Sales end Jan 3 10am Pacific. Tomorrow will be an "encore" of their "best sales".

Well it was a fun 2 weeks.

Think my big purchase was the Early Access to the DayZ standalone. Thinking about joining the Early Access to Nether. Rust didn't really interest me.

Get Gunslinger and Blood Dragon bundle. You can get it from Russia for around 6USD. It is absolute steal for two great games published in 2013. 

 
I guess it's time to trawl through the duration sales to see whether there's anything worth picking up.

Overall, I picked up a whole bunch of stuff that I wasn't specifically after, and none of the stuff that I was (due to EC paranoia.) Come the end of Jan, I'll probably be regretting not buying some of those - Far Cry 3, Dust, Castle of Illusion, and Most Wanted - but I was stung pretty badly last year.

"Best of" would be great, but I think someone said previously that there usually isn't an "encore" during the Holiday Sale.

Did it myself before sale to get me to level 40. However during the whole duration of the sales I got only one booster pack so I am not sure if it is worth it.

Cheapest proposition is to get card drops from owned games and buy remaining cards to complete it. It will cost you less than 0,30EUR, depends on game. If this is not possibility, usually cheapest are games with 8-9cards. The whole set will cost you arond 0,45-0,55EUR. Also steam summer sale cards are quite cheap now. For level up I used Chivalry, Terraria and Sanctum 2.

They used to run a recap "best of" day during the holiday sales, but they stopped a year or two ago (the same sale that they changed dailies from 24 to 48 hours iirc.)

 
i've been pleasantly surprised with Van Helsing, Valdis Story, and Lego Lord of the Rings.... also picked up Dishonored... that's about it nothing I was like I have to get this.... overall a decent sale but they've had better. 

Also thank you to DrSasquatch for hooking me up with the Bioshock season pass on the cheap!

I know it's unlikely, as we both have crippling piles of shame, but did you try DMC4 yet? I was thinking of picking it up. Probably shouldn't, as it goes on sale a lot, and I have both Darksiders to play.

Also, question for everyone: what's better: DMC or DMC4?

I played. but never completed DMC4 on PS3. I thought the gameplay was OK, but just never really got hooked like I was with say Bayonetta or even Dante's Inferno. I hear it's a good port, however. Truth be told, I bought it from GMG only because they were running a contest that day and to enter you needed to buy something. I've passed on it so many times, but a game of chance pushed me over the edge. I can't comment on the newer DMC.

You'd think it was say Recap Deals in...

Oh well, little mystery to my day. Part of me wants them to throw Skyrim in a recap for a chance at a glitch. I was horrible catching glitches in this sale. One was right in front of me and I went blank. Hopefully the Amazon EC list will come out today, that would be cool. Snowed in where I am today, guess I'll get closer to finishing AC3.

This has been a completely uneventful holiday sale for me. The only thing I purchased was Mark of the Ninja: Special Edition DLC for $1.00. With my backlog standing at 55, I can't justify purchasing anything else unless it's under $2.50 and 75% off. Everything else can wait while I deal with what I have (the goal being to slash the count in half by year end). The only exception to that rule is crazy glitch prices that will never come around again. Fortunately for me, nothing I've wanted has glitched.

out of curiousity has anyone played Nether? I see it has a pay system... is it just cosmetic items or "pay-to-win"? 

Edit: Checked the forums on it and it is cosmetic items only.. that's good I guess? Can anyone comment on the actual gameplay though?

I've had my eye on 'Fate' during this sale, and it has been at 40% off the entire time.  Should I pull the trigger on it now, or wait?  I thought this sale lasted until tomorrow the 3rd, but the countdown clock on the game says that it will be over in 2.5 hours.  Thanks.

The sale either ends at 1 pm est, or there'll be an encore sale.. either way I highly doubt Fate would be a featured deal in the encore sale (if there is one). If you really want it, I'd buy it now.
