRWrestling): "I've never seen Triple H making promos, traveling to Chile, Paraguay or any other place like that. He's always comfortable at home. That gives you an idea who's actually giving the 100% in this business."

He also talked about some of the fans not respecting John Cena (PRWrestling): "Well, some people might hate him but you people don't really know how much of a worker he is. He really loves his fans. I know you people are sick of him being feed even if you don't want to. But you have to respect the guy. He's always making promos worldwide, has little days off, spends time with fans, etc. As much as you hate him, you have to respect him."

During the press conference, Carlito also said that he has been discriminated against in WWE because of his Latin heritage, although he didn't specify anything. Carlito said his heritage makes things harder for him, but he doesn't regret being Latino.

Mr. Kennedy was also at the press conference, but remained in character.

That my most wanted wrestling DVD of this year. Mr. Perfect was one of my favorites when I was little despite being a cheating jerk. I think it was his entrance music.

Carlito talking about nepotism when his dad owns wrestling in Puerto Rico? Das not cool.

His point about The Game, The Cerebral Assassin, The King of Kings (how many nicknames, not to mention entrance themes, does this jackwod need?), HHH would carry more weight coming from somebody else. They aren't any less valid but when your dad is Carlos Colon it could cause some people to be more dismissive about it.
That's just...... Perfect! :D
Awesome, that better have every single Perfect promo on it.

Where he's a 11 time WWC Universal Heavyweight Champion

So, just saw a thing on Wrestlezone about how, apparently, they're moving Cena to Smackdown in the draft.

I *want* to believe it, but since this is WWE, I'll believe it when I see it. It would, sadly, mean Edge will pretty much be buried again, though.

Cena to the b-show? I really can't believe that but if it's true, that woud be the best news of the year.

unless trips is politicing his way around again i dont see it happening with everything unless they are giving big dave time off as well this summer, but even then cena is just a temp til taker comes back.
Then again they are moving to a new network... so thy may juggle a few stars around to help jump start the show.
You would think then that the WWE would hold off on moving anyone to Smackdown until the official move to MyNetworkTV. Why bother doing such an huge move as putting Cena on Smackdown while still on the network they are leaving right?

yeah, heres the thing cena has been on EVERY ppv since he returned to be victorious at the rumble. i'm not a fan of the guy, but having him on every ppv and having him be champion for over a year straight, i simply just cant see him being moved.

Nice-looking cover for the Hennig set - not the greatest ever, but an acceptable cover for him. Given that they've got two discs to work with, I expect this to have plenty of AWA stuff, including his hour-long match with Nick Bockwinkel, although given the length of that, perhaps they'll go with something else between the two that is shorter in length.

He doesn't ride his father's thunder, though; he's bottom-tier in WWE.
Carlito's just trying to get fired in subtle ways.

No way would he have the balls to shoot like that on TV.
Be awesome if he did though, I'd rather watch that than Vince trying to phone people, I don't think I can face raw at all this week.
