Am I the only one that finds it ironic that a mod would have an obscenity in their Member Title?

Perhaps he's not as overbearingly bitchmade as the others?

PSA: so apparently just logged onto TF2 for cards and got a ton of items to sell made like 5-6$ just by selling tf2 stuff. For people like me who never played tf2 at all log on and see if you get anything in your inventory may buy a game or two ^.^
:bouncy:

Hadn't played it for ~2 babies when I logged-in not knowing I'd earned genuine items by owning certain games. Hawked 'em for $7+

Thanks, trust-fund babies!!

Gabe on that Robin Hood shit.

Please keep group buy requests out of this thread.

Tons of fun. It is NOT L4D. Just waves of zombies, lots of interesting maps, and constant developer support and additions to the game. A steal at <$4.

Travathian? You're alive?

Gonna be pretty lame if the Deus Ex Director's Cut thing isn't gonna be given to previous owners. Divinity 2 devs were stand up dudes giving all previous owners of the game the Director's Cut free of charge. Doubt Squeenix is gonna be that cool.

Squenix is exactly why I'm worried it's going to be a new store listing instead of an upgrade. Most other companies, I might lean towards assuming they'd be cool about it. Squenix? They're going to hold on to their pennies.

I'm 99% sure as well, or I would've bit on the DLC. The fact that it's 85% off also suggests another purchase will be required.

How long does the sale go on for?  I can't remember.. I'm still hoping for a 75% off on Bioshock Infinite on the last day or something.

Still haven't bought anything (from Steam) .. I was so close to getting the Deus Ex collection before the reminder post about the director's cut edition....

Yeah, 75% off? Whatever drugs you've got, please share. That is some crazy optimism.

Until the 22nd. It says so at the top of the store page.
LoL - I have no idea how the hell I missed that. Thanks.

I doubt it'll happen, but I'd like to see it anyway.

I figured I'd try optimism out for a while - since pessimism hasn't worked out for the last 35+ years.

I'll let you know how it works out.. but I doubt it'll help. ;p

I'm wagering on too optimistic to see that truck that'll run you over. :-({|=

Anyone played Crusader Kings II? It kind of looks like the Total War series grand campaign (which I have sunk hundreds of hours into). Would a Total War fan like this game?
It depends which parts of the Total War experience you enjoyed. If you really liked the grand campaign mode and could live without the real-time battles, then you'll find much to enjoy in CK2. If the military aspects of the Total War games are what you were mostly a fan of, then you may not find CK2 as enjoyable.

It does play differently than other grand strategy games in that you control a character rather than a country. You have to manage your family, your vassals, your direct holdings, the economy, religion, and your troops, and work not just towards conquering land (which is always an option, if sometimes a difficult one) but improving your character's (and his/her descendants') position. Each character, including your own family members, is an independent actor with attributes, traits, opinions of other characters, and ambitions. There's so much to do, and it's a ton of fun, if you're willing to put in the time to learn it. It's a different game than Total War -- I'd say it's more complex and deeper in almost everything except for the military aspects.

Bioshock Infinite ain't gonna get cheaper. It was already 50% (?) off as a daily.

And high priced boosters are only high because the game just got cards, hence the booster packs are scarce. They'll drop down to where they should be once the game has been around for awhile longer, the same thing happens with every game (I saw a $8 booster for something today, forget what).

On another note, someone should snatch this up!

wow 399 bucks for a virtual card made from pixels, lmao

Bioshock Infinite was part of the AMD promo wasnt it? so it could be had for 75 percent off that way?
Pretty much. I see people in the trade thread selling it for $15 all the time, and I even saw someone selling a copy for $12 once. I just don't have a whole lot of interest in the game since I'd rather beat BS1/2 before I play it.

You don't need to play the first two before Infinite; the stories aren't connected at all, with BSI taking place in Columbia. The ending is insanely cool, though.

Oh, and songs like this play on phonographs throughout the game:

In two words:

Human Stupidity

In one word:

Hupidity

Nice. If you replace the H with a C the new word still accurately describes the situation.

Feels good to coin things.

I coined dudes' buckets around the holidays but I didn't read the signs so my $ probably went to the Zimmerman fund.

I may have just coined the use of coin as a transitive verb in that context... maybe. Probably maybe in Uzbekistan or Australasia or Easter Island. Mongolia coins people instead of stoning them because it's more condescending.

If you haven't seen it it's new to you!

I know, but it's the same way I'm going to play Drakensang before Drakensang River of Time. I enjoyed what I played of Bioshock so far (I should really get back to it), so if I went and played Infinite, I'd be going backwards in quality, which is kinda meh.

That's what I love about these digital games, man. I keep my money, they just keep dropping in price.

To be honest, I'd actually disagree with Blade and suggest playing the first Bioshock before Infinite. You don't have to as Infinite's story stands on its own, but there are certain elements to the story that you likely won't appreciate as much if you hadn't played the previous game.

I know I've left this a bit late but would anyone care to share an opinion on the Deus Ex: Human Revolution DLC?

Is the Missing Link worth a dollar?

What about the 2 cheaper packs, are they just early unlocks or do they add something new?

If you plan on getting the director's cut version of the game eventually after it comes out, you should save the dollar and put it towards that. If you want it right now, the Missing Link is totally worth a $1. It's about 2-3 hours long, has a somewhat interesting story and helps to give a little more background on certain things from the main game.

The other DLC actually give you weapons you cannot get otherwise in the game, but they're far from needed. The explosive one also gives you a short mission.

Woohoo, Free Skyrim!

steam_summer_2013_free_skyrim.PNG

I'm going to be that guy and ruin the joke because I think some poor people will actually believe it if someone doesn't.

Skyrim isn't going to be free.

What!?!? Steam would never make a mistake! They want to give us all Skyrim for free because they love us all so much and they dont care about money....

I know this isn't the place for it, but I also know there are quite a large number of people that visit this thread and don't check the steam trades/requests thread... if anyone happens to have a leftover copy of System Shock 2 from the sale, please PM me... I wasn't able to "restock" my gaming fund until after it was over.  :headache:

On Frozen Synapse: I hope so, I've been trying to get the game for all my friends to play co-op; cards would just be icing on the cake.

Frozen Synapse is already 75% off, do you think it will get lower?

In any case I still have a copy for sale for 40 random cards.

This weeks is deadly on my wallet. Time and Eternity Limited, SMT IV and then the Steam Sale. Luckily there is nothing I want for flash deals, lol.

I seem to want more deals but I know that my wallet is hurting this week, lol.
