The Official Craigslist Finds Thread!
Just remember not to send it in if it Red Rings ;)

I remember reading about that one guy who sent his signed 360 in for repairs and they cleaned the case on him, even after he sent them a note with it to NOT clean it.

This is why if you have a 'one of a kind' item, you keep it close and in great shape. Otherwise, you only have yourself to blame if it gets messed up usually.
What snow boarding games did the :gc: have aside from 1080? I figure for 1080, RE4 and a cube with a wavebird $50 should be decent no?
There was a little known one called dark summit, and I think the cube had an ssx game or two on it. But yeah, $50 is a pretty good price for all that, especially since it comes with a wavebird.

okay... so today I got paper mario, zelda collector's edition, and pikmin2 all complete for the cube in really good shape for 20. Really happy since this was my first good craigslist find in months. I must've burned it out when I picked up that collection of like 50 games for 400 bucks a few months back.

Something I forgot to post which I picked up a few months back was this:
CIMG2050.jpg

All that for 40. One of my best value finds ever.

Kirby Dream Land 3 - $25
Kirby Super Star - $20
Kirby's Dream Course - $10

If you would to purchase all three, I'll do $45 (Dream Course free)

45 for all 3 good deal???

Picked up this haul for $60 today:

GClot3.jpg

PSO wasn't included with the deal, but I traded for it last month. Gave up a promo item I paid nothing for, so I figured I'd toss it in for good measure! Also, Zelda: Wind Waker is sealed and has been fetching nearly $40 on Ebay.

Was that in LA? There was some posting about a Gamecube and 18 games where the guy wrote "SOLD!!! I just sold it for $60 so all of you definitely missed out on a good deal..." It didn't list the games though.
Possibly. The dude was located in Simi Valley, so he probably posted in the Ventura and LA area.
LOL, yup, that's the one. Nice going...I'm glad a CAG got it.

Man, that is AWESOME!
I can't wait until my son is old enough that I can buy myself some toys under the guise that they are his.
Having a son is going to be great! I'm going to get myself some more Transformers and probably even hunt down some of my old He-Man stuff!

NICE FIND!!!11!!one!!11

had a decent find today, a bit pricey thought

120 games for $120
43 Saturn imports (some dupes), about half have spine cards
18 Dreamcast imports (1 dupe), about half have spine cards
2 PSOne Imports
1 Super Famicom Mahjong game
7 Neo Geo CD Games (imports)
1 Wonderswan BW game (Import, Puyo Puyo 2)
12 Domestic 3DO games, 7 complete
7 domestic Saturn games, 4 complete
6 Domestic Sega CD games, 5 complete
1 Comp Genesis game Comp domestic (Greendog)
2 Domestic comp Sega Master System games
8 Domestic TG16 games, all sports and complete
3 cart only NES games domestic
3 Cart only N64 games domestic
1 Domestic SNES game Complete (FI Roc II)

None of the games are spectacular, however, a number of the games arwe worth about $10-15 on ebay, which adds up pretty well. The NGCD games also pretty decent, never have seen any in the wild; a few too many sport games, the Saturn games included several horse racing games, but also a few gundam games and RPGs. may sell a bunch of the games to break even, will try to take a pic later. There are several games I cannot identify.

I had a good CraigsList haul yesterday -- traded my:

DS Silver (beaten to hell and no serial number or stylus, given to me by a friend for losing my GBA last year when she replaced it with a Lite)
GS GBA SP/DS Charger
Nyko GBA SP/DS car charger
Big Brain Academy (game only, $1 from yard sale)
Madden 05 GBA (from my little brother, he didnt want it anymore)
Guilty Gear DS ($5 TRU)
Trace Memory (Uhhh...BBV BOGO over the summer, I think)
SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters ($5 Kmart)

for a nearly mint, piano black PSP 2000 with charger, 1 GB memory stick, and mint Final Fantasy Tactics: WotL and Valkyrie Profile.

Wow, no more posts since my last one? I had a nice one yesterday, got a bite on an ad and they sent a brief summary with an asking price of $75. Experience has shown that haggling via email results in the deal breaking down at that stage, so after remarking about the Genesis games missing their boxes and poking at a couple of things, I CIFed $60 when I met her and she accepted it, saying she just wanted the stuff gone. Unfortunately, it all smells like it came from a smoking home.

On the plus side, though, the three GBA's were a complete surprise, as was the boxed original GameBoy.

Niiiiiiiiiiice, Slim!!!

I just picked up one thing yesterday, Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes, complete and in excellent shape (manual is a bit worn though, discs are flawless), dude had it posted for $6, I gave hime $5. Best part was he was just a few blocks from my office so it was quick and easy:

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/tag/954785256.html

But I got totally screwed this morning, got to this yard sale about an hour late, figured with the rain, nobody would be out yardsaling or go to this one, but they tell me all of the games were gone first thing, DOH! I didn't even bother asking what they had had, didn't want to know. They looked like they had a bunch more interestnig stuff, but I had to run...

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/gms/955425192.html

Video Games (PSP videos, PS1 & PS2 video games, DreamCast games)
Video Game consoles (SNES with games, PS1, Sega DreamCast)

Early this morning they changed the time to 7 am in this ad. DOH!

