I have so many games that I think I'll hold off and try to get Dishonored 75% off and as a GotY or Ultimate/Legendary version. Who knows if or when that will happen but it takes a lot to get me to spend more than $10 on a game

The Marketplace seems down, can't search for anything and going to a card's listings gives me an error.

How long is Dust anyway? I may pick up that one or Reus....or none....not feeling the discounts but they are newer. I'm dying for a Rogue Legacy discount if that one doesn't get one I pick it up at the end....really want to play it.
I have been playing Dust most of the day. I can't speak about its length but I can say its a ton of fun. Especially if you like metroidvania games. The dialogue is a bit cheesy at times and the voice acting ranges from great to annoying, but still I think its worth your time and a good deal at that price point. Rouge Legacy is a ton of fun. I have put 26hrs into it so far. I recommend that game to everyone!

OOh considering dishonored is it a good pc port?

Also I got a Shogun booster pack it says I can sell it for $3 should I sell it or are the foils worth more?

Im leaning towards selling it

Disagree on Idiot's Chivalry review. Just because a bunch of people just spam lmb doesn't mean the combat isn't nuanced. I wouldn't be surprised if many people didn't even know there are more attacks tham lmb, or how to feint or queue up attacks. Anyone that knows the nuances of combat will wreck you everytime.

Archers are a mild nuisance at best. MAA is stupid good in the right hands.

I've never had bad lag or a choppy game. Depending on what server you are on dictates how the game is played. Some servers are full of lmb spamming noobs, some are full of the guys that will wreck you all day.

I think your preconceptions of the game formed your opinion regardless of what actually happened once you played.
Regardless of blocks, feints, and the three different swing types, the combat is still shallow. I am, however, comparing the game to War of the Roses, which is a completely valid comparison as WotR is the closest "rival" of Chivalry. I came across some melee fighters that weren't idiots about LMB spamming, but across multiple servers, you come across that a LOT. If I'm getting MVP multiple times in my first handful of games, there are a lot of fucktards playing this game. It's just not a complex combat system at all, and many times it feels like rock paper scissors with who's gonna block, who's gonna feint, who's gonna attack. Again, comparing it to WotR, which I honestly believe did a vastly better job at this.

It's hilarious to me every time I see people say "I've never had lag" in a game. Congratulations, but the other 90% of people playing this game have.

And my preconceptions of the game are being misunderstood by you. I bought Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for $40. I enjoy "dumb fun" games, so when you're seeing my "preconception" as a negative thing, you're completely off base. I've already recommended Chivalry to people before playing it because of what I've heard about it, so I never had negative preconceptions about this game. Why do you think I bought it? :\

Important to note that he's in Hawaii, so his ping to most game servers is going to be trash and negatively affect the experience in games that require low lag. Most people shouldn't have these types of issues.
Being in Hawaii only sucks (badly) for lag/ping when I can't find servers nearby (I have a hard time finding close WotR servers, for instance). There are loads of west coast servers for Chivalry, so every game I played was between 50 and 100 ping, which is great. The rubberbanding issues are not on my end. That said, I'm gonna see if there are any official servers on the west coast and give those a shot too.

SOB!! I had MP3 + Season Pass in my cart, went to get Steam Cash using my GS credit, came back and kept getting invalid currency error, removed and re-added and they went up in price. Screw you Steam.

I have to convince myself I don't need Castle Crashers, had it on xbox, might have played just a little too much.

What's more F'd up, the steam market, or CAG? I've had to resort to Internet Explorer to access CAG.

:cold:
Whenever it breaks for me I just do a hard refresh (ctrl-F5) to clear cache and it usually works again. I'd never use IE for anything other than mandatory test scripts at my job

Hrm, I'm trying to buy Dust with my steam wallet and am getting this error:

The current payment method does not match the country of the store. The cart has been converted and the updated total will show on the next page. You may also review your cart here, or change your payment method below.

Now, my billing address would be in Canada and I am currently in Boston for a conference, so I think that's the issue, but... it's credit on my steam wallet, not a credit card or anything! Has anyone encountered this? If I change my billing address will that work or will it just cause more problems?

I am on the fence at picking up battlefront 2 for $3.39. It was one of my favorite xbox games, but steam had it for $2.50 6 months ago, I don't wan't to pay the extra 90 cents.

I'd love to see jade empire show up cheap as well, I missed it at the winter sale.
I highly recommend grabbing Battlefront 2. The PC version is NOT a port and it's unbelievably well done and better than the console version. Not only that, the modding community is awesome, and there's some incredible content out there, like...

Battlefront Conversion Pack
-25 new maps
-New era (KotOR)
-Five new clone legions
-Three new unit classes added to the original classes.
-Over 40 new heroes for CW and GCW, and over 30 heroes for KotOR alone
-Six new game modes
-Nearly 30 new vehicles
-UnOfficial 1.3 patch (includes visual upgrades of 1.2 with shell upgrades)

The "25 new maps" are all the maps from Battlefront one converted to work in BF2. So, uh, yeah. Buy it. Multiplayer is still alive and well, too.

