If I didn't care about the latest and greatest graphics I'd still be playing on my PS3, that's the only reason I switched. I love anti-aliasing.

The other thing I have found with maxing out graphics, is even when your rig is super powerful (which this thing was pretty much top of the line 2 years ago) totally maxed graphics almost always have given me weird issues. That happened to me with a couple different games back then I can't remember the exact specifics, just that it was a odd not easy to fix issue. Nowadays I just set it to my desktop 1980x1200 res and everything else medium and this PC runs the shit no problem.

edit: Also for me it's not so much about getting max graphics and trying to configure it to work flawlessly on those settings. I'm much more apt to mess with a game if the game isn't functioning in a way that I think that it should. I seriously think I probably have spent 15-20 hours installing and modding dragon age origins to do everything I wanted it to (fix stealing, adding respec, fixing various other broken quests, tons of crap.) -_-

Primary has been PC for the last 2 years, will buy PS4 some time in the future for the exclusives. The reason I put PC over consoles, aside from the technical superiority, is the games are way cheaper and I don't have to pay attitional 13% sales tax. I've saved SO MUCH money since switching to PC, my chequing account balance has been significantly higher than normal ever since.
When I got into gaming a few years ago, I got an Xbox because I didn't know anything and my friends had Xbox's. I realllllly wish I'd have gotten a PS3 now, I have had zero interest in any of the Xbox exclusives, and I plan on getting a PS3 after the PS4 comes out and the PS3 bundles get real cheap. There are so many playstation exclusives I want to play - namely Demon's Souls, but also God of War(s), Ico/Shadow of the Colossus, Uncharted, etc. The only next gen console I know I'm getting is the Wii U for the exclusives. Will wait a few years to see if anything comes out that I HAVE to play on either Xbox or Ps4. But yeah, I'm so glad I switched to PC. To get the games I have on pc on xbox, it would've cost me thousands of dollars, like, 5 or 6 thousand, maybe more. Not to mention that there are more exclusives on PC than xbox and playstation combined, thanks to the easier release route for indies and the back catalog.

What about Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls?

I've never been a graphics whore.  I mean I've seen like awesome looking cut scenes, but the game never runs like that.  I just get something that'll play the games around the level a console would.  If I ever get uber rich I might just get super computer just for the hell of it, but I'd be the guy with the super specs in my sig and you'd see me just posting on CAG and playing casual games with it.

Never. I hate Davids, and I hate cages. You better believe I hate when you put them together.
I wish Sony never pulled Quantic into PlayStation Exclusives.

I'd like to see Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls on the PC.

I liked Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit) - well, the first 2/3rds of the game, at least. Last 1/3rd was garbage.

Never played Indigo Prophecy. I'm interested in both Heavy Rain/Two Souls, though. Will definitely have to try giving em a whirl whenever I get dat PS3

I took a year or so break from PC gaming for the most part until recently when I got a new machine. Can someone explain the whole cards thing to me? I see I'm getting some from the games I've been playing but I don't understand why.

Play games, you will get some cardz.

If you want - go sell cardz on the Steam Market to make some small change or trade them w/ other gamers.

If you make a card set, you can unlock a Badge and get some Steam Rewards or some kind.

Good luck.

I never understood peoples obsession with the latest and the greatest graphics. I have had 2 video cards in the builds I have kept in like the last 7 years, a Geforce 8800 which I think at the time was around $200 (which still runs all modern games I've thrown at it on low, I sold it to my friend 2 years ago and he still plays everything on it.) And now I have a GTX 570 that I paid $250 I think it was. I plan on using this thing for another 2-4 more years.

Why are you is graphics whores CAG?

This ^^

Especially since 1/2 the CAGs infecting my Steam friend-list DO NOT PLAY VIDEOGAMES.

PORN that requires a Titan is only marginally better.

The naming sounds like something Amazon would come up with.
Since Amazon doesn't offer several of those games for PCDD, I'm going to guess GMG. They ran a few Sega bundle back during their bundle sale with similar naming.

speaking of "SAM",

...I've been having a lot of fun with Sam Fisher in Splinter Cell Conviction. I've finally gotten around to playing it.

I was disappointed with Double Agent when I got through it last week, but Conviction is great.

I remember hearing a lot of hate about how the game is so different from the conventional Splinter Cell game.

It IS very different from the previous games in the franchise, but its still incredibly fun to play.

The stealth-gameplay reminds me of Batman:AA if Batman had guns. The art style reminds me of Max Payne 3.

