As an FYI my Day One Edition box was just pulled from eBay. I did list it correctly in packaging etc and was not trying to pass it off as a console but it was removed. Sucks as they were going for $100-200+ but nothing you can do. All the ones I was watching were pulled as well.

They are being pulled because the people paying $100 or $200 think they got a system for that price! Ebay is having to do lots of refunds. The box is not worth that kind of money.

I'm not used to selling much stuff on Craigslist and I'm only selling my PS4 because I bought an Xbox One and figured I don't need both right now.
I got the console from Amazon and the customer wants a receipt with it. I printed up the order invoice from Amazon but the serial number isn't located anywhere. Does it make that big of a difference? Any advice from people selling consoles they received from Amazon?
I talked to the guy on the phone and he seemed legit, he's buying it for his son and his son will be there with him. Everything seems good, just want to double check.

Amazon doesn't provide the serial number to you. Just make a note of it in the chance he comes back to you and complains about a defective console.

Picked up 10 more from the amazon sale just now as Indiana said it lasted only 29 minutes and was only 1 per account.
Xbox has slowed a bit still going for a premium 600-650 per unit but not hard to find if you look. especially if you don't mind buying a big bundle. Hard to make any money after ebay fees and paypal fees.
As for the PS4 Sold another 8 units today all in the 650 range plus shipping. Online demand is much higher then local craigslist the last few days.
Looks like the PS4 continues to climb as retailers are now holding stock for ads they are doing so they have something.

I love it when he talks about "moving units" and "customers" and "high demand" like he is some business reporter and not just like some skeevy guy standing outside a football game or concert with tickets up his sleeve as he watches for cops. He is probably just trying to drum up demand and prices by doing that and creating the perception of them being harder to find than they actually are. If you even half pay attention you could have scored a PS4 or XBOne at retail about a dozen times over the past few weeks. I see posts almost everyday from one store or another that gets some in.
The real question here is whether his "business" is reporting all of these big profits on his tax return. Because if not it crosses the line from scumbag to felony. All of these dozens of "units" at hundreds in profit rings up a nice tally come tax time.

Guys demand is stronger then ever on ebay not sure why you all hate or just don't seem to understand how things work, Cost is what somebody deems something to be worth it happens every day in life. Its all about supply and demand just like anything else, Anything that is limited has demand and as for your tax comment I am happy to pay my taxes, All my ebay transactions are recorded and once you go over 20K in sales in paypal you get a Tax form so yes my taxes are covered . Am I a gamer ? not in the least I could care less but I don't mind profiting on them and a parents craze . Do a little search on ebay and see what auctions are going for, Also most ebay users don't have the patients for auction format and just buy it now even if its 50.00 higher then spending the time in an auction. Remember your chants of Scumbag when you buy your next car and don't want to pay sticker or when you buy your house and they have it listed for 480,000 and you offer 420,000 see if you call yourself scumbags. Some of you should lay off the gaming and get yourself into a good economics class so you can learn how things work.

Only units I hold are First day edition ones and they will hold there value.

So you are not a gamer and your only purpose is to come here on a forums dedicated to gamers and tell us how "strong" the demand is on your "units" that you have no interest in personally. Were better to gauge a market then the end user? Nobody is rubbing anything in your eye this thread is dedicate to the buying and flipping of Next generation units when it was started. I don't care if you welcome me with open arms or not, I am just giving other flippers in this market some information on what is taking place out there. Take all the information you seem to have and just do an advanced search on ebay and look for complete auctions and tell me what you see. As far as a gamer wanting a system? Do what any normal person would do, Wait it out until there is plenty for sale and there is no flip market and you can have all you want at retail price. The factor of the matter is be mad at Sony and Microsoft this is done on purpose so the media feeds on it. You cant buy press like that. Also lets be realistic the game library on each unit is very small at the moment I am not even a gamer and I know that. Your the same guy who gets mad when he makes a bet at the casino and looses and then says its rigged? Didn't you know that before you put your money down.

