This is why we say time and time again that usually you should only pay attention to the daily deals and flash sales.
After looking at the persistent deals, I totally agree. I want to get Xcom and Far Cry 3 so hopefully they will be in a flash deal or a daily deal.

Can someone give me a good comparison to what game Dishonored is like? If this game wins the community vote I plan on checking it out. Oh and how good of a pc port is it? Thanks!
Oh boy, it's a lot of things. It's kind of like a first person Assassin's Creed? With some Bioshock thrown in? It's hard to compare. But it's really fun especially if you like stealth games. And even if you don't you don't have to play it stealthily.

Is this a good price on Hotline Miami?
75% is the cheapest it's been but Amazon has the better deal. They've matched the $2.50 price plus 15% off with GOONCAVE making it $2.12.

Anyway, hope Deadpool gets a decent discount at some point. Been wanting to play it after watching a few videos.

Anyone thinks skyrim will be packed with dishonored and Lego star wars? Anyone thinks that pack would cost less than $5?Anyone thinks I should grab castle crashers at full price? Anyone thinks starcraft2 will be on sale? Anyone thinks Bad rats would get cards?

O M G

Just bought Skyrim myself so I'm really hoping this doesn't happen. But if it does... I'm out what $5-$10. Sucks but I know I'm getting my money's worth either way.
Always buy at a price you're comfortable with. Things will always get cheaper, but if you're happy with the price then it doesn't matter.

This is the best way to do it for sure because you also get three other indie games for free - The Maw (can be activated on Steam), Drip Drip, and Ticket to Ride (can also be activated on Steam). All for @2.12.

WARNING:

If you use a "new" payment method to fund your Steam wallet you will be locked out of the Community Market for a full week.  Wow, what total utter BS.

I used paypal to add some Steam Wallet back to my account since I used up most of mine hosting Defiance, and since I had not used paypal as a payment method before, I'm now locked out of the market until next Thursday.  Great job Valve.  A warning would have been nice then I would have just used my debit or walked across the street to 7/11.  And since Valve has such awesome customer service there's nothing I can do about it.

It's the closest living relative to the old Thief games, with magical powers added in. Highly recommended.

How will Defiance run on my AMD Phenom X4 at 2.8ghz and a GTX 660 with 8 gigs of ram?

The AMD Cpu sucks for other new MMOS like Tera, so does anyone have any experience with a similar build?

And while I'm sure many already use it, SteamGameSales is a good place to look for those persistent non-front page deals.  Sometimes the site gives me issues in Firefox, but it always loads fine in Chrome or maybe it's just me.

My turn to ask for opinions. Which of these do you think are worth the price/won't go lower and/or be bundled soon:

Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack - $7.99 $1.99

Your Doodles are Bugged! - $4.49 $1.12

Blocks That Matter - $4.99 $1.24

Snuggle Truck - $4.99 $1.49

Puzzle Bots - $4.99 $1.49

Puzzle Kingdoms - $14.99 $1.49

AudioSurf - $9.99 $2.49

Botanicula- $9.99 $2.49

Chantelise- $9.99 $2.49

To the Moon- $9.99 $2.49
To the Moon - somber but engaging story

Audio Surf - Great if you like using your music to engage in some mindless trekking

Puzzle Kingdoms - Fun RPG/match 3 hybrid

Blocks that Matter - Cute puzzle game

These are 4 games that I paid more than current price for and don't regret and I'm buying copies at this price as gifts!

For anybody going with Amazon's price matches, keep in mind that the GOONCAVE code is usable only one time per account. Would have saved it for Gunslinger had I known but life goes on...lol.

I don't think any of those will go lower. I've only played blocks that matter and audiosurf. Both are great, the first has cards

I disabled Steam Guard for a few minutes since it was too slow with the confirmation email, but now I can't sell any cardzzz for two weeks. :(

So I wound up with the Bioshock and the Tomb Raider card from my Mystery Cards. Not bad I guess since I made back all my money after crafting the Really Big Sky Badge.

The Background that I put up on the market sold for just over $4.00 and added a little bit of funds back into my wallet. I really didnt think it would sell for that much being just a background.

Very few do. Maybe one bg from every fourth game is worth more than $3 on the market.

That's fucked up. There's no way to withdraw that money? :argue:

Astute observation there. I sold a Blocks That Matter card 1 hour ago for $0.37 after fees. I'm selling 2 more now. Nice deal.

Cheap, my man, if you need any help buying stuff just pm me. After all the help with indie bundles, I'd be happy to help you out.

There are actually some pretty decent discounts on a lot of the items on my wishlist so I do have a good bit of things to purchase this sale. I am a bit surprised on the number of games that have no discount at all though. Hopefully some of them will show up as a daily at some point.

I didn't see this mentioned (other than Toki Tori 2) so here goes...

Coupons seem to stack with the sale prices. That is different than it has been in the past. I tested two that I had:

Forge 75% off (game already 50% off) comes to $2.50

Lunar Flight 75% off (game already 66% off) comes to $0.85

Botanicula- $9.99 $2.49

Chantelise- $9.99 $2.49

To the Moon- $9.99 $2.49
I'd say buy them all. They're not big enough to be featured as daily sales, so the 75% off on each of them is the best you're getting.

I would personally recommend To the Moon and Botanicula, along with Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack. Snuggle Truck is a gimmick and a waste of time.

For now, I'm considering Antichamber, but I think I can wait for it to go lower.

To the Moon- $9.99 $2.49
If you played Machinarium, Botanicula is a lot like that, but somewhat easier. I enjoyed it. As for To the Moon, I can't recommend it enough. I thought it was great. I got it in one of GOG's make-your-own-bundles, and it probably came out to about that price.

Alright I'm definitely picking up To the Moon. I'm probably going to wait till the end of the sale though, since there's no rush, to decide on any of the others. Thanks for the recommendations :D

Just checked out this summer getaway badge thing, I guess my plan will be to vote on the polls to earn cards and then purchase whatever I'm missing from the market after it's all over. Interesting way to earn a holiday sale badge.

Ooh, found another pretty good deal. Gyromancer for $2.03, although it's only 66% off, is the lowest it's ever been according to isthereanydeal. Any opinions on this one?

Don't know if this was mentioned or not, but for RPG fans:

Drakensang is $2.49

Drakensang: River of Time is $4.99

Both 75% off. That's the cheapest I've seen either

I've found some gems I'll post later. I'm looking at the Delta Force collection. I remember played 1 & 2 and were great

I havn't purchased any games since they introduced the steam wallet, does that mean if I try to buy anything exceeding my balance from selling cards that I'll be locked out of the market or is that only when specifically adding to your wallet? I usually use paypal though.