Now if only I had someone to play the coop campaign with...
I loved the heck out of Conviction, and even as the Splinter Cells before it, I was completely blown away by how awesome it was! If only I had it on PC I would definitely be down for some co-op, as I never got to play that campaign either :whistle2:(

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere, but Cook, Serve, Delicious! is now on Steam. Those that picked it up on Desura should have a Steam key available in their Desura account.
I have a strange an unexplainable love of cooking games so I will definitely be getting this come the winter sale (no I don't care what it costs...). Why isn't Cooking Mama on Greenlight yet :whistle2:k

Heavy Rain is awesome, definitely in my top five PS3 games. I'm very excited to play Beyond: TS someday, though I will wait until it hits $20 at least ($60 for a game? you've got to be kidding me).

Out of town, so I will update OP tomorrow afternoon. If anyone is impatient, it's been wiki'd so you can do the edits yourself.

Couch Co-op was hilarious if you have the super serious player (Me) and...my friend, who constantly spent his time flicking on and off the light switch XD. Count me as one who would enjoy the co-op again.

I don't know what this Capcom bundle is for, but I want it! http://steamdb.info/sub/32881/#section_apps

I've been playing Cook, Serve, Delicious! and it's great fun. Pleasant visuals and music and the sound effects and button presses whap and slap real nice, almost like a fighting game.
Sweet! I don't own almost all of those.

I assume we already talked about the potential Focus Humble Bundle? I didn't see it in the last several pages.

I've been wanting to pick this up ever since I watched Giant Bomb's quick look.

SF Vs Tekken with Gem DLCs and SSV4AE. No character stuff though. :\

Lost Planet 1 Colonies Edition also got updated...

Edit: Whoa, all of Capcom's titles got updated. I sense a huge sale coming up!
Did LP1: CE drop G4WL yet?

Will retail LP1: CE retail keys activate on Steam?

EDIT:

My LP1: CE retail key did NOT activate on Steam. :(

That's a really good description. I have it on Desura and played quite a bit last month, but stopped when I saw it was so close to hitting Steam with Achievements and various improvements. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that save games carry over. Ah well. it's certainly worth restarting.

edit: There's information in the game's steam forums about transferring saves.

I wish.

Retail Lost Planet 1 is Steamworks. Colonies retail isn't for some goddamned reason. (I have LP1 on Steam, Colonies on disc, and I just bought a new LP1 box only to find out it's Steamworks...)

Either they upgrade all LP1 owners to Colonies or we're all screwed.

Only other thing that'd be worthwhile for us is a Capcom HB w/ Steam-versions of games that ditched G4WL and implemented Steamworks.

And if that Capcom package is destined for HB... shit, I'ma BTA more ferociously than a Nascar driver/fan/commentator/anybody associated with Nascar (including some animals*) beats his/her wife.

Let me make guesses....

Amazon DVG is going to have a Capcom Hits Bundle?

Capcom HB?

Capcom Weekend Sale?

The naming sounds like something Amazon would come up with.
Hopefully the price is right for whatever it is used for. Even at $60, which I'd guess they'd want to sell it for, it'd be more than $7 a game. The new console collection with six games is that cost http://www.amazon.com/Capcom-Essentials-Playstation-3/dp/B00DT55P94/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381286937&sr=8-1&keywords=capcom+essentials I bet it's not for Tony, though I haven't kept up with Amazon developments, since he said they weren't getting custom multi-game keys from pubs.

Me too. I have a 3 TB External Hard Drive I install games to that I don't care if they run off a 5200 rpm device.

The only games I don't have installed are those few I know I'll never, ever, ever play.

Speaking of card farming, it looks like the original Trine now has cards, it just showed up on my Badges list.
thanks for the heads up, idling now

also, realized I never activated my desura key for gravi, thanks to who announced it coming to Steam. :)

i hope my gtx 670 lasts me a few more years

these min requirements i've seen for next gen games are absurd
Yeah, I feel like they're bloating the requirements to help sell newer cards..

Or they're taking into consideration playing 3D or playing with dual/triple monitor setups at super high resolutions. If you're playing at 1080p I think that the 670 will last a good long while.

there so it waas mess up city xl 2012 wasnt suppose to be in there insteead city xl planitum and it okay bundle sincee i have 2o f the the 6 and i would have to want the rest of dlc to buy so maybe not

Dat Radeon R9 280x... matches and sometimes outperforms the GTX 770 for $100 less. And kicks my 560 Ti's ass. Can you force AA on AMD cards like you can through Nvidia Inspector? I think I could stomach spending $300 on that AC4 foliage.

I really need to find time to start The Witcher 2. It's in my top 10 backlog queue right now. So many good games, so little time. /sigh
Me too, but that game is so damn intimidating to me. I paid $40 when I was new to PC gaming and then never played it.
