"The Replacements" - Madden 10 Fantasy League Season 3; Super Bowl

Just thought I'd say that I never thought making your own team would result in so much fun! There's something really satisfying about winning with a team you built from scratch.
JStryke, I'll hopefully be good for 4pm EST. I'll check the site around 3pm to make sure nothing has come up.
 
As far as I know, things are still looking good for 4. I called one place and they're going to have the guy contact me tomorrow (supposedly), so we'll see what happens there. Not that I expect much. Used to it at this point.

As for winning with a team you draft, at least one of us is experiencing that. :p

I'm just hoping it's not windy. I swear, the last 3 games I've played in, you'd think Hurricane Katrina was stalking us or something.
 
Heh. Maybe I'll get that soon too. I'm finishing up a mission in SR2, but as soon as I get that done, I'll invite you. Unless you beat me to it. :p
 
FYI--I am going to be out of town from tomorrow afternoon through Monday evening. My next few games are against the CPU, so you can sim them if you need to. If we don't advance to Week 11 tonight, though, could we wait until Monday night to advance to Week 12? I'd rather not roll the dice with a sim more than once, if possible.
 
Azu and I were having troubles connecting earlier today and supposedly being unable to fix them (NAT issues and was unable to change them) our game may need to be simmed. Haven't heard back from Azu though so not sure if he's working on trying to fix it or not.

I tried to go through everything, but I couldn't fix it. I'm not sure if its totally random since I've never dealt with this before. It's always open or moderate.

You won, and we both lost valuable players to injury!
 
That is strange. Not sure if I mentioned in one of the PMs or not, but from a chart I saw, even if we were both on Moderate, it should of worked. Odd it happened out of nowhere though.

As for the match, I noticed I won, but missed the injuries. Not sure which of your two guys got injured in that game (or if it was both or just one), but for me, the injury doesn't (on paper) seem to hurt me too much. Sure losing MJD isn't good, but Leon Washington is serviceable and I liked having Javon Ringer when playing as the redskins last season. Plus I have Peyton. :razz: As for my safety, he was already injured early in the season.

Hopefully we can get a shot to face each other though in the future. Need to give you your last human opponent. ;)
 
Not sure we plan to advance, but I don't see me getting my game until Friday evening sometime. I started a paper route this morning, and with that starting, being out most of the day today, and an interview tomorrow morning, not sure when I'll feel like playing it.

Just to give an idea, I'll be out between 3 and 6 am doing my route, and my interview is at 10 am. I plan to take a two hour nap real soon, and another nap before the interview, and I might just go straight to bed after the interview. Let's say I go to bed at midnight, I don't see myself waking up anytime before 6, so yeah...
 
gg again Xxxplosive. much closer than the score suggests. I actually couldn't get in the endzone in the first half at all until that one breakaway play by Donald Lee (still can't believe he outran everyone for that long lol). Brees was throwing a lot of ducks though.

Gotcha again this week n8. My schedule's all over the place right now, so just pick a time (I'm on EST), and it should be good. Only times that aren't are 7-10 pm both sunday and monday, and if we did real late, we'd have to start before midnight (I leave for my temp job around 1:30 am or so).

Found out I might have to go clothes shopping (unsure when, but supposedly tomorrow when talking to my mom earlier). If you can do 9AM - 12PM, I might get that to work. Otherwise, not sure when will work.

Yeah, I won't be around that early. And by the looks of it, seen is wanting to advance by tomorrow night. My personal beef with this is a 48 hour turnaround is a little ridiculous when there are multiple human vs human games. Week 11 had 3 full days. I'm all for trying to move the league along quickly, but at least give people a chance to line their schedules up. Advancing just cause you feel like it doesn't help anybody. It's not like we haven't been communicating.

I really want to play this game too because it's an important divisional match up and a pretty big rematch considering how the first game went. If we're not given a real opportunity to play it, I'll probably be dropping from the league and trading Madden in. There's no sense in hanging around just to have my future decided for me.
 
When 2 people go back and forth in postings instead of pm'ing and appear to be at odds for figuring out a time, I can only assume there are issues getting the game scheduled.

I know you are both usually great about getting your games in; N8 & JStryke if you can give me a definitive date/time it will be played I can delay it.
 
Hey seen, just wanted to let you know that I will definitely be playing my game tomorrow night around 9:00 EST. Like I mentioned before, I am currently out of town and have been for the past few days.

Where do you come up with "at odds"? I suggested a time. He thought he was going to be able to do it. As you can see, it seems like JStryke has had something come up (although it's kinda sad that he can still be "made" to go clothes shopping), but we're still trying to work something out. As of right now, it's been barely 24 hours since you advanced from week 11.

If I didn't know better, I'd think you were in a hurry to try to get 2 seasons of your league done before Azu completes one season in his league. Like I said, I'm all for keeping things moving. But Jesus Christ, you're giving us one day to work out a time and one day to play. It's not like I've got anything else going on (and it's not like you haven't gotten busy and left the league dormant for 4-5 days before).

For a time, early morning won't work apparently. How about 10pm tonight?
 
Hey my game might have to be simulated against the computer this week, my roommate broke my Madden and is going to get me a used copy today around 6pm, ill hop online as soon as he comes home with the game.

Ah, that makes sense. I think it was just the way you worded it. It was like "My mom said I have to go clothes shopping", which was odd, lol. Anyway, congrats on getting the job. And yeah, 10pm should be fine.
