Is it just me or is the market place a bit broke for listing new cards? Had a dupe hacker and it didn't give me a price history when starting to list it. Looked it up and there were dupe listings for that card and it looks like most cards. The secondary listing seems to be rotten with undercutting if you're looking for particular cards as well. The main hacker listing was starting at 17 cents the secondary one was starting at just 7 cents. Appears to be the case for most cards right now.

Monaco card. Upon closer inspection it looks like cards are getting listed once as just their name and again as the card id and name.

Most with the card id seem slightly lower than the normal listing, some, particularly the foils are much higher.
Oh ok, I thought you meant an actual hacker hacked the listings or something. Yeah, I'm seeing the same issue too.

Seems silly that game even needed to Greenlight in the first place.

Wasn't Greenlight put in place just for unknown developers and what not? That was a fairly successful console game.

But whatevs, glad they made the cut, I suppose.
More of a game with a cult following than actually being fairly successful, I would say.

With games like Longest Journey 3 and Divekick (Iron Galaxy isn't a huge developer, but they have a proven console track record) also needing to go through the greenlight process, it doesn't surprise me that DP did as well.

It is slightly silly, yes, but when those games are almost immediately greenlit because they do have that established base, it's more of a formality, so it isn't really hurting anything. (You could argue it's taking slots from other, smaller games, but so are the half-finished projects that get greenlit and may never come out.)

Those devs/publisher would get so much money from me if they made a HP-based RPG.
If Bioware, or a similar dev, were to make a HP RPG with an original story, set in the universe with input from Rowling, and leaning a bit darker, that would sell, considering all the kids who read Harry Potter growing up are now like me and in their 20's.

Maybe something dealing with the Ministry of Magic, or a prequel dealing with the original war started by Voldemort.

I'm not even that big a Harry Potter fan, and the thought of that makes me shiver with excitement (erotic in nature).

EDIT: So after a few minutes CAG 3.0 doesn't automerge posts, but with the way quotes are built, I'm not seeing an easy way to copy my post, edit it into the first post, and delete the second. Any workaround for this I'm not seeing?

Also, as far as coupons go, I have a 66% off Fallen Enchantress coupon if someone wants it.

I ain't ashamed to say I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter. I completely geeked out over the Harry Potter park at Islands of Adventure in Orlando! One day I want to go to King's Cross and take a nerdy picture with the trolley at Platform 9 and 3/4!

What I mean to say is... HELL YES I WOULD BUY THAT GAME 50 TIMES OVER

I'd rather BioWare finally do a Jade Empire 2.

Something funny is going on with the marketplace. There seems to be 2 listings for each item and the Summer Getaway cards have dropped down to summer sale prices.

Yeah, the latest update duplicated every item listing. Things seem to have stabilized now near the original prices. It's a pretty good indication that overall the steam market is fairly efficient.

If this is the game I think it is, I played a ton of this game back in middle school. I'm now going to try to find a way to get this on my computer when I get home from work today. And then probably be disappointed because it isn't as good as I remember it or I am no longer good at it.
^_^ Yeah, it was popular on Macs late-80s/early 90s... I think I stumbled across a IIGS version I was unaware of. That screen shot seems to be from (Xbox platform thing) -- I didn't know there was a modern port. Really enjoyable game.

Well for what it's worth, I'm a guy (last I checked anyway) and really want to play it. Though I guess maybe I am just drawn to anime/harry potter/high school sims ^_~
High School Dreams

Lmao, thanks activated my key from Humble Bundle 7

How much longer before Steam adds porn and gives it cards?
I'm still against adding that to my steam library since itsnottagame.

My prediction: by January of next year, three out of every five greenlit games will be alpha or beta zombie survival horror sandbox FPS/RPGs. Apparently no one will ever get tired of zombie games.

You get to kill humans, only they're already dead so there's a moral gray area to bask in. What's not to love? ;)

Check again. You're very effeminate.

How is LA Noire on the PC? I've had a few people who I know swear by PC games say it's better on consoles.
A lot of people have trouble running it.

And I've never heard that it's all that prettier or smoother on PC once you do get it going.

If you have the console option for a similar price you're probably better off there.

I can't speak for the console version, but I personally had no trouble running LA Noire on the PC. I played it all the way through and beat it and never had a problem. I have heard of others having some trouble setting the game up, but I thought it looked and played just fine on PC in my personal experience.

As others have said though, I'm not sure if PC had any *advantage* for this game, as opposed to, say, Sleeping Dogs, so if you'd rather play it on console that might be a better bet. At the same time, LA Noire is so cheap on PC now that it's worth a shot ;)

Think I will wait then. Ty my fellow Michigander.

Just noticed your profile pic, thought you might appreciate this:

Blanka is a troll
OMG sooooo awesome. That is totally why he was the coolest street fighter character. Totally could see him doing that lmao!

so I've been told, but eh, I could care less if people think that. If they have a problem with the way I act or the stuff I like, well I'm not forcing them to be around me. Trying to be someone I'm not has never done anything good for me.

I don't even like, nor have read Harry Potter, but I was thinking the same thing. As long as blood splatters all over your face and stays there after killing people, I would play it. Hopefully this would be true of the young Harry too, when he looked four-years-old.

And on the flipside, I tried literally every single fix in existence beyond reformatting my hard drive and couldn't even LAUNCH the game. LA Noire is (and I really hate to say this) better on consoles, because you won't run into any shitty nonsensical Rockstar port issues, and the game is coded to run ONLY at 30FPS.

