Another Wichita area CAG, didn't know they existed!
Actually Hutch. Which sucks because most of the stuff that comes up on CL is Wichita based. I don't always have free time to make it over there.

I got this yesterday for $40. Man I don't even think this kid even played any of these games. Most of them have not 1 scratch. FF7 was perfect.

I bought one copy of Conker's Bad Fur Day for only $10. Great find. I met up with the kid only in less than 10 miles right next to the high school I went to few years ago! =D
http://wichita.craigslist.org/tag/1059384104.html

Good deal or not? Went ahead and offered asking price for the lot. Told him I could pick up this weekend. I already own a black label of MGS, so this one will go on ebay to offset the cost.
I have a few original playstation games I found in a old box of junk. Games include the case and instrutions. Asking $5 a piece or $50 for everything. Cash only, must pick up.

Crash Bandicoot
Metal Gear Solid
Resident Evil
Grand Theft Auto
Final Fantasy VII
Twisted Metal
Nascar 99
Suikoden
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX
Syphon Filter
Tony Hawk Pro Skater
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2

God, I hope you didn't pay asking price for that lot. $50? If he was only selling it as a bundle for $50, then hell yeah it would still be a good deal. But the guy actually gave you the opportunity to cherry pick the good stuff and leave the crap.

You should have just taken a $20 bill over there, picked out Final Fantasy 7, Suikoden, Resident Evil, and Metal Gear Solid and saved yourself from paying $30 on the rest of the games, which are pure shit. The guy is offering to sell them individually at $5 a piece. Yeah, if he had even 8 or more quality games, or simply a huge pile of games in the bundle, then it wouldn't be too bad to just give him the $50 and pay about a buck a game for the crap games, which is what they're worth.

But basically, that GREAT deal could have been an AMAZING deal.

Hmmm, was that somewhere in SoCal? I could have sworn I saw that exact same list of games somewhere, maybe up in Thousand Oaks or near Ventura but thought "hell no am I driving that far..." Awesome score though...

No it was in Little Falls NJ. A good deal away from where I live. Was quite a journey for me, never been that far out.

my thought was make an offer for the whole lot, because I know others would probably only want the rare games. So, instead of just offereing him $20 for the good ones, go ahead and get the rest and he'd be more than likely willing to hold onto them until he could sell it all.

Now, after all that, I haven't heard a word from this person all day. I told him I could pick up today or tomorrow, and he won't return my messages. :whistle2:x. Maybe it was for the better.

I hate that. It's like people have a message limit or something. You send a person a message saying I can buy it now and everything. They say, ok tomorrow or w/e. Then you message them again the next day nothing. . . .

The other day someone was selling a DS lite and GB SP for $50 together. I messaged him saying I will buy. He said ok we will meet the next day near where he works.(I live close to there). So he asks for my number. I sent him the response with my number, and that was the last of it. No number back from him, no message, nothing. 3 days later I get a random message from him saying, sorry we sold it. :bomb::bomb:

$40.00?! Why can't I ever get a deal that good on CL!

Disc World, X-COM, FFVII, Suikoden, Tail of the Sun, and the Longbox RE will get you a ton on eBay. You're looking at more than $200.00 for those games alone.

I need to stop looking at this thread. It always manages to make me jealous.

That's why it's like Baldwin said in Glengary Glenross ABC - ALWAYS BE CLOSING!!!

You have to get THEIR number, THEIR location and get it done as soon as posisble. Not tomorrow, not this weekend, not 6 hours from now but RIGHT NOW!!!

BTW I just sold that Nintendo DS Phat I picked up the other night (paid $10) for $65. Kept the Pokemon Ruby that came with it though, LOL. Lady came here to my office with her nephew, gave me the cash I gave him the DS to try out and BAM! that was it...I mean how easy was that?

I see some of you guys got some awesome deals recently.

This one I got about 2-3 weeks ago.

