Free Stuff - Needs Updating

There are quite a few free and free2play games and mods on steam. You can find a full list here. Note that free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.

After the discussions about the steam trading forums and everybody tossing out their pet peeves, I noticed my lists always violate a couple big ones - they're non alphabetized and not priced. Fixed it and posted my new list about ten minutes ago and already got an offer. Schmanks guise!

So I guess it's safe to say you're not into fully-clothed, possibly trans-species dry humping? How unexpectedly prudish of you.

lol

It's Euro-trash like Flowette and The End who don't stand up to their sexually hyper-conservative masters -- that's the problem.

Can't ya just force your women to rock burkas 24/7 and then, I dunno, go fuck yourself?! Cheers!!

Porn-banning bitches...

Talisman Prologue is on Steam now.

If you send proof of purchase to the dev (can be proof of owning the Indie Gala Colossus Bundle), you'll get a free Steam key from the dev.

Note: All I had to do to get a Steam key was take a screenshot of my Indie Gala bundle page with the Desura key showing. I didn't need a "receipt".

EDIT: Dev has decided to stop responding to emails, now he's going to try to distribute the Steam keys through Desura.
No key when I checked earlier this morning but just checked again and it is now there. Thanks for the heads up!

PCGAMER: Watch Dogs delayed until Spring 2014

Translation estimation:

Ubisoft: "We were actually serious about those system requirements."

Whoa, that's surprising. Watch Dogs was supposed to be a pretty big hit for the holidays especially on the next gen consoles.

Interesting.

Am I the only one very cautious/not entirely excited about Watch Dogs? I mean, I guess I'm interested but I don't get the insane amount of hype around it.

Felt like that game was being rushed out to meet the new console launch. Hopefully this delay is to improve the game, rather than just to prevent it from competing with Assassin's Creed 18.
I think more serious competition is GTA V (which supposedly releases for PC early next year).

Even if it was just good, would have been something open-world actionish to play while waiting for GTA's PC release :p

All the Still life games are on sale in a bundle for 2 bucks if you bought the October Bundle from indie gala (which I did), so thinking of getting it. Can anybody recommend the Still Life games?

Daily Deal

Ace Combat Assault Horizon - Enhanced Edition (-75%) $29.99 $7.49

Midweek Madness

Dust: An Elysian Tale (-66%) $14.99 $5.10

I am definitely in for Terraria and Dust looks awesome as well.

However, I will not buy Ace Combat until we know what's up with GFWL  :headache: .

Sid Meier's Ace Patrol is $1.25 on GameFly and with "GFDOCT20" you can get it for a dollar. After cards it's almost free, but if I got the Sopwith Camel card I'd keep it, because of Snoopy.

I had a great time with Dust. Great Metroidvania platformer, some RPG elements, nice combo-based combat (some might say repetitious, but I didn't mind it), lots of stuff to do and find. Took me about about 20hrs to find everything in it (or almost everything, I might have forgotten a few treasure chests)

I had reservations about the art style but it's very well made, with pretty great voice acting and an engaging plot.

Thanks!

Yo, who's got that 10% discount? Seriously, suck it up and admit it for the good of the community.

They should have put Worms Clan Wars instead of Worms Reloaded so they can actually get some other people to play that game besides myself.

In for a buck for TTR and Incredipede, already have the others and the BTA ain't worth it.

I actually have played Anodyne and it's alright, kinda 2D Zelda with a healthy dose of 2deep4u indie BS. Can't imagine playing on a mobile device though (those jumping puzzles...)

Agreed.

Also, for those with Android devices, note that the Android counterpart is NOT Worms Reloaded, just the older Worms 2: Armageddon. I was hoping that Reloaded was making its Android debut, but that is not the case.

I'm sorta feeling the same way, or at least I was until that last E3 demo. My word that was awesome :bouncy:

Maybe Watch Dogs should be renamed Snoop Dawgs to avoid confusion (the casual version would be Snoopy Dogs)
But then they wouldn't they be competing with this ^_~

I've also played it, but would say it's a lot more :bs: than anything resembling fun. I wouldn't recommend it, but to each their own.

Oh, I didn't mean for that to read as a recommendation. I'm right there with you, it's not a fun game, just competently made and creative (if pretentious.)

In MP3 format. From 2005, which means it wasn't really encoded very well.

I want to buy this just to get the soundtrack in FLAC format.
Fair enough, but I'm not that picky. Personally I have trouble hearing the difference between my tapes and these new compact disc things people are raving about.

I wish Steam had an option for automatic game updates that was based on update size. ie

Automatically download updates: Y/N?

If update size is less than X
