How superior (if at all) is the pc rage compared to the xbox 360 rage? I own the xbox  360 version but I'm tempted to get the pc version.

Depends.

Do you like Id Software's shooters and how their combat often feels?

Did you ever want Id trying a open-world w/ linear missions?

Can you tolerate the often low-texture quality?

While character models and backgrounds/areas look great, some of the objects in the gameworld are littered w/ low-textures.

RAGE for $5 + Scorchers DLC for $1.24 = sounds fair to me.

I liked RAGE + Scorchers (it's combat is AWESOME), even despite its problems (low-textures; weak story/plot; base game's ending is worse than ME3's ending; & not the best performing game on the PC). It's a good shooter, even despite its problems.

It could've been greater than what it is, though.
agree with above

The game itself has some beautiful backgrounds. Gameplay, it is a shooter and has some good mechanics. I think that the DLC for $1.24 is the cheapest you will find and really helps the game itself. ID would have done better with Rage if they would have released the game with the DLC and supported the PC version better. Just my opinion. It seemed liked ID abandoned Rage to work on other projects.

I would pick up the RAGE DLC, but, in typical Bethesda style, it's $1.61 here.

Also, lol@f2ppacks. I'm going to just vote for the one that seems like the biggest rip off.

I think both RAGE + Scorchers DLC is easily worth the 75% off tag, as a fan of shooters + especially Id Software shooters.

Actually, I should add - this game has some of the best characters w/ all kinds of personality ever found in an Id Software game. The voice-actors and the characters are great here, for the most part.

It's just - everything else I mentioned for my complaints in that post I made (final paragraph), I wish all that stuff was better.

I don't know the #, but Batman: AA + AC both requires G4WL for activation.

I don't know off the top of my head what the rules of G4WL activations are.
I'll just grab them off Amazon in case they do. Amazon is good insurance in case any shenanigans arise from number of download issues. The only reason I was thinking of just grabbing them off Steam was because I have Steam cash to blow.

MysterD explained it very well. I second what he said.
Thanks guys. I might give it some strong consideration.

Awesome, my Shadowrun Returns Steam Key finally arrived. Woohoo.

I know what I'll be doing after this sale ends next week.

I believe this is the fix for Rage textures: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/how-to-unlock-rages-high-resolution-textures-with-a-few-simple-tweaks

It's an automatically adjusting texture system that brings the quality down sometimes and not others. The PC version is not inferior to the console versions.
Weren't a lot of the fixes really meant for those w/ 1.5 GB+ video cards for some of the higher-textures?

EDIT:

Oh, that GPU Trasncoding feature (in the game menu) - that murdered the hell out of my framerate on my PC (i7 950; 1 GB of GeForce GTX 560 Ti; 8 GB RAM; Win 7 64-bit) to like 15 frames or less, when outdoors. That had to stay off, unfortunately - as the game actually did look quite a bit better w/ it on.

wwell i ragebuy what ever lelss money for future lol thanks mysterD for making me impulseragebuy :p

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, Fallen Enchantress : Legendary Heroes is actually 75% off at $9.99 on the steam mobile app, as compared to 66% off $13.59 on the actually pc console.
I don't own the original game, still showing as 66% for me on the mobile app.

[joke mode]

So you RAGE-bought RAGE? ;)

And, if you did an ImpulseRAGEBuy, wouldn't you have bought RAGE on Impulse (aka now GameStop PC App)? ;)

[/joke mode]

Hope you like the game. I think it's a pretty good FPS, even despite its assortment of minor issues.

While I have not played a ton of scribblenauts, I will say that this game seems to have fixed a lot of control problems I had with the first DS game. It's pretty good. I will recommend it if you want a unique puzzle/platformer game with style to it.

When I saw the F2P choices, and at the time lack of flash deals I was really starting to think Valve was pulling a joke or some intern was getting hazed. This is easily the worst set so far, by far :headache:

Same reaction. There have been some pretty major "wtf?" moments in this sale, but this actually made me laugh out loud. Not only are the choices all F2P, but bad ones at that.
