A bare N64 with nothing included is worthless. Or at least in reselling value it is.

What color is it? the see-thru colors might be worth more especially the ice blue and orange

missed op. I was supposed to get a XBox with 7 games and remote for $40 would have made a great media center but alas funds ran dry. have to tell him no.
Summary: Wall of text lol wall of text lol
is it sad that I did the same thing?

I'll make sure to ask. Speaking of N64, how much is one normal one worth with the expansion pak, all original cables, and one blue controller??

45 Atari 2600 games, boxed with manuals, for 80. Should I do it? I checked the list of games and I didn't noticed any rare titles... but at least than two dollars a pop, I'm thinking about it.

If it were me I would try to get it lowered down. Unless if there's something you want for your collection. If it's for flipping it's not really worth it after fees and shipping. Hell you might even lose some money.

scored a fat PS2 - the chick said the parental lock was on it and she didn't know what the code was - I figured she was just trying to cover up the DRE or something and trying to get more for it. Worked it down from $20 to $10, got it home and it worked perfectly. Score!

i got a slim ps2 with 2 dual shock controllers off some business dude today. Guy said he needed money to pay off his credit card bills. Talked him down from 100 to 50. I asked him if he knew how much slim ps2's are selling for brand new ($99) and he wasn't aware sso he slashed the price.

I open the box and find a Fight night round 2 disc in the tray. LOL.

Got a wii today.

Just the system,hookups,1gb memory card with a ton of cheats on it and a rockband 1 disc for $100.No controllers or anything.

Works perfect the thing was hardly used at all.Already completly soft modded it :)

I think its a good deal.

I call the guy and ask if there is anything else. He says he has a DS (old one) he hasn't listed yet with some games. I ask what games and he says mario kart, tetris DS, Metroid and some others. I asked how much, he said $60 and I asked if he would take $100 for both, DONE. My wife was in the area so she picked it up. I look in the bag and those three games + used New Super Mario Bros. + SEALED Diddy Kong + the DS is the red Mario kart bundle with all original packaging.

Found this in my local Craigslist.

"Slightly used PlayStation Portable. Selling cheap to teach a child a lesson on hitting others.
Please call late evenings and early mornings."

They're wanting $50 for it. Obviously I'd want more info 1st, but do you think it's a good deal? Kinda a weird reason for selling it IMO but it's not my business.

My last find, a white DS lite for $35 fell through...

But instead tomorrow I'm getting a gold Zelda edition DS lite for the same price!

I think I got a good anime deal on craigslist today. For $100 total, I picked up:
Outlaw Star Vols. 1-3 (Complete series)
Noir Vols. 1-3 open, 4-7 sealed (Complete series)
Ranma 1/2 Ova collection
Sorcerer Hunters Complete Collection
Steel Angel Kurumi Complete Collection (all of seasons 1 and 2, and the ovas.)
Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water Collection 1 (first 20 episodes.)

It's all pretty much scratch free as well.

that's a ridiculously good price, congrats lol

For sale is the original Playstation with all the wires and one controller. This item comes with a game hunter that allows it to play any burned games on it. The Playstation comes with all the items pictured and the games CyberSpeed, Honda Super Bike, Twisted Metal 4, and Star Wars: Phantom Menace.

Above is the actually listing from craigslist. 20 bucks for all, good deal or no?

Honestly? That's not a weird reason, since a woman was offering her bf's(probably EX bf by the time she listed the ad)PS2 collection and the PS2 to go along with it for $50-100 about a year ago here.

The collection included something like 50-70 games, 6 memory cards, the system itself and other peripherals like extra controllers and multitaps.

However, being the procrastinator I am(my grass is almost a foot high now)I waited WAYYYYYY too long(2 days) and it was LONG GONE.

I had two good finds this week. I got Saints Row for 5 bucks in mint condition and 15 HD-DVDs for 25 bucks. I was happy with my finds.

Aside from getting my LD player and a shit-ton of my HD DVDs from people for $5 each off Craigslist, I recently got my Blu Ray play off of there for $100. Sharp Aquous HP21, already updated to 2.0, and works lie a charm. Love me some Craigslist.

Found a guy who wanted to trade Saints Row 2 Ce for $50 or a copy of Rainbow Six 2. So I went a bought RSV2 new for $19.99 and traded him. Not the best deal, but getting SR2 CE for $23 makes me happy.

I'm hoping this is legit but for $100

:360:- Halo 3, Halo Wars, Call of Duty 4, Bioshock, Resident Evil 5, Fable 2, Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Fallout 3, Rainbow Six Vegas, Rainbow Six Vegas 2
:xbox:- halo 2
:ps2:- Max Payne

Not holding out hope but I got a call in on it.

Got a few things today.

