OK, so i've been wanting to start this for awhile.

This is the place to come when you're drinking it up and you want to post random thoughts and insights. Be sure to post what you've been drinking.

Right now I'm having some beer and watching football. I'm going to order some pizza soon. Then I'm going to play some RE4...this is the life.

do we have enough 21+ drinking CAGs to keep this alive??

What is said in the thread, stays in this thread.

I haven't drank in a long time. ;o

If I do (I might have something to drink tomorrow night), I'll let my neurons do the posting. A lot of idiots on here turn into flaming, mealy-mouthed yambags when they drink, so this topic should be entertaining...

(I've yet to actually get drunk, by the way.)

How long is a long time??

By the way your SIG rules!
I've been thinking about mixing myself a drink all day. Maybe I'll be more motivated now that I've seen this thread. :)
MMmmmm....and now that I saw your post I think I'll bust open that blender and make some Margaritas. But first I must purchase some tequila. I spend too much on alcohol. Damnit!
How long is a long time??
A couple of weeks, I think. Even so, I think I only had one drink. Before that, I can't remember when I last had a drink. Months, probably.

When I do drink, I usually have one or two of whatever I drink. If I actually got drunk, I'd probably turn even more surreal.
By the way your SIG rules!
Thanks. ;)

I should've made a topic along the lines of...

The OFFICIAL "I'm On Steroids Right Now" Thread!

I had to take steroids for a severe back injury I had a year ago... I stopped taking them because I was having really, really bad 'roid rage. I had to gradually take them, too. 10 pills the first day, 9 the next, 8 the next, and so on; to prevent withdrawal.

I stopped taking them when I was around 5 or 4 pills a day. The withdrawal hurt my mind, body and soul -- I'll never touch that shit again. I turned into the Incredible Hulk a couple of times, whilst speaking in tongues.

That's crazy bro. Where did you get the 'roids? Give us a 'roid rage story!!! Unless it's to painful to talk about...

The doctor prescribed them to me. They weren't black market or anything like that. ;)

He prescribed them to me in order for them to possibly repair a herniated disk I had in my spine, while they were figuring out if I need surgery or not. It turns out I did need surgery, after reviewing my MRI results which revealed that I had a blown out disk with severe nerve damage in my back, buttock and right leg. So I didn't really need the 'roids to beging with.

As for the 'roid rage, I went nuts a few times. I'd hear my own heartbeat, see red and flip the Hell out, which I'm embarrassed of.

I went nuts in one of the hallways in my house, smashing a shelf, the laundry hamper and cracking my bedroom door in half (with my fist).

It's a little embarrassing, but it's funny at the same time. ;o
This is what you talk about when your drunk.
Last time I had a drink, I was talking about my theories on soulmates. ;o

Natty Light? When I drink on the cheap, it's Miller High Life, Pabst Blue Ribbon (the only beer I've ever had that tastes exactly the same, no matter can, bottle, or draft), or Weidemann. I'm a little too far south to get Heilemann's Old Style with ease, and it's easily been four years since I've seen Canadian Black Lable for sale.

If I have money, Smithwick's, Guinness, Bass, and Harp typically. I don't like to engage in cultural miscegenation, and thus I don't ever drink black and tans. I also homebrew, although I am rather new to it (1 year experience); I made a respectable ESB (close to Red Hook, but not quite the majesty of Fuller's), a lousy Raspberry Wheat (fucking $4.00 LD Carlson flavoring) and a drinkable Anchor Steam clone. My wife hates that I buy and make beer; I have to rationalize spending $12 on two bottles of Chimay Ale when I have four cases of homebrew already.

Spirits? Jameson, Jameson, Jameson. I live in Kentucky and I hate bourbon; then again, I hate University of Kentucky basketball too, so I'm surprised I haven't been murdered. How do I drink my Jameson? Glad you asked; in the summer, on the rocks with a squeeze of lemon and a splash of water; in the winter, with coffee and one packet sugar in the raw (have you figured out yet that I run the border between meticulous and compulsive?). I also enjoy gin and tonic (squeeze of lime) in the summer, and my absolute favorite winter drink is Frangelico and coffee (nothing else added).

Did you know: half a shot of Frangelico in a white hot skillet with half a cup of slivered almonds is perfect for cooking green beans or white fish in by itself; try it sometime.

I used to drink white russians; after having 11 at a wedding, I have steered clear for about 3 years. Now that starbucks makes an amazing coffee liquer, I might have to go back in that direction.

Wines last, I suppose. I don't like anything with the word "sauvignon" in it, white or red. I do enjoy Cote du Rhone (pardon my destruction of French spelling), Syrah/Shiraz, Beaujolais, and Pinot Noirs (depending). I'm not much of a white drinker, but a good spicy Chardonnay will never be turned down by me. My wife enjoys riesling, but I'm convinced that it is German for "wine for people too ashamed to order white zinfandel."