The voice acting is top notch and the dialog is extremely well written

Hmm... who to believe. :whistle2:k

Thought I would like replaying CC but got bored after one playthrough.  The characters aren't that different for me to soak dozens if not hundreds of hours into it.

Organ Trail has 15 cards and 8 drops? Those suckers are gonna sell for 5 cents a piece. Not worth the effort unless you want to craft the badge.

I guess I'm a fan of the somewhat ridiculous anime-est kind of voice acting. I thought it was great and sounded like an actual person instead of someone sitting in a booth reading a script. I can see how some might find it annoying, but I just completely fell in love with every character in large part because of the dialog and performances.

Two people on my friends list just bought it though, so we're off to a good start \\:D/

$ is $, I sold 3 for around 10 cents a pop. Not much, but I got the game from a bundle that already paid for itself thanks to a McPixel foil. At this point it's all icing on the cake.

Mmmmm, delicious 10 cent icing. *drool*

(I actually look more at the total amount of money I've made from cards overall, that way it's less depressing to see a single card sell for 10 cents, I just add it all up and say "I've made $40+ selling pixels")

Hrm, anyone else having major problems selling cards? I know it's been spotty throughout the sale, but I'm getting a little more aggressive errors than usual:

You are not allowed to sell this item. The Community Market might be temporarily disabled or your account might be restricted from using the Community Market.
Interestingly, this is right after I got a warning about approaching the 200 community market transaction limit (where it requests your taxpayer ID number).

Honestly, I haven't experienced any weird lag issues in Chivalry either. I haven't played WotR so I can't make a comparison there, but so far I've enjoyed it.

Market is actually down now. Can't search, can't pull up listings.

That's what happens when you add a ton of games with excessive amounts of cards.  8 should be the cap on a set.  10... maybe.  15 is moronic.  Especially for a game like Organ Trail.

Yeah, something tells me that's not the problem here. Not entirely sure what is, likely we'll never know, but 15 cards vs 8? I fail to see how that would cause a problem like this.

Well if people here want to get rid of their cards, I have three leftover gift copies of Terraria that I'm willing to trade for 20 cards each :) save yourself the hassle and dump your cards with me for my spare copies.

I also have Frozen Synapse for 30 cards.

Looks to be about $3.90 vs $5.99 USD price.

Really hoping someone in Europe can help out!
What is it you need help with? I'm too lazy to read back but I'm happy to help if our EU store is cheaper for a change.

I actually kind of hope they unlist all currently listed market items and put them back in inventory. Maybe then the economy will have a chance to recover as cards slowly get reposted

Thank you so much. I had no idea this existed and this is one of my favorite games ever.

Overloading the system? Look how the servers handle the excessive traffic of sales -- not particularly well. Stands to reason the same thing would happen on the marketplace when you add thousands of new entries to process.

Except you dont' necessarily have thousands of new entries to process.

1) Adding 3 games @ 5 cards is the same as adding 1 game @ 15 cards.

2) The drop rate for the games seems to be pretty constant, meaning that even if you had 8 drops, it'd take you longer to get all 8 than it would take to get the 4 drops of another game. Even if they came slightly quicker per drop, you still shouldnt' see much more server load than if you added a game with a lower number of cards - You still have people adding them to the marketplace at a fairly constant rate - and presumably buying them at the same rate as well.

I'm in the same boat. I'd love to play Dishonored, but I can't justify spending $10 for a game that will probably go on the backlog and could possibly see a GOTY edition with all the DLC included.

Thank you so much. I had no idea this existed and this is one of my favorite games ever.
Glad to help. :D Feel free to add me on Steam if you wanna play (same name there). Sadly I can never find any servers of people playing with that mod (you can play on servers without the mod fine iirc, but if you use a mod map or the KotOR era, all players must have that mod installed).

I played it on PC with a controller. Ran great
That's actually usually a good sign of a not-so-good port... I haven't played Dishonored yet though, so I can't really say anything there.

Well, idiotekque, I'm sad to inform you my wallet said no to today. I have too little money to buy much today. I have to be stingy, not that I wasn't already XD I haven't even bought Fallout 3, I'm waiting to see if that's my purchase for today.

Aw shit, 10,000+ replies and we haven't broke the thread of CAG. I guess 3.0 is good for something so far.

If you're torn between BF2, FO3, and FNV, get FNV.

Does anyone think Garry's Mod,The Binding of Issac, and Torchlight 2 will have a 75% off again? I missed Garry's Mod and Torchlight 2 when they were on sale earlier this week and I saw that Binding of Issac has been cheaper before.

1) Adding 3 games @ 5 cards is the same as adding 1 game @ 15 cards.
The idea is that you wouldn't be making up more games with cards you'd just cap the cards at 5 or 8 or whatever. If Organ Trail were capped at 8 or so cards you'd have less entries. Regarding the second point I think it's more to do with overall entries versus rate of addition.