Sega Game Gear w/ offical case, star trek generations, alien 3, ecco, sonic 2 - $10
DC games - Worms Armageddon, quake 3, Tokyo xtreme racer, sega rally 2, crazy taxi - $5
DC keyboard and Mouse (with box) - $5
32x games - Star Wars arcade, Golf Magazine 36 Great Holes - $2
Super Mario Advance (complete, still has wrappers inside) - $10
Atari games - Football, Yars revenge, Defender, Space Attack - $4
GB game - TMNT fall of the footclan - $1

The guy had a sweet setup (had one of the old playstation display cases holding his collector games), was selling a powerglove, and a bunch of systems and games. Good stuff.
$50 for a slim ps2 is no deal, sorry to burst your bubble.
okay, maybe it's not a good deal, but it is cheaper then gamestop, and it's in great condition, and i hate paying retail for something when i can get it cheaper. I haven't seen any used ps2's around here for $10-15, you'd be lucky to find one that cheap over here, if there is, i really missed out i guess.
Kidding? That's a steal. Right off the bat
Nocturne, Marvel v Capcom 2,Wizardry, Fatal Frame,Ar Tonelico,Tales of the Abyss,Ico, Jurassic Park Genesis

Trust me, my first response when I saw that ad was to get over there as soon as possible.

I'm really envious of most of the craiglist hauls you guys have pulled off. Nice job CAGs!

Found a boxed NES system with all manuals and inserts - going to try and work out a deal.

:edit: need some CAG input here - good deal?

Boxed NES system complete with everything originally included with the console.

2 NES systems with cords, no controllers

2 gamecube systems - 1 with difficlulty reading discs - 3 controllers, memory card and wires

Star fox, tiger woods 05, burnout 2, star wars, Mario party, Mario golf, and top gun.

100 bucks brought to my door. I'm basically interested in one of the gamecube systems because I have boxes and manuals from my old one, and the boxed NES. Everything else I think ill attempt to resell. I already talked him down from about 150, so I'm not liking my chances of getting him to go lower. I'm only paying an extra 20 bucks for the GC stuff, so I'd like to keep that as part of the bundle for better resale value / adding to my personal collection. Yay or nay?

$100 seems way too high to me.
The nes is not new, but just includes the original packaging. (make sure if you do pay $100, you check if the nes is working properly, as they can be temperamental consoles...)
I see these at garage sales for $5 to $10 (including complete/boxed ones all the time).
GCs are at the most $25 at garage sales with lots of extras.
Let's say the delivery part is worth $10 to you...so at the most I would say $60 TOPS...good luck!

The delivery is worth a lot to me since I don't get my license until August at least and the dude is about an hour away.

I countered with 70 for everything but the spare NES systems since I was planning on selling them anyway.

I would have thought a boxed NES system was worth more than that, so thanks for the heads up.
I never said anything about it being rare, I just a CIB system would fetch more than 20 bucks
Your original nes description does not note cib but complete with box and inserts. cib might be worth a lil somethin somethin

Oh, haha, what's the difference? I figured that manuals and inserts were descriptive enough lol. In that case ill see what he says to my 70 dollar offer and pull the trigger if he's cool with it

Ah, true. Browsing CAG gives me a good idea of whats rare and what isn't, so I rarely find myself running into that issue.

Here's a pic of the NES since I'm still not sure the difference.

I want to snag this so bad lol

Got a pretty insane deal on kijiji (craigslist clone, nobody uses craigslist up here in Ottawa) yesterday. I posted an ad about 1 week ago saying that I'd buy older videogames for the right price, and to contact me if you have anything to sell. Well this guy emails me tuesday asking if I'm still interested in buying old games, I say yeah, not really expecting him to reply because 80% of people don't reply after the first email.

Anyways, I wake up wednesday, the guy responded with an email that said basically this:

Hey would you give me 20$ for the following?

NES with all hookups and 4 controllers
SNES with all hookups and 3 controllers
N64 with all hookups and 3 controllers, memory card, rumble pak
Super Mario 64
Zelda Ocarina of Time
Goldeneye 007
Modded PSOne with all hookups, 1 ps1 controller, 1 ps2 controller, 2 mem cards
Final Fantasy VIII

I said yeah that could be arranged, I was suspicious of course, and I thought maybe he meant 200$ not 20$, but whatever. We arrange for pickup, I drive to other side of town, pick up all the stuff (which is in fantastic condition) for 20$, and be on my merry way home.

So yeah, post an ad on craigslist saying you want to buy games, you never know what's gonna happen.

Probably stolen, but great find.

I only got lucky once with wanted ads, picked up about 25 genesis games and some super nintendo carts few weeks ago including some titles that are worth more then i paid for the whole lot like tmnt hyperstone heist which is worth almost what i paid for everything, and passed on some other things that i now regret not picking up. It's a mixed bag, sometimes you find someone cool who doesn't give a cahoot about what the value of their stuff is and just wants some quick cash, sometimes you run into flakes and crazies, and sometimes you'll find someone who is overpriced or wanting ebay prices that you have to pass on.

I wouldn't exactly assume it's stolen stuff, what if the person is just getting rid of their now-grown-up college kids video games? or someone who just doesn't want it anymore? If the stuff was sealed then that could raise some suspicion.

Damn that's a nice find. Good job dude. I have a ad posted up saying I'll buy old video games but only a few people have responded and when I tell them I want the stuff they never cared to answer back.
Probably stolen, but great find.
Yeah I thought that at first.

