Referees to Cavs:

That one call alone turned it into a 2 possession game.

So do they not coach defense in Utah.

This has happend throughout the entire series. The jazz can not stop the fast break.

What were the fans chanting at the end of the half? Sounded like "damn you suck" but I doubt that is what they are chanting.

By the van we make it official and take Paul pierce off of the star board this guy is the biggest shame on the team. Allen is just a great shooter so you don't look for him for anything but set shots kg is kg. But pierce is suppose to be the fire that keeps the team going and he has done nothing but struggle since this has started.

Take him off the board please.

I don't know what you've been watching... I've been happy with Pierce this series, he's had to guard LeBron James so of course his offense is going to struggle. He's doing the job defensively and then some. A more selfish offensive player wouldn't do that, but Pierce is doing what is best for the team. By the way, lets put away the myth that Paul Pierce can't play defense, right now. LeBron has only shot above 40% once this series.

Ray Allen is the real disappointment here, he's not even hitting open shots. He's being guarded by Wally friggin Szczerbiak.

They were chanting 'Referees Suck'

I disagree pierce is suppose to be the jazzmrs of us team. James rarely plays poorly for long stretches of time. Pierce needs to be able carry the load when others struggle and he hasn't at all.

Like I said Allen is the best set shooter in the game but that all he is. Kg should be playing a hell of a lot better but pierce being your slasher should be making plays for your team. They are really lucky they have rondo otherwise they would be nothing.

But how about we meet in the middle and say that boozer is the worst play off bust. This guy is missing everything from all over. He can't get anything going at all.

And right on cue boozer fouls out after missing another easy shot in the middle.

I had a lot of respect for the guy and now I have none. He has choked so badly is not even funny.

Wow, props to the Jazz. They could have tied it up at the end, or even win it (where was the defense?).

Just glad the Lakers are going to the Western Conference Finals.

Yea, the Lakers were playing horrible at the end but Ill take the win!
Every Laker fan including me was on the edge of there seat to see that lead go down to 3...

Congrads :D to the Lakers advancing to the Western Conference Finals.

Go Lakers!!!! :bouncy::bouncy::bouncy:

Tough game by the jazz. But they have no one but themselves to blame.

They didn't play ant defense at all in the first half. They had a lot of turn overs they were just silly. Travels charges doubles they shot themselves in the foot over and over. I think I heard that their big men were 11 for 30 in the paint. Horrid

Again boozer is the biggest bust so far in the play offs. He was such a non factor.

Now let's hope the hornets can beat the cheating ass spurs.

All I know is that Farmar better wake the fuck up for the WCF. He has been playing so bad in the playoffs, and I think we are going to really need him in the next round.

Jeez my heart was pounding at the end. I couldn't believe the Lakers allowed those wide open 3 point shots from the Jazz, plus the fact that the Jazz were sinking them all :bomb:

When Williams shot the 3 right at the end I thought it was going in and they were headed into overtime. I was relieved when the buzzer sounded and it was still 108-105 :whee:

Na-na-na-na, na-na-nana....hey hey hey GOODBYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ba-bye Utah!!!!! So you guys gave us an extra game. Big whoop.

Oh, Derron (sp) Williams is a great point guard, but he's more in the same vein as Mike Bibby if you ask me.

You must admit that Utah came back at the end, but they are really streaky. Once they get going with 3-pointers they're hard to stop.

I'm going to take this post as confirmation of what I said earlier, that the Jazz are the leagues biggest underachievers. Period. They have talent, but they do shit. Year in, year out. They have the most cry baby/worst fans in a stadium

I agree thoroughly with your assessment. Pierce has been pretty good, Allen's been playing crappily...and Lebron's either shown that he's currently quite overrated or just choked badly in the series.
What were the fans chanting at the end of the half? Sounded like "damn you suck" but I doubt that is what they are chanting.
I think it was Refs suck.
Pierce is driving to the net and getting murdered, no calls... He's still having a great game anyway though.
That's really good to see; also, good for Eddie House. I don't know why Doc replaced him with Cassell for so long in the playoffs. Same with Powe/Brown; I know they're vets, but come on, they're being outplayed.

I've never been more bored watching a game in my life, and yes I watched the Spurs/Pistons NBA Finals.

DQ both teams and just give it to Detroit. This is pathetic.

The announcers are right, if thats LeBron or a little guy thats a flagrant 1.