So, am I a drinkin' snob, you ask? Nah, I was raised Irish and Catholic though. That 'splains that.

Near Charlotte NC... I graduated college a couple years ago, and damn when you are a poor ass college student, its all about the Natty light, Beast light, Schafers, Shlitz, etc... Ugh, the thought of shlitz makes me want to stab myself with a rusty coat hanger :whistle2:# Anything for a buzz though :D

Thanks! I've got Paint Shop Pro 9, but hell I dont know how to use it

You know your shit man. Uhm...i totally agree with Miller High Life though. We had vast quantites of that over spring break. It goes down really well with a funnel

this thread reminds me......I haven't had a drink in weeks! That partially explains my recent neuroticism....

Think I'll pick up a 6 pack of Old Style or Goose Island's new wheat beer, 312 (chicago area code.)

Gotta keep it real until I move up to Wisconsin...which I hear is secretly a Canadian separatist state. or something.

I keep having the urge to do an Irish Carbomb or eight, but I keep forgetting I have neither the Bailey's nor the Guinness. :(

So I guess it's down to a post dinner vodka+mixer or whiskey & coke. Unless I decide to drink the Killian's in the fridge. ;)

Sounds like it.

I used to do 2-3 carbombs as warmups before my fraternity's social events started up... made for some really interesting nights. ;)

Yeah, carbombs make for some fun... We took all our "rushees" to a hockey game one night, then hit the bar afterwards... My girlfriend (wife now) knew I loved Irish car bombs, so she ordered me one. Of course I am way past drunk, but I take it anyways... and throw it back up in my mouth, and drink it again! SWOOT!

And one time, during the Carolina Panthers game (HUGE Panthers fan I am, GO HOOVER!), I said I was going to take a carbomb every time we scored... By the end of the 3rd quarter I was passed out

So your Greek, what letters? Im a Sigma Chi, Kappa Gamma chapter Western Carolina University. Pledged fall 99...

There's a Sigma Chi at Clarkson University, not sure which chapter it is though. As for myself, I pledge Zeta Nu (the one and only, it's a local house at Clarkson) in the Spring of 2000.

Have you guys done a power hour?

1 shot of beer every minute, for 60 minutes. It's super fun when you create a custom soundtrack of tunes that are truncated to make them 1:00 minute long.

Last year, I would put the Street Fighter Animated Film in the background (muted) which is hilarious.

I had this the other day. It was a little bitter on the finish but pretty good nonetheless.
This is the beer of choice for Saki bombs! Gotta love the strikingly solid beer can.

I've hung out with people while they did that, but I was never too keen on the idea.

The Street Fighter II animated movie though -- I remember that being pretty descent... haven't seen it in a good 10 years or so though.

Try the Sapporo draft in the bottles (with the black label and that star/wreath emblem in the center); it's remarkably different from the cans.

Which reminds me, a neighbor down the street is a far better beer snob/brewmaster than I. We exchanges homemade beers last week, and he gave me three bottles of a lager-style beer similar to Sapporo, but with a touch of gari (pickled ginger, not to be confused with geri, aka diarhhea).

 that beer he made makes me want to eat sushi and drink that beer for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the rest of my life.

(Oddly enough) I thank God every day that I wasn't raised Catholic, and that the Irish portion of my DNA is suppressed.

It's a special feature on the Streeth Fighter 25th Edition collection PS2 game. That movie never gets old (when you're drunk!).

I've also done a "power hour" with my DDR soundtrack. Weird but kinda fun

Back when I was dating my girlfriend (before she was the wifey), she said she had a fun game for me to play... So she pulls out a CD with 60 1 minute songs on it... Me and her and her roomate played power hour (my first time)... man, that was fun! Now I have a special folder on my PC with loads of 60 second songs, should the need for power hour ever arise again... Definitely a "must experience"

Hey good to hear someone else that likes that! I did one last weekend when my g/f was in town....I miss her!

I'm gonna start drinking right now!! Some Canadian Club Whisky and diet Cherry Pepsi is what I shall be having. The best way to mix: half glass whisky, half soda, 4 ice cubes and two episodes of Cops and you're set

Not that I recall but I did have Vexx. And it was quite a joyous day when Pennsylvania allowed the sale of Molson XXX

Power hour is my all time favorite drinking game. I cant drink hardcore without pre gaming with some power hour first. I dont suppose there's some place you could post your power hour folder somewhere for download? I made one awhile back for my friend (special 80s edition .. it even had some Karate Kid songs on there) but I've lost the files along time ago.