N64 system w/ controllers
PS1 systems w/ controllers
Sega CD-X system w/ controllers

Pokemon Blue, Red, Gold, Silver, Yellow, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Mario Bros 3 (advance 4) Jazz Jackrabbit (I keep call it bucky o'hare) for gba, and Klonoa for GBA
Smash Bros, Mario Party 1, Hey you Pikachu

and a few other things I can't remember.

I went there originally because he was just selling the systems for 30 but when I got there he took me into his basement and showed me all this other stuff he dug out of some boxes and I picked out these games. I wish I had time to really take them in with someone else who knew games in case I missed some good ones.

I picked out all those ones and a few others I can't remember of the top of my head and offered him 60 for them all. He took it and was happy.

I just sold poke yellow, red, blue and silver because I had duplicates of them (and these were in better shape) for 40.

I think I could probably easily recover the rest of my purchase price using smash bros, mario party, the ps1, and maybe the 64 (mine has been acting funky recently).

The CD-X was my main goal in this transaction so now I need to somehow find a copy of Lunar for it!

Some guy posted two ads for N64 bundle($25) and GC bundle($30).

N64 bundle:

Nintendo 64 with 6 controllers and games. Works excellent. Mario Golf, james bond, mario baseball, mario tennis, and more games to name a few.

GC bundle :

Nintendo Game cube with 4 controllers. Works excellent, with mario cart, and mario baseball. and some other games I can't remember. Excellent condition.

I sent him a text right now to see what other games are included, but I think he'll tell me tomorrow. It's past midnight right now. But you guys think it's worth it for those two bundles? I'll probably offer $50 .. haha. Hopefully he didn't sell it yet..

If Magna Carta is the complete, collector's edition, it may be worth a bit.
Digital Devil Saga 2 complete can fetch a pretty penny, as well. I just bought a second copy myself for the sake of selling.

I'm assuming you meant to type DragonQuest 8, instead of 7, as 7 is on the PS1 and worth a decent penny if complete black label.

The games on your list are not worth much, YET. Assuming they are all complete and mint non-Greatest Hits, and cheap enough (i.e. under $5 a game), they're all definitely worth it for your personal collection and also for holding for the future.

What do you guys think of this:

Macbook Black Barely Used - $1250 (Walla Walla)

This is a 2.4 GHZ, 250GB, 2GB Ram Black Macbook. I've had it for 6 months. Not refurbished. It is still under factory warranty and I also bought 3 year extended warranty for it.
It has Microsoft office that comes with it, and a wireless mouse. Its a very powerful machine, I really need the money now. I paid $1600 for it. so your gain my loss.

Is that a decent price should I offer $900?

I've seen alot of overpriced mac laptops over here. People asking the same price you can get for a brand new one from the store.

wtf is walla walla?

-Ye

Do you guys think $15 is a good deal for an XBOX with all the necessary cables, and a DVD remote?
I can't seem to find one for cheaper than $30 here, and want to find a cheap one to play my non BC games.

eh seems alright....you know what they are still good for nowadays providing you have the proper equipment. (blankety blank!)

So i was searching my local CL and came across this:

SNK Neogeo Pocket Color with 14 games: $75

* Sonic Pocket Adventure
* Neo Turf Masters Golf
* Fatal Fury
* King of Fighters R2
* SNK vs. Capcom Match of the Millenium
* Gals Fighters
* Samurai Shodown 2
* The Last Blade 2
* Puzzle Link 2
* Puzzle Bobble Mini
* Pocket Tennis Color
* Dark Arms
* Pacman
* SNK vs Capcom Cardfighters Clash

I don't know much about this, but the games seem quality (no metal slug though). What do you guys think i should offer i don't want to lowball the guy!

Got the following 360 games all for $20:

-Elder Scrolls Oblivion
-Elder Scrolls Shivering Isles expansion
-Two Worlds
-Lost Odyssey
-Project Gotham Racing 3

Pretty good deal if you ask me, plus the girl that sold them to me was a real cutie.

