We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.

There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

Opposing Force CD-keys cannot be registered through Steam. Opposing Force was included in a retail Half-Life package. The Half-Life CD-key included in the package will unlock all of the games in that package, including Opposing Force.
Note: Only the retail games listed above can be registered through Steam. No other retail games can be registered and downloaded using Steam.

Rule of thumb: Always wait till the last day of the sale if you're buying something that isn't a daily deal.

was going to get Duke Nukem Forever for consoles, but I figured I'd just get the Steam version and save $4...
 
I see about 5 games on my wishlist that are already in a good sale pricerange.
I imagine a few dailies will pop up to trick me into buying stuff I don't have time to play, and then I just have to remember what else I want to buy on Sunday night.
 
I already have Orcs Must Die, Duke Nukem Forever, Oddworld Collection, and both Mass Effect games. :(

Gundemonium Collection is 50% off, making all three shooters $1.87 apiece. That's not too bad. Where are my Indie Bundles, Steam? :(

Is the DLC for Orcs Must Die worth the money?

Just checking before I check out for the day. Gonna grab that. Maybe Sequence because if it drops, it's only $1 and I am not going to complain over losing $1.

I will however wait on Chantalise.

I was disappointed to see the reviews for Chantelise are low. Metacritic is like 66.

No and no. Wait for a daily deal. Fallout 3 GOTY will easily hit $10. Hopefully the NV DLC will see a discount, too.
 
Just going to throw my thoughts in about Orcs Must Die! for those of you on the fence.

For 3.75, I wholeheartedly recommend it. I was initially put off by the lack of multiplayer considering titles in a similar vein (Sanctum, Dungeon Defenders) have that. But the game works without it. You gain a new tower, weapon, or some spin on the gameplay every mission through the campaign that keeps it fresh, and I really don't think the game would benefit from extra players. A lot of the missions rely on not being able to be 2 places at once, so not having friends keeps it difficult.

As for the DLC, I don't know much about it but I'll probably pick it up. Couldn't be that bad for a buck and change.

I was thinking NV for $30 wasn't that great but I wasn't sure about F3. I guess I'll wait.
 
Think it'll just be Orcs Must Die & the DLC for me today. Gotta spend some time looking through the other games and see what I need to add to my wishlist/to buy at the end of the sale list

It was included in one of the Indie bundles last year for $1. And it came out last year.

I'm patiently waiting for more Indie bundles, which are my favorite things in any Steam sale. $1 each for five games, with gems like Recettear thrown in along the way? That's what I call value. :D
 
Only way Delve Deeper could be cheaper is: 1) Part of a Steam package (though you'd obviously have to hope you want the other games) or 2) Part of a indie Humble/Royale bundle.

Well, Cyber Monday is growing in popularity. BUT Steam Sales usually die at 10AM on the day AFTER. So... you have AT WORST, until 10AM on Monday.

yes, usually, but my splash screen says 27th, so that means it should end on the 28th at 11 am MST.
 
Oh man, a lot of my wishlist games are on sale, this can't be good. Here's the games I want to get all under $10. I guess I will wait until the last day to buy some of these if they don't go daily deal. I just hope for no price increases like in the past.

Also just saw Morrowind at 50% off ($9.99) hope to see it as a daily deal this week.
 
Dungeon Defender's 4-pack is 22.49 which puts it at about $5.63 per copy. That is right in the sweet zone. I will wait for a daily deal but :) :) :)

I got the 28th from the Assassins Creed 2 page, it says:

I'm going to wait to see if it becomes a daily deal. I will definitely be buying a 4-pack I just don't know how many copies my friends will claim before I open it up to the public.
 
My wish list is taunting me. Gonna be tough to stay strong but hopefully I can distract myself with orcs must die and the fact that tomorrow is thanksgiving to help :D .
 
Unreal Tournament 3 Black is $4.99. That's my buy it price on it which I bought.

So now I own the Unreal Anthology and Unreal Tournament 3 which means I own almost all of the Unreal Games :D

Not that I know of. I own the Oddworld Pack from awhile back and still waiting on my HD textures.
 
Man, I'm a little paranoid about some of the games in my wishlist pulling a Terraria by decreasing the discount. Capsized is 75% off and so is Galactrix. Should I wait?

Also, Resident Evil 5, Sideway New York and Jade Empire aren't discounted. That sucks.