But the guy looked legit, he had a nice house in a nice neighbourhood and a family. He looked in his 30's, so he probably was just getting rid of his old games that he found while spring cleaning or something, at least that's my guess. He was all like oh I hope you'll enjoy these as much as I did, he was just a genuinely nice guy, at least in appearance. But yeah, I guess you never know with people.

As for the wanted ad, I usually delete it and repost it every day so that it's always on the first page. I usually get 2-5 responses every day, but Ottawa isn't very big, so I'm sure in a bigger city you'd get more. But yeah, most people stop responding after the first email, it's like they don't want my money or something.

I have the same problem trying to sell my car. They call or text and tell me how much they want it "they're gonna get the money together and call me back" and I never hear back.

Unanswered emails could be because they checked ebay and compared your offer with ebay prices or maybe they changed their mind about selling it because they want to hold onto it. Ask for a phone number or tell them to call you. That weeds out alot of the non-serious folk. I always do it now for all craigslist dealings and alot of the bullshit has cut down. I deal mostly with older women in their 50's. Selling off their kids prized possesions. Now what would a 50 year old women be doing with stolen games.......

Sometimes people who have second thoughts about selling once they realize what they have or they have a really busy life and forget to contact you back or check their email.

Making a trip today to pick up the CIB NES and a CIB dreamcast with 7 games and extra controllers for 100 bucks combined, 65 and 35 respectively. Might not be the best of deals but I'm trying to collect CIB systems, so its a good enough deal for me.

guy is selling an N64 with all hook ups, two controllers, and four games (Donkey Kong and Mario Golf...and he lists Toy Story twice so I'm assuming that's an error on his part). Only asking $15. I offered $10, but would definitely pay $15 for it. Hopefully I can snag this.

I've tried that around here and EVERY fuckin' ad gets flagged/deleted, usually because some reselling fucknut figures I'm their competition and want all of the dumbasses shit for themselves.

I had an opportunity to buy some guy's PS2 and like 50+ games and a bunch of other shit for $100 or so off of his disgruntled gf/ex gf about 6 months ago. I procrastinated and it went within the first couple of days. Why? Because I HATE dealing with people on the phone at first.

EVERY deal I've made from CL has been via e-mail. To me, if you can't take 2 minutes to type up a response to me and are constantly pestering me to 'call me, call me, call me' about whatever you're trying to sell, that just irks the shit outta me.

Case in point, I had a chance to buy a Genesis with '50+ games' recently. No list in the ad, so I ask for one in an e-mail. The response: call xxx-xxx-xxxx. NOOOOO!! I'm not gonna call you because you're too fuckin' lazy to post the names of the games in the ad or an e-mail.

Hey everyone. I need a little advice. I am looking into this ad, but it seems a little pricey to me. I really want to pick up a big Dreamcast lot, and this one's pretty big, but pricey. Also, the Gamecube games seem to all be pretty money. Do you think this is worth getting for a CAG for $250? I'm kinda wary about spending that much on games, but there really is never a damn thing for sale in my area. I have a feeling this douchebag won't negotiate. Is it worth maybe $200 if I were to offer that? I will end up keeping most everything in the lot, probably try to rid of some of the crappier Dreamcast games and the PS2. Thanks.

-Dreamcast-

I bought this game system a long time ago and have been holding onto it. Now I realize that I have to part with it because I just dont play it anymore. It has a great game library and still work absolutely perfect. A few games have light scratches on the back that effect gameplay in no way at all. Elemental Gimmick Gear has a deep nick in it but it still works as far as I can tell. Included are the 24 games, a import startup disk, the web browser, and the system itself. 2 controllers and one VMU memory card come with it.

Shenmue
Shenmue II (import)
Quake III Arena
NFL 2K
Skies of Arcadia (without booklet)
Outtrigger
Maken X
4x4 Evo
Expendable
Phantasy Star Online (with Sonic Adventure 2 demo disk)
Draconus - Cult of the Wyrm
Record of Lodoss War
Elemental Gimmick Gear
Armada
Sword of the Berserk - Guts' Rage
Fur Fighters
Test Drive V-Rally
Shadow Man
MTV Skateboarding
Trickstyle
Vanishing Point
Aerowings
Crazy Taxi
Alienfront Online

-Silver Gamecube-

This is a bundle that includes the Gamecube System, one controller, and 11 very good games. This is the list.

Fire Emblem - Path of Radiance
Resident Evil 4 - Collectors edition
Beyond Good and Evil
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Standard + Master Quest (a very rare game to find)
Legend of Zelda - Wind Waker
Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess
Tales of Symphonia
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2 - Echoes
Alien Hominid

PLUS A PLAYSTATION 2!!!

I will also throw in my PS2. It comes with 2 controllers, a ps1 memory card and a ps2 memory card. I just recently bought it refurbished at gamestop and have not used it much.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this and let me know if you are interested so we can work it out. Let me know via email if you want it so you can just come pick it up sometime.
I will only accept cash. I just about got scammed and I will not let it happen again.
