gg seen, i was screaming at that lob to Keller in the endzone. I dunno how he got so open but the guy covering Boldin (I think it was Boldin) must've been in m2m because he would only watch that softball fall gently into Keller's hands! haha. anyways, great game, I was sweating after you scored and went down by only 7, but luckily I held on. looking forward to the Super Bowl.

You moved the ball really well on my defense, but they responded with some big plays by generating 4 interceptions, one returned for a touchdown. +3 in the turnover differential was the difference in the game.

Giants advance to the Super Bowl.
 
Sorry about the playoff's. We did try to play twice on Friday but the lag was terrible. The weekend I had unexpected company. should have jumped on here but I thought we could link up. Sorry again guys!

I might be dropping out, at least temporarily. Moving is on the horizon (still unsure of exactly when), plus my gold just expired this past weekend, so I might just stay silver until after the move. Haven't decided on that yet.
 
Bigat, let me know when you want to play. I'm available all day tomorrow. Could do after mnf possibly too.

Edit: and seen I'm definitely in for another. I'd like to keep these teams though.
 
Mailed my game off today. So, I'm out. I liked my team, but like I said, I'm not beating the top guys. There are a few guys here who are just head and shoulders above everybody else skill wise. It's a huge credit to them that they've gotten THAT good at Madden, but after a couple years of having the same 2-3 guys contending for the title, the appeal starts to fade. This isn't a knock on those guys in any way. I just know I'll never beat you, lol :)
 
I was planning to trade in the game after this season, but I really like my team. I will stick around for at least one more season. The only caveat is that I will probably need to have a few games simmed over the holidays.
 
gg BigAT. I still cannot believe that last pick. It slipped through Cribs hands and your guy somehow caught it. I think I'm still in shock over that. I was looking forward to OT or at least a 2 minute drill from you with the score tied, but Cribs had other plans I guess. Essentially 2 WR screen plays killed me. great game though.
 
Giants Hold On To Win Second Consecutive Superbowl

The Giants shot out to an early 14-0 lead, but the Browns held things together and were able to put up 12 unanswered points of their own. The Browns eventually managed to secure the lead after Frank Gore busted a crazy 78 yard touchdown run. It was short lived however, as less than a minute later Santana Moss took a quick screen pass 54 yards down the field for a touchdown. New York was able to convert the two point conversion, giving them a 7 point lead with 3:32 left.

Cleveland was successfully driving down the field for the tying touchdown, when Josh Cribbs was unable to secure a pass and the ball bounced off of his hands. Nnamdi Asomugha deftly snatched the ball out of the air and fell to the ground with the incredible, instantly important interception. Let's go to the video tape! New York was able to run out the remainder of the clock and secure the victory as well as the Lombardi Trophy. The win allows the Giants' preprinted 19-0 shirts to actually get used, unlike the Patriots' ones that are currently being worn by children in third world countries.

As of now, I'm planning to come back for another season. Part of me would like to do another draft because simply, I really enjoy doing that aspect of it. It would also allow us to condense the human teams more, which I would prefer. Beating up on the CPU gets old kind of quickly. Then again, I really like the team I put together this year and would love to see how they progress.
 
The draft was such a headache. I think as we sat in the draft room an hour into it we all sort of agreed to never do that again haha. it would be nice to do some rearranging though, so maybe if some people aren't too attached to their drafted teams and want to switch divisions we can do that to get the most games play among humans. i guess it really depends who is leaving and what everything looks like going into the off season.
 
Im down for a draft, being that i wasn't here for the first one, or if you needed people to switch divisions i don't mind either, I just like to play the game with whoever. I also have a friend that is interested in joining if that is possible, he is a member on CAGs, and he has been on the site since about July.
 
I'm not really in the mood to re-draft; if anything I'd be willing to let people change teams but I'd also make sure their players switch to the new team as well.
 
I have absolutely no interest in re-drafting. Drafting is fun, but it's also a pain in the ass, and we have already done it twice.
 
So when is the rookie draft going to be?

People may want to save the stats for their team before we advance to the offseason to see how your team progresses/regresses. I hope we advance to that point soon, I'm curious to see how my team does. I think there should be basically nothing but improvement for next year!
 
As the title now states, the rookie draft will be held tomorrow evening at 9pm EST. I look forward to us having another great season after we finish the off-season activities.
 
Might as well copy what I said for the other Madden league's draft, as it's equally valid here:

BY THE WAY, THIS IS IMPORTANT.

You should probably write down who is on your team before the draft starts. The game will automatically cut your 7 lowest rated players to make room for your incoming draft class, so make sure you know who you had in case you want to pick them back up afterwards.
 
Adewale Ogunleye was my most significant drop, I think he went from 81 to 75. I guess I'll be looking for some D-line help tonight.
 
Ugh, I may need to go on a temporary leave. My system is showing signs of E74 error. It's only bad for L4D2, so maybe it'll be okay for Madden (it was okay for Fallout 3, not enough for me to want to play it for hours but a quick game would be fine). With that said, it looks like i'll be MIA until I get the box back. I'm hoping to reach someone tomorrow so I can send it out asap (not sure of the procedure though for the E74s).

Anyways, I'll keep you guys updated. Next week I will be available as I'll be visiting family and should have no problem popping on my brother's if I need to get a h2h game in. I'm probably not going to sweat vs CPU games though so plan on simming them until I'm officially back.
 
Sorry to hear that ubernes hopefully you'll rejoin us soon. Also in that same type of news I hope they've repaired Xxxplosive1's console so he can come back as well.

I finally got the email that they are shipping it back today. Its in Memphis now so i should have it no later then Friday.
 
Just had a great game with Mr Grand Cru. It was definitely a game of defense, with Eli Manning and Jay Cutler both finishing the game with multiple interceptions and sub-50 passer ratings. Chris Johnson stole the show with 140 rushing yards, 80 of which came on a first quarter touchdown run.

Titans win 14-10.
 
Btw my xbox is officially shipped off. I'll be able to play next week so I'll keep an eye on the thread for h2hs but if it's before Monday you'll have to boot me so the game can be played.