I'm sorry if great defense followed by a fast break (at least for the Celtics) bores you, but thats basketball.

They say the best players should take over big games... And thats exactly what Paul Pierce has done, he's by far the best player on the court today.

I don't think that's a flagrant, Wally went for the ball IMO, and it's just the way KG fell, if he could've saved his landing they wouldn't even question it.

I wouldn't call it really great defense, it's just the Cavs offense is god awful, it's let West bring ball up 1/2 court, pass to Bron, get Wally off screen, Wally catches, Wally passes to Bron, Bron forced to put up horrible shot.

I really use to like KG, but he's annoying the shit outta me, this whole 'I'm crazy' act is getting tired, it seems like it's just one big act, he's trying to hard to have that 'killer instinct' when IMO he doesn't have it.

Yep, I mentioned the same thing a few pages back.

Also, Pierce is finally taking over, like I said he should have a few pages back. I just don't know why it took game 7 of the series for it to happen.

The missed free throw by LeBron didn't seal the game, Delonte's miss did.

It looks like Doc Rivers finally figured out the guarding LeBron and LeBron's defense on Pierce was holding him back. It wasn't Pierce guarding LeBron for most of the game and LeBron did great. Similarly they kept using picks to get LeBron off Pierce so he could actually score.

Sure it worked out in the end for Boston but a close defensive series like this could have gone so many different ways with a few missed shots here or there.

Either the Cavaliers were a lot better in the playoffs than in the regular season or Boston is horribly overrated and won't go anywhere. Simple as that.

Props to both LeBron and Pierce playing phenomenal games.

LeBron scored half of Cleveland's points...ridiculous.

Delonte West played great as well, if he hit that 3 he would've had the same points as KG and Allen combined.

PJ Brown also stepped up as well.

If i'm Gatorade i'm calling Bron or Pierce and seeing if they can re-do the "League of Clutch" commercial, because KG is the anti-clutch.

Maybe someday the Browns will be as good as the Indians and Cavaliers, so they too can get knocked out of the playoffs by a Boston team.

Here's the sequence that sealed the game. 89-88 Celtics, 2:19 left. P.J. Brown makes a clutch jumpshot, 91-88, Cavs ball. Delonte misses a 3, resulting in the jumpball with Eddie House and Z, LeBron doesn't block out Pierce and allows him to get to the ball and call timeout, :58 left. Cavs make a stop, LeBron throws up an airball while double teamed.

PJ Brown saved KG, PJ Brown was taking the big time shots that KG will never take.

The big play was that Delonte miss.

The LeBron non-box out was just a mistake, he's young 23, he'll learn. Probably didn't think Pierce could push his way through Bron.

I didn't think they necessarily needed a 3 there. I agree on LeBron.

The Celtics won today largely because they dominated the boards, and KG was a big part of that. I have no complaints about KG's performance today, he was hitting tough shots. They'll need KG to score against Detroit though, I don't think they really have an answer for him.

I also would say Kobe Bryant takes over games when needed and he is the best Ive seen in the game yet.

Yeah, I now have to take back my Paul Perice statement. But since I was on a flight I didnt get to see the game at all.

I am going to have to watch it later to see what Perice did.

Sorry for the crappy post...I was in Florida on business and typing most of that from a blackberry.

Actually I think what screwed the Cavs was when Lebron went for a 3 instead of a layup when it was 88-89. They didn't need a 3, they could've went for a 2 and take a 1 point lead. They also missed out on 2 crucial rebounds. And yeah that was a huge mistake on Lebron's part, maybe he thought Pierce couldn't push his way thru being sandwiched between LJ and the ref.

Someone is bound to take a game in Boston and it might be the Pistons.

as long as the pistons can steal one in boston then they got the series since its nearly guaranteed that the celtics wont win on the road

After what 12 years in the league, you'd think somebody would teach KG a move other than a fade-away....

Going to be an exciting game tommorow. Cmon Hornets!

I want the Spurs to win but won't be devastated if they lose.
Maybe a loss will make them dump the older role players for some more youth.
I do not predict a blowout in Game 7 (hopefully).

If the Browns can't knock the Pats off, the Giants will.
I'm sure they will regardless of whether or not they repeat this year.

That said, GO SPURS GO! :applause:

I'm thinking Sheed draws the defensive assignment. Maybe get a few fouls on him early and hope for a meltdown. I think Sheeds sanity is the piston's Achilles heel.
