I'm currently having a conversation with someone about The Streak, and an interesting question arose: should Taker beat HHH in two weeks and then go on to next year's WM for the fill 20-0 record, who would you realistcally like to see him go up against as potential final match?
This is solely my opinion, but I think the person to beat Undertaker, should be a person who bettered his career and it should not be a repeat of a streak match.
Don't get me wrong, my facts could totally be wrong, but I think Undertaker won his first title from Hogan. Its arguable, but in my mind, that solidified Undertaker as a dominant force. The person to beat the Undertaker should be a person who made began his career, Hogan. Hogan likely can't wrestle any longer and Undertaker one year from now would possibly need someone to make him look good.
Another one of his memorable matches to me was with Mankind, but again, he's likely so beat up that he'll never wrestling again.
This kinda analysis could go for awhile, but what does Hogan and Mankind have in common that could be viable for Taker? The Rock. There's a full year of training Rock can have to get back in condition. The Rock sells like few others. The Rock has beaten Hogan cleanly at WM. The Rock has beaten Mankind. The Rock is one of the biggest stars ever produced by the WWE. The Rock is back and is steadily gaining popularity. The Rock is my choice based only on storyline (I don't know anything about if he's injured, I had stopped watching for too many years to know why he left in the first place) and timing to take on and end the Streak.
Not to mention, many of you, at least subconsciously, feels that Triple H doesn't deserve to end the Streak.
TL;DR (I don't blame you) = The Rock, that's who I'd pick to end the Streak next year. It needs to end, to be winnable if there is to be any significance to it IMO.