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/gms/956139258.html

$10 got me a decent haul yesterday

Dreamcast console
AC adaptor
Component cables
2 Sega brand Dreamcast controllers
1 Mad Katz brand Controller
1 Sega brand rumble pack (didn't know these existed)
1 Sega brand mouse (for surfing the interwebs on the Dreamcast I imagine)
5 (!!!) Sega brand memory cards

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2
Sonic Adventures

He also said he had a few more shoeboxes of dreamcast games lying around that he would let me know if he found. Said he would let them go for another 5 or 10 depending on how many. So hopefully this turns into an even better deal!

So, that huge haul I got Thanksgiving 2007 for $500 (including hundreds of games, some boxed, a sealed FF Mystic Quest, and a stack of Neo Geo carts)? I had a box of 100 or so shitty NES games from it, and I mean SHITTY. There were like seven Gyromites, all the games had faded labels or markers and were dusty as hell. I stopped by Play'n'trade a month ago, and they said that they would only take 1/3 of them and only offered $8 for the 30 or so they had cherry picked. I declined then, and I just sold the lot for a cool $100! (So far, after getting rid of the highly profitable or highly useless/cluttery stuff, that's $150 for Mystic Quest, $150 for the NeoGeos, $50 for the Atari games, $75 for the Game'n'watches and tabletops, and now, with $100 for this, I finally made a profit in addition to the HUGE amounts I added to my personal collection!)

Twenty minutes later, I took that cash to someone who was advertising a NES and 34 games for $100. I looked at the stuff, all three Mario's, Castlevania, Metroid, TMNT2, MegaMan 2, mostly in good shape, no boxes...and offered $40. We settled on $50.

Hopefully I'll be able to get $30 or so for the console and ten bucks each for some of the big name games, add the handful in there that I didn't have to my collection, and trade/sell the rest.

tl; dr: 100 useless NES games become 34 good NES games, a console, and $50.

Epic craigslist find.
I decided randomly to search other sections of CL than games and toys and electronics, and found this in the general section.
http://tucson.craigslist.org/for/954365325.html
Emailed the person and they said there were 32 games in the crate.
They didn't have a car, so I had to go to their apt. It was a shitty apartment, boxes of shit piled all over and I still smell like cigs after 2 minutes of standing in it. I'm surprised she didn't know more about games since most of the boxes were filled with old game and manga stuff, and there were shonen jump posters on the walls. Offered 15 for everything and it was taken.
Anyways, here are the games I got:
Paperboy x2
Kung Fu
Metal Storm
Legacy of the Wizard
Skate Or Die
Flying Dragon: The Secret Scroll
Renegade
Tag Team Wrestling
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Gyromite
The Last Ninja
Castlevania
Bram Stoker's Dracula
The Simpsons: Bart Vs. The Space Mutants
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Abadox
Ikari Warriors
Yoshi's Cookie
Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt
Bases Loaded 3
Tombs & Treasure
World Class Track Meet
Raid 2020
Magmax
Time Lord
Paperboy
Super Mario Bros. 3
Pin Bot
Bonk's Adventure
Karate Champ
Dick Tracy
Clash At Demonhead
I'm a NES n00b, so the only dup is SMB3. ^_^

Shit, it was flagged off. Damn, I would have loved to see it at least and see what 15 games it came with...hell if it was in LA, I might bite, or at least make an offer.

Sure. Bonk's Adventure and Bram Stoker's Dracula are pretty hard to come by, Bonk is very rare as a matter of fact. On ebay, Bram Stoker around $15-20, Bonk is around $40-50. Also, some of the more popular ones can get you some money on eBay especially this time of year: SMB3, Castlevania. As for the fun factor, you got one of the my favorite uncommon games in Metal Storm. Have fun with them all.
I wish I lived in the area, that's a great deal. Rescue Rangers 2 alone is worth $20-$30.
Yeah, just from a very quick glance, besides all the popular great games in that bundle, Bubble Bobble and Rescue Rangers 2 immediately popped out. I would be all over that. Unlike the awful deal I'm about to post in the craigslist stupidity topic...

I found one more double, yoshi's cookie, and it came with two copies of paperboy.
Already sold paperboy, yoshi's cookie, and SMB3 to Bookman's and made my money back, and I get to keep 29 games. ^_^

Total: $60

Not too cheap ass, but a find's a find. My collection was sorely lacking TMNT 3 and Mega Man 3. I already have a top loader, but now I have a second DogBone, and I should be able to make the money back pretty easy selling this top loader.

not the cheapest deal, but still not bad IMO(especially for the first game):

-Harvest Moon
-Super Mario RPG
-Mega Man X *CIB*
-Donkey Kong Country *CIB*
-Donkey Kong Country 2 *CIB*
-Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
-Power Instinct
-Illusion of Gaia
-Mario All-Stars
-Mario is Missing
-Mario's Time Machine
+One more game I can't remember

All for $65 - I've dealt with the guy who sold these before, about 2 months ago he sold me the SNES with some 28 games(mostly filler, but some goodies like FF III) for $60.00. He's an intersting fella: certainly not the kind of person you would expect to be a collector.

Not a CL deal, but the next day I went to the pawn shop and picked up two more copies of Mario All-Stars, Mario Kart, Yoshi's Island, and a spare controller for $12. Unfortunately the guy working there was also a gamer, and he told me there was a copy of Super Metroid in the box that he snagged earlier.... I guess you can't win them all, eh?