Found a near-mint copy of :360: COD4 for $15. Sure, it sounds stupid since everyone has this game, but considering that it's still selling at MSRP I think I got a good deal.
Check this one out. Quite the collection. Haven't seen this many games in one place except a store.

This one is also in the Craigslist Stupidity thread...

I thought I was onto something, a guy with a PS1, controllers, and a memory card with 15 games for 20 bucks sounded pretty good. So I emailed him, said I would be interested dependent on the games (because it is fairly out of the way, it wasn't worth the gamble for me)

Anyway he emails me back and it was a lot of mostly junk games in partially complete condition or disc only. Several sports games etc. So I passed. It probably would've still been worth it because I could sell it at a garage sale around here individually and make maybe double that. Serious lack of video games in our garage sales...
found this on CL

Playstation Games ($3 each)
Final Fantasy 7 (x2) +guide (5$)
Metal Gear Solid

waiting for a responce*crosses fingers*:bouncy:
Wow good luck lol

currently waiting on a call back on a ff 7 greatest hits. Says used onc and is complete. 30 bucks. I don't want to play the game but if it is as described I am sure I can find someone on here interested.

That TV is going to be dead weight. You should tell 'im to keep it or donate it to Goodwill on your way home from picking up the lot. You'll get quite a bit for Street Fighter The Movie, and anywhere from $5 - $20 for the rest per piece. The Saturn will get you about $30

Go get it now, you'll miss out if you didn't offer yet.
Don't take this the wrong way, but you'd be an idiot not to pick that up at that price. And if you do, let me know, I WANT SCUD, dammit!
If he doesn't get the lot, there's a store in my area that has Scud (disc and manual only) for Saturn. If you let me know how much you'd be willing to pay for it, I'll pick it up if it is at or lower than the price you're willing to pay.

Whoo, boys (and girls?), I had a tasty score last night.

There was an ad posted yesterday with the title "broken DS Lite, $25" and located in Culver City, very close to both my office and my home. So I figure, what the hell, I'll vet the ad and give it a shot, especially since the ad just popped up.

So I call the number posted and see if they have it and what the problem appears to be. The lady tells me she has it, it belonged to her son and it just doesn't turn on. Neither the red light nor the green light go on, plugging in the charger does nothing, blah blah blah.

I tell her I'll give her $20 for it "since I like playing with electronics, and for $20 I'll give it a shot." She agrees, then proceeds to call me back and tell me she couldn't find it.:hot::bomb: Okay, she will still give it to me once she finds it. Then she calls me back again and tells me that her "wife" (???) took it with her to her work, and was planning on taking it part, blah blah blah, but she didn't take it apart and will bring it home that night.

So I get over to her place on the way home from the office, and hands me an onyx black (sweet, the color I was hoping for) DS Lite and the charger (it had its original stylus and the GBA slot cover) as I slip her a twenty. No box though, damn it. Tell her thanks, I will play around with it, blah blah blah.

I get it home and the thing is in excellent shape. No scratches or damage of any kind on either screen, nothing broken or cracked, just a perfect looking unit. I try turning it on, nothing. I try plugging it in with the charger, nothing. I try my own charger (I also have a black DS Lite), nothing. I take out the battery and replace it with my own unit's - bingo.

The thing turns on just fine. So I put the battery for the unit into my unit, sure enough it doesn't turn on. But then I plug in my unit for charging with the battery in it, and it turns on, begins to charge, etc.

So then, cluing in, I try to charge the other unit with my own battery still in it, and it doesn't light up. So the connection is bad. It doesn't matter which of the 2 chargers I use, so I check the unit's 5.2 V DC power input. Once I compare it to my own unit, I see the problem. It looks like the connection piece in there was bent so there was no connection.

I take a small screwdriver and fix it, and it charges just fine and turns on just fine. I charged it with its own battery today, and it plays just fine. All buttons work. Touchscreen is flawless. No dead pixels, nothing.

Now I just want to sell it on craigslist for some quick cash - how much should I ask, LOL???
