For those asking questions about the DLC for Payday.

I have it and the two new missions are decent and although it looks like a crappy deal given it is $5 and the game itself is also $5, there is an interesting wrinkle...

Only ONE person needs to own the DLC and anyone else can join even if they don't have it. They will NOT get access to any of the other bonuses like the new class/weapons/etc but they can absolutely play the new missions with you.

You get a little more value due to that wrinkle but it would be a much more palatable at 75% off.

For anyone interested, I am at the final dungeon in Penny Arcade 4 and I wholeheartedly recommend this game for anyone who likes turn based RPGs.  I wrote a brief recommendation for the third game last week, but I think I've enjoyed the fourth one more, as it has a different style of customization (as you can get over 14 monsters to fight for you along with more trainers), and the game has an actual overworld as well with much more exploration.  There are plenty of homages to Pokemon, Crono Trigger, and other old school JRPGs (as fans of Zeboyd would probably expect) and lots of secret areas and items as well.  The gameplay got a bit samey near the middle, but if you increase the difficulty every battle becomes a puzzle, especially those with special winning conditions.

The dialogue is better than what you'd expect in these types of games, but your mileage will also depend on your proclivity to Penny Arcade's brand of humor.  I enjoyed it :)  The game is pretty long, I think I'm clocking in at almost 10 hours now.

Catching up a little: Ha, you kids and yer retail price purchases! The last game I preordered was Tales Of Symphonia for GameCube. And it came with The Legend Of Zelda Collector's Edition. I could sell either game for a profit now since they're both sealed. :p

And anyone who managed to get an extra copy of CS:GO for 14 cents and isn't price gouging like mad should PM me. ;)

I will also note that the Payday DLC has been as low as 75% off before so if you are patient and have time it should hit that price again.

This sale puts some things in perspective.  Like how amazing last year's Prototype pack was on Amazon.  $9.99 for P1, P2 + DLC.

That would cost you like $24 this sale and it hasn't even hit close to that price on Amazon either.

Edit:

Also for those wanting the Strike Suit games:

http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/action/strike-suit-pack/

75% off on GMG and a 20% voucher floating around.

Yeah, it's especially amazing because it's published by Activision.. I doubt we'll be seeing any great packs like that again for games published by Activision..

I think Blood Dragon is going to be on the daily deal today for $8.99,just got an email saying an item on my wishlist is on sale and it was Blood Dragon.

That was yesterday's daily deal. The deals last 48 hours and they send the emails out on day 2, so the people who insta-buy don't get spammed with emails right away

"Yeah, and it's disturbing how often it would cost more to buy the DLC separately than to buy a complete pack/edition."

^^This exactly.  Grabbed the complete pack.  Thanks all for the input.

Let me ask this, if you already have Army II + Day Z mod, any reason to give War Z a look?
Eh, not really. I mean they are essentially the same thing. If you are running DayZ fine then there's really no reason. The concept of the games are the same and out of the two DayZ is better. WarZ is only if you want the convenience of a standalone game with no need to mess with any mods or anything.

More like 3rd or 4th chance this year

My wishlist is mostly composed of 50%s that haven't been -- and likely won't be -- reduced any further due to obscurity or age.

I like the bygone way.

I've got a bunch of vintage items and a few vintage hats. Maybe I can get someone to take them off my hands for Deus Ex or System Shock

Market dat shit. It's much easier.

I can't stop playing Football Manager 2013, it is like Civ 5 for soccer. I played 8 hours in a little over a day. :joystick:
Nice.

I've been pining for a decent NBA manager-sim since I was a newborn comically switched with a baby from Kingston.

Thank Jah for that -- my birthday cakes had weeeeeedd in 'em!! I had to blow out all the blunts at once or I wouldn't get any cake!

More likely that people already have this game since it has been on sale as an ultimate edition for several years now.
I would have said that too, if it weren't for the numerous games in a similar situation (on sale many times, most people should already have them) that've won these votes in the past.

As if Bully hasn't... picked it up the first time PC retail a BB/CC for $5 way back when.

Thanks for the write-up Idiotekque, but...

4 pages and nobody quotes this?
I noticed...

Dragonborn still only -30% as well >.<
Harrumph! <waits for GMG/GG 50% + 20%>

Dragonborn has been 50% off several times in the past few months...this just proves Gaben's feelings toward us.

Monaco and Trails just went up, just what I was hoping for. I'm probably done with this sale after I get these two games.
You made me jump... you're late to the party... I thought you mean their discount was reduced.

Dragonborn has been 50% off several times in the past few months...this just proves Gaben's feelings toward us.
The worst part is it was 50% off in the first flash sale on the first day but I hesitated, I couldn't take the shot

P.S In all honesty this is what upsets me most about these sales you never know if a price is a glitch or a legitimate price it encourages you to just blindly buy it asap rather than waiting and see'ing
