Two very excellent hauls. And also exposes jimmybob_theblob as a big fat thread crapping troll.
You can sell the COD to make your money back, so it is a deal.

Freakin' Phoenix CL overcharges for everything

interesting to find this thread..

I scored a $40 xbox360 last time (no hdmi and hdd but had a controller, very old model, seller says the RRod error happens a lot), send the machine to ms for repair, dvd rom replaced.. very happy with this now

but it never beats the $30 8gb iphone 2gen i get..

these are the only two deals i score by far this year,, it's a small town and 99% of the posts are simply crap.

You don't have a cell phone camera??

Actually COD5 is the only game in the bunch I even wanted, I have COD4 and Resistance already, and the 3 others are crap, but I know I can sell those 5 and make my money back, so I am basically getting COD 5 for free.

hey guys do you think i can get $330 for the xbox elite bundle (the one with lego indiana johns and kungfu panda)..

i had one amazon account that's locked with the $75 off coupon.. so i am thinking getting this one and amazon will send me a $70 gc, sell the machine for $330 will make even.. don't expect to make any profit.. just hope to get the gift card into another account (which already has over $200 gc there in total) so i can buy a ps3.
Yeah...I use a Nokia 3200. It's about 5 yrs old.
Look, lets put an end to this now. I know I started the you are a troll thing. I shouldn't have done that. The mods should really handle that sort of thing, and I apologize for stepping out of line.

If you did in fact get that bundle. Congrats. It would be really nice if you could provide a picture.

What was really crappy of you was to say you picked up a bundle that you didn't when another CAG was trying to get it. What if he said, oh well nevermind, Jimmybob_theblob got it. We realized that you couldn't be both near me in Virginia, and near the N64 bundle Ivanwijaya did eventually get.

You cried Wolf, and you were caught. You had your 1 minute of no one knows me on the internet so I can do something dumb. Welcome to the club. Now lets all move on, I think we can close this problem, and get back to the purpose of this topic, Craigslist finds.

Sure beats the person up by me today who wants a DS lite or PSP for super mario RPG. He knows what hes talking about because he "owns the largest trading company in the state"

I just sent an email to a guy who made three listings, each $10
SNES complete + games (didn't say what games)
NES complete + games (again, didn't say)
Virtual Boy + Wario, Mario Tennis, Bowling, & Golf

It was posted like 20 minutes ago but I think I have a good chance to be the first...I don't even care what the games are, at that price it's got me drooling just thinking about it.

Earthbound with official nintendo strategy guide for $65, should I bite? The CAG in me says wait and try to find it at a yard sale. The burning hole in my pocket says do it.

That is pretty good. I see cart only going for 90ish alot.

Okay, here are pics of the Transformers haul I made on Saturday, which I mentioned in the yard sale thread. $500 for the lot. It's a very solid lot, particularly due to the mint (no discoloration/yellowing...pure white) and 100% complete in near mint box Jetfire, the mint/complete in near mint box Megatron, all 6 individual carded and bubbled (bubbles have been opened carefully but resealed) Constructicons, the mint/complete in near mint box Grimlock, the Snarl and Swoop, both mint and complete, with box (no instructions or box insert/bubble), and the complete/mint in near mint box Sunstreaker.

The complete/mint deluxe Insecticon Venom, complete (no insert) with box Inferno, Red Alert, and Topspin are just bonuses for the collection (along with the original Transformers poster puzzle). With this haul, combined with my previous CL original G1 boxed TF score of a lifetime from last month), my collection is looking pretty outstanding.

Notables that I'm missing and most interested in acquiring are Slag (I have the G2 version...green, ugggh), Skywarp (have the Encore 2 pack & reissue though), Ramjet, Whirl (I have the original Japanese anime version, very very cool), aaaand that's it off the top of my head. I don't have Sky Lynx, but I don't really care about him. Oh yeah, maybe some of the Headmasters/Targetmasters, but I have most of those, at least the key ones.

I got something that I am guessing most you will never find on CL or even ebay, a debugging slim PS2. The bad news is that the system only works when tilted 45 degrees so it got a bad laser.

$145 for the system, 3 controllers, memory card, and 21 games.
Can I get some help from you goys and birls? I'm thinking of getting another LCD or Plasma tv and came across this. Could someone possibly tell me what you think could be wrong with this tv? And would it be worth it to say offer like $200? Thanks.

Uggh. Me personally? I wouldn't risk it, unless at least the inputs worked normally.

But first, investigate online whether that sort of problem is common, and whether it is repairable. But prices on new plasmas and lcds are getting so low with the leds and oleds coming out, I personally wouldn't want to deal with the hassle...

All right man, thanks for the response.

