We appreciate you helping keep this thread up to date. The sales change virtually every day so no one person has the time to update them all. If you notice a game is no longer on sale, feel free to delete its line from the sale list. Of course, if you see a game is on sale, add it to the list. Make sure your changes match the thread's format! For example, every game that's on sale is part of an unordered list. When adding a game to the list, copy an existing line and update the link, title, and prices. That way, the format stays correct. Do not list percentages off! We list the original price and the sale price here. If you have any suggestions for major changes to the post/thread, PM me (EastX) about them.

What is a CD key and where can I find it?

The CD Key is a serial number with a combination of 13, 18, or 25 letters and numbers - it can be found on a sticker inside your game's case or printed on the game's quick reference card.
The CD Key acts as your proof of purchase for the game - Steam Support may ask for it if you need to establish your ownership of an account. It is recommended that you keep your CD Key in a safe place to ensure the security of your account.

I was really wanting to buy Postal 2 when I saw it come out on steam. I bought back shortly after release and I had a lot of fun with it.


I'm hoping the price will drop down during the winter sale or black friday times.

Maybe.. Maybe not. This is from the Steam page:

The game has you managing a settlement on top of an active dungeon. Instead of playing the hero who delves deep into the dungeon, how about playing the town that houses and caters to the hero's needs?
Both the RPG and strategic aspects will be fleshed out over a series of sprawling dungeons.
 
The original Doom 3 is back on Steam, by the way.

It's $9.99 now, and the expansion is $4.99, and there's a bundle where they're both $12.99.

I feel like this is half the price they used to sell for, but I don't have any hard source to confirm that.

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to bite on that price, too. Honestly lowest I ever see it dropping is $5 (unless like a year from now they stick it in an indie bundle like their past titles) and even that will take a while. I doubt it gets lower than $10 during Steam sales. Maaaaaaaaaybe there will be some crazy discount to be had with Amazon's $5 credits like they did last year but that's a bit of a gamble.

Gamestop is US, right? So hopefully Tony price matches.
 
I really really liked Serious Sam 3. Bought it during the Holiday Sale last year and played it right away and had a blast. It looks gorgeous and ran smooth. The last 1/3 of the last level got a bit long in tooth but otherwise it was a great game and I recommend it.
 
Just to be the negative voice, SS3 was mindless and dull in my opinion. I think none of the series is worthwhile but SS:TSE is still much more worthwhile than SS3 if you absolutely must, and that you'll likely see $2.50

i'm sad about wii U. Everyones getting one (cept me) God it looks so NEW and shiny! and the same. All these unboxings and game reviews.
I just need to stay strong and think backlog backlog backlog and winter sale. I can wait 6 months to 1 year. In 1 year the library will still be absolutely fledgling. Maybe for Nintendo's past sins I will be the lucky one who gets the price drop.
(However I always buy consoles and get burned waiting for games to play for EVA) (See Wii && Double Triple Burn on 3DS) I am STILL waiting for my flipping animal crossing.

I took part in the promotion, registered and PM'ed Toploader on the RWS forums, got a key, and it's already been redeemed. Super cool. Now I have to PM him back and try to get another. Always my luck.

Not including the gimmicky titles like Random Encounter and Double D they all sort of pretty much play the same. I'd say The Second Encounter (HD) is the best of the older lot. Serious Sam 2 is a bit different, less challenging, more colorful, and the levels are a bit smaller as it is limited by XBox design but I had fun with it. Probably the only other two I'd recommend.
 
Not sure if the running backwards and shooting thing sounds all that appealing to me but how is the multiplayer in that game? At $6 I'm tempted.

Only reason I preordered one is no clue when Nintendo will get more stock in and I want to just have it and not worry about finding one sometime. That said, I am using almost all of spending cash for this for the end of the year to buy a Wii-U (spending cash as in non x-mas gifts and cash spent out with my GF).

Luckily my Steam backlog is so deep that I will only be taking really fucking good sales from now on on Steam.
 
The new Indie Royale is pretty weak, considering Spirits was already in a Humble Bundle, and Avernum was in something else (Groupees?).

Still worth $4 though, and I hear Mutant Mudds is actually pretty good, and it's on Greenlight.

True, but I believe you had to BTA to get Spirits, so you had to pay an additional $4 or so just to get it in the Humble Bundle (ends up being cheaper in IR). I mostly got it for Pineapple Smash Crew, Spirits, and Mutant Mudds.

Thanks for the Serious Sam 3 info, purchased. This was my first time using Impulse, so a few things to share with others who haven't used it before either:

1. My Gamestop Power-up Rewards card got me 10% off the sale price
2. You have to install the Gamestop App to get your key (if someone knows how to get the key without this, please let me know)
 
Moderate interest in Pineapple Smash and Avernum, but compared to the IR and Groupees from two weeks ago, it's too weak for me to justify picking up.

The only game that mildly interests me is pineapple smash crew, and it's not enough to push me to consider buying.

Could it be a mobile line-up maybe? Android? Most of those titles have been bundled before.

I know waking mars was confirmed. The others seem likely being that its an android bundle.

Kind of a let down IMO. Nothing really stands out to me. Might toss in a $1 but not interested in beating the average.