I preferred LA Noire on the PC simply because of being able to play it in 1080p with better AA, but with so many people having trouble running the game it's hard to recommend the PC version over the console one.

There is a way to remove the 30fps cap by the way. http://www.dsogaming.com/news/l-a-noire-30fps-cap-and-black-bars-removal/  I don't know how well it works though, I haven't personally tried it since I preferred playing the game at 30fps in black and white for the film look.

Hm, when I looked into it, all the recent discussion on the FPS lock explained that the game was coded to only work in 30 FPS, and any attempts to unlock it resulted in really screwy stuff and basically broke the game.

That's from 2011? I dunno, I'd love to try it, but I gave up even getting the game to launch, so oh well.

I hope Deadly Premonition has fully standardized controls on PC, but also a "classic" setting that switches them to be more analogous to the wonky console set up, just for fun.  I also hope the maps zoom appropriately and weapon damage is scaled reasonably.  25 rounds straight into the head and trunk of a single zombie couldn't get more bullet-spongey!  If not, modders please!

How to get your game on Steam:

1. Make a game. Quality not important.
2. Post game on Greenlight.
3. If game has zombies in it, has a "scary" theme, or has the term "survival horror" in the description move to step 6, else, go to next step.
4. Not getting enough votes? Of course not. You didn't qualify for the if statement in step 3. Include game in a "Greenlight" or other cheap bundle.
5. Post anywhere and everywhere that people who own your game will get a Steam key if it makes through the Greenlight process.
6. Congratulations! You have made it to Steam.
7. (Optional) Release game in a somewhat polished state.

I know, there are some decent games coming out of Greenlight, but there is a sliver of truth here.

So is Trine 2 the complete story different from the 360 version? Also, how is the first Trine compared to the second one?

Zombies and Survival games are popular now, but they always have been. Just look at the PS2 catalog.

If you look over the list of Greenlit and released games it's a lot more varied than that with the majority of the games not fitting the description of "zombies in it, has a "scary" theme, or has the term "survival horror" in the description." Personally stuff like Organ Trail (Zombies) and Project Zomboid (Zombies/Survival Horror) are at two different ends of the spectrum. I think it really has more to do with what type of following/promotion devs have as I don't think many of these games have just popped out of the blue and been voted in just randomly.

Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban were pretty decent IMO (console versions mind you, PC and GBA were completely different). Goblet of Fire was really the dropping off point in quality, and I never got around to playing the next four. I REALLY liked Lego HP 1-4 though, and 5-7 was still passable but an obvious drop in quality. I'm sure we will eventually see a HP MMO, but chances are it would be hell to play with how many preteens would surely jump on. I don't know, but I suppose nothing could be worse than the last few games (Harry Potter Kinect and Book of Spells :puke: )

I thought a Harry Potter TYPE MMO (or just an RPG) would be great. I didn't care for the LEGO one until I got it on my iPad. Even then it was OK at best.
I haven't played it myself, but I recall reading that the GameBoy Color Chamber of Secrets game was a classic-styled RPG that reminded one reviewer of Final Fantasy IV in its execution.

Shadowrun Returns is getting decent review scores so far. I've been watching this one, excited to see how it turns out.

Ooh, that unlocks today (Thursday), doesn't it? First KS game I've backed to see its release. =D

Bit late but.

Ys origins is great definitely worth the price.

http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?id=307441

1 and 2 were interestingly different, also more old school.

Was amused seeing bosses from Ys Origins pop up(yes technically the other way around).

Haven't tried oath yet.

Also S.P.A.Z. in the indie gala means more of you are going to hopefully try that great game hurray.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. I actually did play it (well as much as I could, it was very difficult), but it was definitely a pretty classic RPG that had a surprising amount of depth. I heard the GBA games were of a similar quality, though sadly I never played them. Really most of the HP games up to POA were pretty good, and definitely above average for movie based games (excluding the lousy PC versions). Even better they actually incorporated more of the original books than the movies, which I appreciated. Of course EA wanted them to do something different after that and we wound up with an action RPG, open world school Sim with skate controls, and two cover shooters. Props for variety, strikes for quality

The Trine 2 DLC was never released for the 360 or PS3. Only the Wii U (and PC) versions have it.
Thank you for the info . I'm not sure if that's worth
a purchase and space taking up the memory just to play some DLC.

All this talk about HP is really making me want them to make a awesome RPG set in that universe. Hopefully someone will eventually take the franchise seriously and make a good game, which shouldn't be to hard with so much material to work with. Then again, it took batman way longer then it should've to finally get a good game.

Just noticed when checking Badges there's now a little icon on the top right corner of each game to Steam Card Exchange. Don't think that icon was there before(?).

What's the appeal of this Marvel Heroes MMO? All I can think of is running around in a world with 3,254 Spidermans, 2,549 Thors, 4,953 Hulks, etc... Honestly, that sounds really dumb. Every MMO on the market offers a fair amount of customization so all the characters don't look the same... Beyond some wardrobe changes, everyone is just going to be using the same iconic superheroes...

Second for me after FTL! :) Wasteland 2 seems to be moving along nicely. Too bad Project Eternity's been delayed. I'm concerned about Grim Dawn and Banner Saga taking forever...

Any game with zombies in it applying for Greenlight should automatically be flagged for review by someone at Valve.

Also, some people just shouldn't be trusted to vote responsibly on Greenlight (namely, the ones responsible for making #3 on Preedatore's list a reality).

This isn't an attack on the 1% of zombie games that are good, just the 99% that aren't.

Simple, there is none.