You can pick up a decent 19" 720p/1080i LCD for around $170-$180 nowadays. Just make sure you get one with an HDMI port if you plan on using it for new gaming.

Pickups for the past week or so:

PS1 Legend of Legaia (complete, front of the case pretty scratched) - 2$
PS1 Civilization II (complete, very good) - 2$
DS Final Fantasy IV (no manual) - 10$

There's not much on CraigsList where I'm from, but this one finally perched up just an hour ago. Emailed but since it's 1am, I cant really find out if I'm the winner until tomorrow.

Over 100 games, there are duplicates, but not that many. A few aftermarket controller. Original driving controllers. Set of paddles. Star Raiders Keypad. Big stack of instruction manuals and catalogs. 1 original power pack. 1 switchbox. 2 working Atari 2600 units.

I did not want to take the time to list all the games. If you have a question about a few games and weather or not I have them and the manuals that's fine. Please don't ask for a game list though. This is a great deal. First one gets it. Shoot me an email.

While what you say is true, 19" != 60"

Not everyone can afford that. I certainly can't. I do most of my gaming on a 32" CRT, but when I'm playing in HD, my 19" flat panel that I got for $200 (w/ HDMI, goes up to 1080i) is pretty wonderful.

Hello, I am asking for any type of games that you can donate to me. You know like games that you have lying around that are old and you don't use them anymore. In any condition I will accept. Please email me if you are willing to donate to me for a project I am doing. My email is [email protected]
Thank you so much -Francisco Martinez-

LOL, for a second here I thought this was the craigslist stupidity thread, and was wondering where the link to the original ad was. Then I realized, "uhhhh, the guy posting is actually begging us for games. Unreal."

I'm not going to do any sort of "sign up for endless spam", but I wouldn't be surprised if that email addy you posted gets flooded with penile enhancement spam...

If you get it for $100, I think it would be just OK, not great. Anymore and I would walk away. There are some good games there, but it would depend on condition/completeness.

He says they are all complete and in great condition with FFVII being the only greatest hits version. Had to walk away though as he tried to raise the price to $180. Also found someone asking $150 for a used wii with wii sports, animal crossing, and "wii party game", whatever the hell that is. Seems too good to be true and I am naturally skeptical. I have no experience with the Wii so if I go look at it is there anything I should keep an eye peeled that would symbolize it has technical issues or will have them soon?

I don't think I've ever seen a sega saturn for sale outside of ebay besides the one I had as a kid. Guess it's just not something people had locally. Nice score though.

So, I put an ad on craigslist Friday asking anyone to tell me if they had old video games at their yard sales tomorrow, no one responded except one guy who said he wasn't having a yard sale but had a few boxes of video games in the garage, come and make an offer on it. I went over tonight and he went on about how much money he could make on it but didn't have the time and just wanted the shit out of his garage. I offered $30 for it all and he said he wanted at least $60, but we negotiated to $40 for everything.

So, for $40, I got:

Yeah, it's weird seeing them locally. I've actually got lucky and picked up 2 of them each with 20+ games for $75 each. Both of them included a copy of House of the Dead so I promptly sold them for $80 each, leaving me with around 40 games, 2 fully working Saturns, 3 guns, 1 arcade stick, a 3d nights controller, and more! I've got some good/valuable games in it too like Sonic Jam, Marvel Super Heroes, Iron Man, Virtua Cop 1+2, and plenty more. Good finds, now I just need to sell one of the Saturns and a couple of the duplicate games.

I got my saturn at the swap meet for $5, and the same day picked up about 20 saturn games for $3 a pop at another stand. That was a pretty cool day.

Picked this bundle up for $100. Much more than I wanted to spend, but considering the condition/completeness and value of the collection, I jumped on it.

Person was advertising a bunch of lamps and household crap for sale, and in the ad noted they were selling a Virtual Boy and games (I search for VirtuaBoy, Virtua Boy, VirtualBoy, and Virtual Boy...that's how I found it).

So I contacted them about it, and they emailed me back saying it was a complete collection, with ALL US release Virtual Boy games:

"I have pics of the box at home, but everything is in like new condition and it comes with every game that was ever made for it.

"Here are pics of 9 of the games, the other 5 are included and complete but I didn't take pics of them. If you want pics of those, I can get them though. (and the ac adapter so you can plug into the wall and avoid buying batteries). I have all of the games, there were 14 games made for North America. Panic bomber is still in the plastic. Everything is in fantastic condition. My friend and I loved Mario Clash. That one got terrible reviews for a Mario, but was just amazingly addictive, if you liked the original Mario Bros."

I offered $60, they wanted $100 at least and were firm about it, so I said fine. Here, I uploaded the pics they emailed me, and will take more of the other games shortly.
