We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.

There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

Opposing Force CD-keys cannot be registered through Steam. Opposing Force was included in a retail Half-Life package. The Half-Life CD-key included in the package will unlock all of the games in that package, including Opposing Force.
Note: Only the retail games listed above can be registered through Steam. No other retail games can be registered and downloaded using Steam.

DoD is referring to Dungeons of Dredmore in this instance.
 
Only Psychonauts so far for me. I had actually never really heard of it nor did it spark my interest the last few times it's been on sale but within the last week three of my gamer friends talked about it, in three separate conversations. I figured that was a sign and hell, it was just $2.50. I'm having fun with it so far! Even got the Christmas achievements for it. :D

So far I've gotten one coal, a couple of crappy coupons, and Deus Ex GOTY from the achievements. Not toooo bad.

It would be slightly more productive if he mentioned which game he was talking about. (I assume he's talking about Dreadmor, which isn't bad for what it is.)

I believe it was Psychonauts, but I could be wrong; Grammatically speaking, it's proper to identify which item from a list is being addressed. (Even if that means using the same word twice in a single sentence.)

Whatever the case may be, I'm not too worried about it - Those were meant as joke posts more than anything else. (Though I would like to see CAG's acting more civil. Still, we're more behaved than other forums I've been to.)

Man, I already have Costume Quest on PSN, but don't have the dlc and have Psychonauts on cd, but have barely played it. I see that Psychonauts is supposedly going to have 2 achievements and CQ is going to have 1. So tempted to buy the pack. I think it's like the same cost as the CQ dlc on PSN right now.

In case anyone is on the fence about Dungeons of Dredmor, i bought it last night thinking i'd only play it for whatever time it took to get the achievement..I ended up playing it for the majority of the evening. I know some here have said it's a little daunting to get into and understand but as a fan of nethack, I found it immediately understandable(and far more forgiving!)

For $1.24(or a little under $2 with the DLC) you are getting a competent roguelike with better graphics and lots of variety in classes and gameplay. If you like roguelike dungeon crawls at all, I can't recommend it enough! Lots of fun and definitely my favorite indie purchase so far.

It is good. Maybe not as good as NWN 1, but still quite good. Plus it comes with both of the expansions and Mask of the Betrayer is supposed to be very good, if not on par with the original NWN.

Clear sky is the worst of the series, and Pripyat is the best.

I loved them, but honestly they are more STALKER games, they don't drastically change the formula. If you liked STALKER you will like them.

So I was looking at my wishlist, and I saw that Rage is $15. Apparently that'll only last 27 hours according to the timer on the game's store page. Unless I'm missing something major, it's not a daily deal that's listed on the storefront is it? Or am I going crazy?
 
I won a copy of Swords & Soldiers! It wasn't high up on my wishlist but the price was right, plus I get a chance at another prize today.

These coupons are terrible. I wish I could trade them for coal or turn seven of them into a different coupon. 33% off any Valve game, 33% off of Dungeon Siege III (which I own) and 50% off the Shadowgrounds pack (which I own).
 
I just got a free copy of Nimbus, which I already own and is pretty fun. Would anyone be willing to trade for another game?

I'd love to trade it for a copy of Defense Grid with the dlc.
