We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.

There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

Opposing Force CD-keys cannot be registered through Steam. Opposing Force was included in a retail Half-Life package. The Half-Life CD-key included in the package will unlock all of the games in that package, including Opposing Force.

I got 2 lumps of coal and a 50% Valve coupon.

The one thing that's bothering me right now is that the inventory is really slow to update after trades. I hope that gets fixed soon.

Are there any other fixes for the empty inventory glitch? I don't have TF2 or Portal 2 installed and don't have enough time to download and install them before leaving for work. I can log into Steam via web browser on my lunch break before the sale ends at 1:00, though.

Spiral Knight works too, and it's a smaller download if you want to try that (around 300 mb I think).
 
Apparently I got the 25% of Valve games and Foreign Legion...and also the Druids DLC for King Arthur...and nearly all the civ DLCs for Civ V. From one objective?

If I remember correctly, took me about 9 hours to beat. Some of the puzzles were challenging, imo. People claim to do 2 hour speed runs, but at that point your not enjoying the game and you probably already know how to figure everything out.

You would think after all these years Valve would finally got the server load figured out. I mean the Thanksgiving sale went relatively smoothly compared to other years, so I had hopes they wouldn't jack anything up on this one. I haven't had any problems but I did miss the first 18 hours so.

Picked up so far:

Pendulo Adventure Pack - $12.50
Delve Deeper + DLC - $1.35
Faerie Solitare - $1.00

I put $50 in my wallet for the sale. It is not a good sign that I have already spent $15 of it in the first day.
 
Also decided to pick up Pendulo Adventure Pack. I need more adventure games like a hole in the head, but it was a good price and I expect I will get to it eventually.
 
All right, I bought Orcs Must Die and got the achievement this morning. After getting the achievement, my gift count caught up and now I have three. 50% off Rock of Ages, 33% of Valve, and a lump of coal.

EDIT: Also, I highly recommend Orcs Must Die, it's a hell of a lot of fun. Almost made me late to work.

Yea, I had picked this up during the Thanksgiving sale and had yet to boot it up. I was glad I did. That is what the achievement hunt will do for me - persuade me to try out games I have yet to get to. I won't buy any games just to get them though, I know I am not going to win anything.
 
I've never really used Steam before, I only have an account because Deus Ex made me make one, but I'm definitely getting in on some of these deals. Is the website login down for anyone else? I'm at work and I'm trying to log in to get some games before the deals expire. It's the first time I've logged in on this computer so I got the email, put in my code and it's been logging in for 10 minutes with a spinning wheel.

Took me a half second, try again and make sure you don't have any kind of javascript/ad blockers.
 
After loading my inventory up in TF2 it showed me my missing third item, coal.

The coal is still better then my free Dino D-Day though.
 
My brother's inventory was glitched as well after speaking with him this morning. Whether he logged in via the webpage or the client, still didn't show anything. I logged in as him on my PC and his inventory then fixed. I haven't kept up with the thread to know if trying another PC has been mentioned but it did fix his.

Both are great games. Metro really shines on higher end PCs though.
 
Just saw Dark Void for $2.99 and Dark Void Zero $0.99, and for those prices they probably won't be daily deals. I've heard many thing about Dark Void, some say mediocre, others underrated. Any thoughts?
 
Tried the portal and tf2 trick still only a 33% off valve coupon for me. scratch that 3 pieces of Coal just showed up for me.
 
Got Just Cause 2 for $4.99, plus a bunch of the DLC for $0.25 a piece. Really wish I had a gaming rig so I could play it on Max settings...

Anyone know if Amnesia would run pretty good on a 2 yr HP laptop?

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/intro.aspx Just type Amnesia and run the applet. It will analyze the hardware in your laptop and show you whether you can run the game, and how well. Great lil site.
 
Does anyone know how to get back to the old method of managing gifts and guestpasses on steam? It always takes me to the Inventory screen. The Inventory screen doesnt tell me who I sent a gift to.

Well, I only had a 25% off coupon, so I tried the TF2 fix. My inventory is now showing a few TF2 items that weren't showing before but no extra gift.
 
Finally got my items to show up. 33% off a Valve game, and 50% off The Wonderful End of the World. Yay?

Ah well, maybe I can find someone to trade them with. Anyone want either?

When you're looking at your inventory in the Steam client, there will be a little thing in the top right corner that says Pending Gifts (0). It's there when you look through the website too. Mine always says zero, but if you click on it you'll see the list of gifts you've emailed out and their status.
