There are quite a few free and free2play games and mods on steam. You can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

I enjoyed Ys Origin up until the sand boss. It was brutally hard. After 20-30 failed attempts to beat it I looked up a video to see what I was doing wrong. After watching the video, I laughed, then uninstalled the game. I don't have the youthful drive anymore and I know when to walk away from a fight. That game kicked my ass. I hear it is the easier one of the two also. So I will not be play YS:tOiF.
I got stuck in the same place. It was great fun up to that point.

ah hell, i went ahead and purchased gift copies of the ys games before the sale ended as trade bait because I know those might actually be useful to someone

Ehh . can't find a way to delete posts. Didnt realize it was Tomb Raider day so of course it has cards active now.

Heck yes, please vote for Incredipede everybody, I'd buy the crap outta that for $2.

Also, I'm thinking about Tomb Raider collection...in the scheme of things it's an excellent deal, but the concept of dropping $17 at once just doesn't sit well. And it still irritates me that the pack doesn't include Guardian of Light, which is a measly 66% off currently.

One last thing: Am I the only one who seriously can't tell all these space games apart? Anything with "star" or "space" in the title is all just a big blur to me. Way too many of them!

Old Tomb Raider Games at 91% off! ($0.62 cents each)

Specifically, 1-6, Anniversary, and Underworld.  Most likely a stacked discount glitch, so hurry if interested!

Awwww come on of course Garry's Mod goes on sale the day I decide not to wake up early. I hope they put it on sale again and hopefully in the afternoon.

NICE catch! :D

Might have to buy the OLD LC games.

I already own Legend (Retail), Anniversary (Retail), Underworld (Retail), & LCATGOL (Steam).

EDIT:

And, done - ordered all TR's 1-6 for $3.72.

Beautiful! :D

Darn, I got all excited but the Collection is still a better deal for those few who don't have any of the games, even with the glitched prices taken into consideration. Still, nice of you to point it out!

Why the heck I am even considering Tomb Raider at $12.50? ...I mean sure it has great reviews, and $12.50 seems like a fair price for a new and good game... but I've got plenty of backlog... and steam cards are not a draw for me.

Edit: Thanks, snagged the 91% offs!

Seems more lucrative to get the older games now and wait for a lower price on the new Tomb Raider.

I saw my friends had both bought witcher 1 and 2 yesterday. I messaged them and told them it was a mistake because you should only buy daily deals or flash deals. I told them I'll laugh when the games go for cheaper later. Look what we have this afternoon! Buying both witchers for 7.49

Ok so I am playing the RE : Revelations demo since there wasn't one for  RE6 and it looks like you can move and fire at the same time. Is this the same on RE6 now ?

Two questions, are the Survival Edition extras worth the 2 bucks, and has the Might and Magic franchise pack been cheaper in the past?  I want to say it hit 75% once... but I can't remember and I'm not sure if anything has had an MSRP drop since then to offset it anyways.

Otherwise a little disappointed that RE6 is only 50% off, not so much because I am interested in buying it, but because it really hurts what little hope I had for a good DmC sale.  And of course no loyalty discount stacking for Blood Bowl which is unsurprising but still kind of a bummer.

PSA: Witcher 2 is now as low as it has ever been, because of a recent price-drop.

Remember that if you buy it on Steam, you can begin installing and right-click in your library for your serial key.  Then you can go to GOG and redeem your backup copy there.  You'll also receive a bunch of digital extras not on the Steam version.

You're probably right, but I had Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld from a previous sale. To get the first 6 games for less than $4 was the deal I was looking for there.

Will think about the new Tomb Raider for the next two days.

listing for flash sale of LA Noire either buggy or just silly

$10 for standard version of game with Brady guide for complete version.  Really??!! just upgrade the bundle to include complete version of the game and it would be a deal

Ah another 4X game this one has a bear in Armor though....reminds me of Volibear haha. Likely pass on all this stuff, Want to try out HOMM 6 but 75% off or GTFO! Also wasn't very favorable reviews. I'm personally hoping for Rogue Legacy discount (about 40% off is fine for me...really want to play the game) and Fallen Enchantress which seems to get alright reviews. Everything else is a plus since I got most of the AAA titles I wanted this year and others need higher discounts (such as Far Cry 3).

I'll vote for it just for you :D

I'm really tired of steam beign broken. Each sale they do is worse, you can't even list the games on sale from time to time, and I'm not even trying to buy a game. I'm afraid some day, when I try to play a Steam DRM game, it says "our servers are experiencing a heavy load, please try later"

In case you got any Amazon GC $ or still ain't used GoonCave yet (extra 15% off), Amazon DVG just PM'ed TR 2013:

Wait a minute the Might and Magic franchise pack doesn't include the new expansion.  Well, never mind that then, guess I'll wait for the winter sale to see if the release a true franchise pack, hopefully at 75%
