We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

Several multiplayer Steam games are available in 2-packs or 4-packs. These packs offer a discount over buying multiple copies of a game separately. We also maintain group buy trade threads for several games, so please use those threads if you're interested in setting up a group buy.

There are several free games and mods on Steam. These are a few choice ones; you can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

Steam Retail Key List

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

Opposing Force CD-keys cannot be registered through Steam. Opposing Force was included in a retail Half-Life package. The Half-Life CD-key included in the package will unlock all of the games in that package, including Opposing Force.
Note: Only the retail games listed above can be registered through Steam. No other retail games can be registered and downloaded using Steam.

I could swear the only PC game I pretty much wanted ever was 75% off... and then suddenly it's 50 (which it was yesterday) What's a terrible daily deal.

I know no harm is intended but it's not the right place nor is anywhere on CAG as they are pwyw bundles.
 
Sorry, I deleted the post. You can remove the quote as well if you want. For what it was worth I won SpaceChem from the great gift pile today, not through the Frozenbyte bundle.
 
Is anyone else's steam client messed up? For whatever reason every time I open it I do not have the tabs saying "Library" and such at the top and my friends list doesn't shown the name's of my friends just the icon. Also whenever a pop up comes up from steam its just the box with no words. Has anyone ever had this problem?

There should be an option for that at the bottom after you choose Gift. I do that for most of the games I've bought.

Yup, purchase it as a gift and it'll be stored in your Steam inventory. If you decide to keep it, gift it to the email address tied to your Steam account, check your email and accept the gift. ;) Bang!

Actually I think you now have the option to go into your Steam inventory and "unpack" the gift, much easier.

First day I got AVP and 50% off Amnesia and Valve Game.. Then 2 straight days of coal.. However turned my luck around with those 7 coal and crafted Morrowind GOTY. So you never know what that coal might actually get you. I actually really enjoy this promo, hopefully people abusing it with HiBs and what not make Valve shy away from promos like this.

I love steam sales in general for the awesome prices, however the free stuff is just icing on the cake.

I remember what I had to do to get into the group: Awkwardly invite random people who were online from the group and ask for an invite. After about an hour, got someone and he made me have a casual conversation with him for about an hour, like we were old friends or something lol. I didn't mind it, and we're still friends to this day, but damn lol.

I wouldn't want anyone else have to go through that awkwardness. Just invite me and request an invite, I'll be happy to oblige.

Thank you. I'm going to start doing that with games I'm not 100% sure I'm going to play. I have a lot of games(even excluding HB junk) that I bought on a whim that I will never play. I would rather use them in trades or just gift them than have them cluttering up my library.

Man, not having good luck with this sale.

Almost bought Payday and JP, but after reading reviews, I decided to not buy them. Honestly, they both look ok, but for only 50% off? The only reason I would have bit on them is for the winter achievement, but I've given up trying to get good stuff from it. Heck, knowing my luck I'd get the game that I just bought!

However, Neverwinter Nights 2 has been on my wish list since forever, so that's a purchase. And after looking into the Sherlock Holmes games, I think I'll pick that up too.

That's the final straw- I'm keeping my coal. I spent a frustrating hour playing Beat Trip Beat for a piece of coal. There is no way I'm cashing in my coal for the chance to win a coupon for Kane and Lynch.

Thank you - a bit frustrating but I keep getting in that mode: "no way the next one will be coal." My first gift was Portal 2 but nothing but coal afterwards. Also, my wife has a steam account as well and she's gotten 3 coal and one 50% off valve coupon. We're not a very lucky family I guess.
 
I'm probably the only person happy with all of his coupons. Two for publishers with games in my wishlist, one for half off a game that I'd like that goes super cheap often, and one for a game that I'd like to play and has a sequel coming out next year. If any of them go on sale during the coupon period I'll most likely pick them up.

Well, hot damn! My apologies, good sir, and might I add a thank you for showing me that again. I read it earlier, but it didn't sink in lol. That changes the coupons entirely.

It's $10 now, and when you buy it, you get two activations to give away, and whoever receives a gift one gets another gift one to give away. Interesting deal.

Not really. Because you can't use these coupons until AFTER the sale is over.