No I'm the guy that doesn't gamble and thinks you are an ass for taking advantage of other people. You give capitalism a bad name. You are neither a consumer nor a producer, your contribution is solely to shave money out of the whole thing and provide zero benefit. You are helping create the scarcity the requires your "service". When someone is both source of the problem and the solution people usually call that a con game. Those 19 PS4s you said you proudly ordered from Amazon yesterday when they came up could have been bought for retail by people that would use them, but instead you are extracting by your own estimates around $2,000 for simply standing in the way.
That said, I doubt he is making what he says as well. Why would he feel the need to come on a site dedicated to people saving money to tell us how in demand they are that you need to spend lots extra if they really were selling that well? Well networked gamers looking for a discount aren't exactly your target audience as a scalper. He is probably sitting on several of his "units" and isn't getting bites for the big money he expected. There are numerous PS4 auctions barely over $500 that are ending with ZERO bids right now. I see one right now with 6 minutes left for $500 and no bids.

I have an extra X1 that I could sell, but can't find any buyers. Trying to sell it for $560 and can't even get a buyer. That tells you that the stores must have them stocked, because I'm only $20 above the actual retail cost.

I wouldn't say rare, just don't expect to walk into the store any old time and pick one up (or for the XB1). People want it, but stores have been getting restocks all the time. All it takes is a little planning. Most stores are batching them up for certain days instead of just throwing a few out as they come in, so if you ask they can usually tell you exactly when to check back. I've heard that Best Buy is going to have at least one more big "event" before Christmas, and TRU is having one as well where they will both have a significant amount of PS4s. And other stores will be getting them in as well.
I'm not here to gloat but damn... we had people predicting they would clear $2,000 per system and were going to buy a new Audi from their next gen flipping profits.... AND THEY WERE BEING SERIOUS!
Oh well. We laughed him into creating three or four different alt accounts. He must be feeling like a jackass if he hasn't posted in a week or so. I love how he said he was selling 8-10 PS4's a day at $650+ plus shipping a week ago when the average selling price was MUCH less then that.
I guess it's time to admit defeat and get out your receipts
I didn't get to make a ton of profit but the next gen release helped in turning a lot of my store credit at GS, Amazon, and TRU into cash. It may not seem like a worthwhile effort but when you consider the interest value of hundreds of dollars of credit, it's great for liquidity considerations. PS4's were easy to make some profit on top of the cash conversion while Xbone's were just barely above breakeven propositions.

I was at Gamestop at about 3pm yesterday and they just got a shipment of about 25-30 Xbox Ones. One of the employees was unpackaging them that late in the day and there wasn't a line of customers waiting for them or anything

Lol. And now I was at Best Buy to pick up a couple Christmas gifts and they had their giant stack of XBones piled up at the front of the store. Either Microsoft has a VERY good handle on supply/demand or they aren't selling very good

X bones are a plenty in my area. I picked up a ps4 from gamestop just to convert the credit into cash. Threw it on Craigslist to see if I can get any local bites. If not then I'll throw it on ebay.
Of course there was money to be made. All kinds of it. But not enough to go ape shit crazy and pull the stunts that the OP was discussing under his numerous alt accounts (having people wait in lines, paying employees for stock information, hounding people in the parking lot, etc.).
he is probably buried under them. it seemed like he had a whole warehouse room full of it, along with all the profit in $ cash he made.

Nah he has a warehouse of "murdered" out Audi's that he bought from the $2,000 of profit he made on EACH PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console he sold. He was able to do this because he had super human resale skills.

The easy money had already made on launch weekend for each respective console. What irks me was that we, the gamers, should had purchase SNE stock prior to PS4 launch. The stock has beaten to hell, and as a gamer we all knew PS4 was going to sell well and out perform xbone. That's where the real money would had been made.
