Nobody home here. The trolls and the juvenile drama chased me away.

I thought CAG was a supportive community, but I was wrong, apparently.

You're free to let someone else man the thread now; I understand J7 has a lot of free time on his hands and has been trying to circumvent the thread from me for a few months.

I just don't have the patience for the children anymore.

Jaysapathy kept this thread running, he's been keeping this thread alive by himself, doing us, CAG bretheren a favor, and this is how we repay him???? By stealing his thread and calling him names??????

This is shameful, and its exactly the mentality that has been going on, and exactly why I seldom post on here, cause one wrong step and you will get chewed out with no good deed going unpunished. Rather than helping the OP, we chastise him, and it doesn't matter who said what, because ultimately we're arguing over a FREE website's FREE threads, control over FREE information given by other members for FREE. And even worse, this is over clearance video games!!!! I mean seriously, you're not fighting over who gets to control France. And personal attacks, by anyone, and I mean ANYONE, are utterly ridiculous. I'm a better CAG'er than you? I can run a free thread better than you??? Are we here to get video games cheap, or find out what type of webmaster you'll be. I'm over it.

So thank you personally Jaysapathy, were it not for the thread which you brought back and maintained, I'd have not found some really terriffic deals that absolutely made my day. And I think you did a fine job!!!!
 
Actually, it's us CAGs that keep this thread running by reporting new drops. The OP is usually the one who consolidates them and adds them to the OP.

Apparently if you are a TRU Rewards member, you can get Batman: Arkham Asylum for $29.00.

$59.99 - $20.00 Discount (with or without the Rewards membership) - $10.00 TRU Gift Card (with Rewards membership) = $29.99

Without the Rewards membership, it still comes out to $39.99 though, still a good deal.

Warning though, it is only valid Tuesday (I believe) 10AM-2PM.

There were no clearance drops this week. I posted an update last week.

Just to let you all know, if there are any drops to report, I will usually post an update on the Thursday (sometimes Friday) before the drops are active. Just so one doesn't have to go and search through a weeks worths of posts.

This is not true. There have been dozens of updates posted by people on here, mostly stuff that was not found in the last large markdown list at individual stores.

I don't care anymore. Do whatever the fuck you want. It will be a long time, if ever, that I create a detailed thread again for CAG. Thanks to those who talked shit for their own benefit instead of for reason.

Anyone had much experience yet with trade-in values at TRU? Mine just started taking trades, but they won't quote over the phone. It would be nice if we could start a thread with values -- particularly since they've had some good deals even outside of clearances lately ($30 gift card with purchase of Batman: AA).

At Huntington, NY, I got Resistance 2 CE for $30. There's 5 more remaining. Just want to give a big thanks to J7 for notifying us about that. I would never have known about it if I hadn't read his post.

Ahh then I would assume the Sale would be "Buy a DS game, get half off any other game"..

The DEal is Buy 1 Nintendo DS game,Get Half off another DS Game" but you can go try... Im sure other CAG would like to know if there is another potential rape the system loop hole.

There are two buy-one-get-one-half-off deals going on, one on DS games and one on Wii games. I almost asked about it last night because there was only one DS game that I wanted in the store, but then I couldn't find any Wii games that I wanted either so I didn't bother. While, like you, I'm doubtful they'd allow it (if nothing else, their registers probably aren't programmed for it), I'd hardly call it "raping the system" to be able to mix and match between the two (essentially identical) offers. Regardless of what you buy, I'm sure it's the standard deal where the cheaper item is the one that's discounted.
 
Actually, scratch that. I just tried it on the website, adding one DS game and one Wii game to my cart. The DS game (which was the cheaper of the two) came up at half-off. So yes, at least online (and I'd assume, therefore, in the store as well), the offers can be mixed and matched. The DS game was a pre-order, so it even apparently works with those (even though the offer says "excludes pre-orders"? might be YMMV).

Damn, there's a much better selection on the website too. Now I'm tempted to spend a bunch of money that I shouldn't really be spending. :)

Edit: Never mind, shipping kills it . . . Anyone know of a way to get free shipping?

Went to pick up batman, but disapointed that Tales of Vesperia was not only sold out but sold out on every TRU in Puerto Rico. Oh well ill get it one day...

Fable II - $14.25
Resident Evil 4 Wii - $6

These are identical to what's on Amazon's site so I was wondering if maybe they're using the same vendor for their trade ins. If so, that means we'd always be able to do TIV lookups on Amazon. But unless they start doing some great deals like Amazon has had lately with their trades, then I don't see trading in to TRU very often (although deals like the Batman $30 gift card might encourage me enough).
 
Did Crisis Core go back up? I was checking for some DS games and when I noticed that Crisis Core was marked $19.99 (it was $9.99 when I got it) in the PSP section by the side.

It was $9.99 at my store. The reason I'm splitting hairs is because games ending in 8 or 0 are on clearance and they will continue to drop. Games with a 9 can go back up like Soul Bubbles and Spectrobes on the DS did. They went from $9.99 to $19.99. They couldn't sell the damn things at $9.99, how are they going to sell at $19.99?

I knew about it because of my one friend from CAG telling me our local TRU had 2-3 in stock for $30 each and that was like 2-3 weeks ago.

I can find out when I go into work tomorrow where the games are sent. We have pre-paid shipping boxes to send the games out.

it was ok. but you pretty much spend most of your time shaking the wiimote. im sure its the same idea for RE Archives.

How so? It's the best version of RE4 so far. The Wii controls are much better than the original GCN or PS2 controls.

RE Archives doesn't use Wii specific controls like RE4 did. You can use the Wii-mote on it's side (like for NES VC games), the Classic Controller, or a Gamecube Controller.
