By the way, my personal policy of "liking" a post is when a post is something that I find helpful, or something that I agree with, or that I find humorous. Another sure-fire way to get a like out of me is if somebody has done something for another CAG, or displayed some form of generosity.

I bring this up because i occasionally remember some post from days past that fits into one of these categories. Case in point, Draekon's great steam gift giveaway a year and a half ago. I just tracked down that thread and gave him a few likes. Anybody who remembers that, and got something from him might wanna think about doing the same.
So you're the reason I got flooded with notifications.

Also, I don't really need anything. Give it to people who do.

Why are people so anti-Alice: MR? It's a solid game that suffers from some bugs and drags on for too long. It's still easily worth $5, if not only for the art style and American McGee's craziness.
Actually I wasn't being anti-Alice, personally I love the franchise ... She's badass ... I guess it was just a failed attempt at humor ... He 'grabbed' Alice ... Now he needs Surgeon Simulator to put himself back together again ... 'cause she's crazy ... You know, like Asheskitty

Ah, okay. Went right over my head.

I'd be more terrified of Ashes though, if I wasn't a ginger. I'm pretty sure that she'll kill us last.

My girlfriend forced me to play Alice: Madness Returns. It was a decent platformer with great art design. I didn't care for the story, and chapters / game structure seemed to get really repetitive. I think it was probably a solid 6.5-7/10 game. For me, what that game seemed like it needed was more boss fights and maybe change up the mission structure of the new areas so I don't feel like I'm playing Assassin's Creed 1 all over again.

Sold a Triple Town foil some time ago and made $30 from it after fees. Still have some $45+ worth of foils/cards/backgrounds to sell, so I'm ready for the summer sale :bouncy:

Well, my dad works at Valve and he can totally get me any foil I want for free.

I'm just kidding, I don't think you're lying but it does sound like you got pretty shaq-ing lucky.

The real question is why isn't this other jank stuff sold already!
I just got all that stuff recently (last 2 days) and barely had time tonight to research, list and sell everything I had. I've been very lucky with foil and rare/expensive items thus far. Made a good profit while still being able to level up!

I played this game on PS3 earlier today, I'm only 3 hours in but I like what I played of it so far, very solid platfomer, combat is a bit repetitive but I don't mind it since the enemies are very easy to kill for the most part

So, this is tomorrow's big surprise: :whee:

BtOLqQ0.jpg
that looks legit

I ended up crafting badges with both my Dredmor and my Ion Assault cards. Ended up spending about .80 per badge to complete the sets (~.75 for Ion and ~.90 for Dredmor). I'm only a little ashamed to admit I did it partially because I wanted to have a few Mystery cards in case they end up at all worthwhile. Now I have three. Feeling ready.

I'm also about 75% through McPixel (100% everything) and Ion Assault (Just making it through the main campaign).

So these particular card additions have actually helped me work on my backlog.

Your wish has been granted, well soon...! I'm excited for both cards and Steam Workshop. Man, I love that game. I'm a sucker for pretty much anything Co-op and Tower Defense. :bouncy:

I'd just like to say that Steam Workshop for this game is absolutely useless.

All it provides are weapon/trap mods/cheats. Why do I say this? They allow texture editing and even provide the tools to do so, however the textures/UV maps are all over the place it's nearly impossible to edit them fully. If they provided a program to edit the models so we can add on our on UV maps, it'd be ALOT better/easier, but I'm staying away from modding this game. Almsot no point.

Unfortunate =/. Perhaps it'll improve over time? I appreciate the heads up though as it'll keep my excitement in check.

Made $7.88 total off Drunken Robot Pornography game, not a bad little profit, considering a foil can always be dropped. Maybe I'll look into buying other games just for the cards if i can get more Gaben bucks then the actual game cost... All hail the card game!

Well now I'm going to have track down Motoki's post where he introduced us to Coconut Queen. That was just short of epic and deserves a like or two.

Be sure to post it if you find it.

If memory serves, Motoki didn't actually find Coconut Queen. Motoki's just the guy who made it a thing.

That's probably worth a like, but it wont really be something you can track back to a single post by Motoki. More like a series of posts.
Don't mean to brag, and I definitely won't apologize, but this is where Coconut Queen started:

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/281982-the-steam-deal-thread-v3-summer-sale-live-from-712-722-check-op-for-tips/page-317#entry9583646

If we never get Half-Life 3, at least we have Coconut Queen.

I made $6.42 off my drops, but I also bought up some massive undercutter's cards and made $1.38 off selling those, so I made $7.80 total off Drunken Robot Pornography. Naturally Zoey bought all of my cards (and Fox's cards... and Stupidproz' cards... and everyone else's... all at once).

As for the game, it's interesting. A Portal looking fast paced crazy FPS with solid graphics but a rather shallow setup where you choose which boss you want to fight (the game is all boss battles), then you fight a bunch of little enemies, rack up points, then the boss comes out and you blast the shit out of them.

As shallow and odd as it is, it's funny and unique. I'm liking it, AND it's Steam Workshop enabled, so that's cool.

I have a flight to catch tomorrow evening. Hope I don't miss anything important. ;)

Goodbye, thread. Won't be able to stay caught up for the next several days.

^_^ Which reminds me of time spend watching an old constipated elephant defecate, he was rocking and swaying and really not having a good time.
So this is what happens when someone doesn't own a television.

At least not to three.

On the other hand, if you're actually looking to buy cards, the next few hours is clearly the time to do so.
I decided to collect the rest of the Dredmor cards. It's definitely a buyer's market tonight. Did well selling my Ion Assault cards, though. I got three of what turned out to be the most expensive one.

Is this a game?

I watched those religiously (almost literally religiously).

My diploma-mill's theology class doesn't recognize your religion. Please enlighten please.

Going on two hours with no inventory. Steam is so awesome. Never any issues. groan groan groan...

I dislike the Steam client more than the free-to-play Steam clients. Obnoxious.

Gabe's overt card-racket seems successful enough to afford a new one.

Oh man! I have the urge to gamble on Drunken Robot Pornography!

Wait... that doesn't sound right.

Ah fuck it! I'm hosting a 3-pack for DRP on Steam. Join me and ignore rather helpful colorful pictures with sage advice like this:

Edit: (32 minutes later) This drawing convinced me to lay off my DRP hosting fixation. Whew, that was a close call.

Meh, broke down and finished my Super Meat Boy set. Turns out I had 4 more Offspring Fling drops to get, so I suppose that covers it almost, and now I get to be part of the Mystery Card Club, but still feels rather silly.

If it was $5, I'd do it. I can't pull the trigger since I'd basically just be converting Paypal to Steam wallet.

how do u check the ids of ur cards again?
You have to install the Steamdb user script via grease monkey on Firefox (or I assume via another method depending on the browser). Wonder if I can check since I have it installed if your inventory is public.

Edit:

I can, you have:

Yeah I don't blame you. In fact it's one of my more ill-conceived thoughts lately. Argh, I really wish there was a :ziplip: button.
