You don't really think that was a work, do you?
No. I know it was.

For all you guys citing "OMG IT WASN'T MENTIONED AFTER, IT WAS REAL!!!"

Matt Hardy.

I fully support that switch at the end with UT...

But, as for that Orton/Cena match....they got me for sure on that shit. Since the theme was that Orton kept getting out of the match, I can believe it was a work.

Plus, it'd be rare for that match to end like that....seemed weird that Cena reached out the ring like that and got RKO'd twice so perfectly

REGARDLESSLY....I loved it whether it was a work or real
I think "Viper" is, too.
'sat a "Street Trash" reference?

I'm a go read the SS results.

EDIT: 4 finishes for Cena/Orton? Christ, did they hire Dutch Mantel?

...and we may get Punk/Taker in a submission match? Holy living fuck.

American Dragon in WWE?

Three things of note:

1) I'm sure his ring name will become "Theodore Magnificence" or "Leopold Arnsparger" or some shit that sounds like suck and will be printed on t-shirts.
2) He'll be given a shitty gimmick like a "wrestling bus driver" or something.
3) He'll be in Florida until February, wrestle 4 times on Superstars, once on Smackdown, and then be back in ROH before Easter.

Wait, what? Did I miss something by not seeing SS?
In other news... Bryan Danielson is WWE bound. ROH just confirmed it on their website today.
Rumor has it that WWE actually signed five people from Ring Of Honor

5???

Dragon, Aries, McGuinness, have all got to be musts. Maybe the Briscoes? Davey Richards?

I mean if you can't make your own stars, buy them.

That was a great PPV. Better than Mania IMO. It's just too bad they folllow this PPV with the lame ass Breaking Point. All submission=all boring.

Ziggller should have won the title. Orton/Cena made no sense at all and was a total buzz kill. I wanna know what the deal was with that fan thing.

CM Punk/Hardy was damn good. Punk is really growing on me.

I look forward to seeing Danielson in WWE - given how well WWE has treated Punk overall, and the fact that they had him win over a contract guy in a dark match, I think he'll do pretty well IF he's kept off Raw. Am Drag as the World champ on SD is something I can see within a couple of years. ECW...maybe six months.

Maybe it's too late to say this but, the crazed fan thing is a work. I used to work at Staples Center. It would be Staples Security to intervene if that was an actual fan. Staples security wear red suit like uniforms and not black.

That's the damn truth. Sorry but Morrison and Ziggler don't compare.

I just read this via LordsofPain of the identity of the "fan":

-- The "fan" who interfered in the Randy Orton vs. John Cena match at Summerslam was Brett DiBiase, according to PWInsider.com.

Currently performing for Florida Championship Wrestling under a WWE Developmental deal, Brett is Legacy Member Ted DiBiase, Jr.'s younger brother (and wrestling legend Ted DiBiase, Sr.'s son).
Jim Ross was hinting at it as well on his blog. I bet the fan will replace Ted when Dibiase goes face.
Called it!!!

that worked pretty well for them in the 80's.

Regarding the "fan" run in: told ya. I can't believe people thought that was real.

1. Just so happens to run in at a moment where they had no real "out" - Orton wasn't going to just break the submission hold or get back to the ropes after being pulled away from them.
2. Jumped on the ref as Orton is supposedly about to tap, instead of striking Cena and/or just running around the ring like an idiot.
3. Camera stayed on him when they pulled him out of the ring.
4. They cut back to him while dragging him away up the ramp.
So who is the new Legacy guy that ran in?
I am KaneRobot, and I...am...awesome.

The Hardy/Taker switch at the end was kind of neat. It actually seemed to work better than you'd think as the crowd didn't react immediately after the lights came back on.

El-Torcho:
WWE chairman Vince McMahon told the L.A. Times that he plans to launch a WWE cable TV network
"within two years." McMahon was interviewed by the Times in a feature story on last night's Summerslam PPV from the Staples Center in L.A.

McMahon said he feels confident they will be successful because WWE has "a lot of clout" in the entertainment industry. He said their diversified businesses in movies, music, and having an extensive video library at their disposal will help them create content for a cable channel.

With WWE becoming more and more of an entertainment company, it's becoming more and more difficult to justify WWE talent not being represented by agents or having union protection from the Screen Actor's Guild. McMahon told the Times he just doesn't want to deal with that.

"I'm not a real fan of agents," McMahon said. "As long as you are fair with everyone, why would you have an agent?" McMahon added that WWE's top stars make "several million dollars a year."

Big Show defended McMahon. He said: "Vince will take care of you."
Not touching that second part, but the cable thing is interesting. I wonder how likely it actually is to happen, though.

Since Shawn Michaels and Undertaker returned at Summerslam, would it make sense for them to continue their feud w/ HBK taking the win @ the next PPV?

Oh well, whatevers.

The UT/Hardy switch was my markout moment of the year. Like Punk, I was looking all around for the Undertaker without noticing that Jeff Hardy had suddenly gotten much bigger. Very creative WWE, I'll give credit.

I hope that Vince doesn't just sit on the guys from ROH so they can't get any exposure while in WWE cause he has done it before. I just wonder how that is going to effect ROH storylines with that many people leaving at the same time?

I see ROH bringing in new talent from Chikara and PWG and pushing their own younger guys.

Human Tornado, Scott Lost, Chuck Taylor should all be showing up in ROH and I also suspect that guys like El Generico, Kenny Omega, Kenny King, and Joey Ryan will get major pushes.

If Austin Aries leaves, I can almost guarantee Roderick Strong will be the next ROH champ. That said, this is the guy that told TNA to fuck off in order to come back to ROH. On the other hand, ROH isn't the same company it was back then.

ROH tonight - 8PM EST.

It's a longshot, but maybe the guys from ROH will actually get a storyline similar to the Radicalz storyline, but with them trying to "prove themselves" since they aren't part of the "WWE Universe."

I just don't want to get confused by them having stupid new names.

No way.

They'll come up and most will end up "Ricky Ortiz"ing their careers.

The logical fallacy is the hypocritical way WWE operates, you know? They don't view ROH roster guys as "stars," and there's some reasonable expectation behind that. They pretty much aren't stars. But the hypocrisy comes in when you hear that ROH's roster is pillaged within weeks of them moving to a small-peanuts cable channel operating on Monday nights - clearly indicating some feeling of "threat," small as it may be.

Danielson has tried out with them over a number of years - within two weeks of ROH moving to Mondays, he is signed. That points to this being a total and unadulterated "fuck you ROH" move, not a "these guys are fine wrestlers who will make additions to the roster" move.

In other words, YELLOW POLKA DOTS AM CONFIRMED.

There is no way in hell these ROH guys are just going to show up straight onto WWE TV. If they send the TNA guys to developmental and a lot of the WCW guys back in the take over, these ROH guys will too.

Danielson going to WWE doesn't bother me that much nor do I fear for his character - he's got one of the biggest cheerleaders in the locker room in the form of Shawn Michaels, and he's capable of working so many different styles that transitioning to the WWE shouldn't be a problem.

Other ROH talent I can see going to WWE are Austin Aries, Nigel McGuinness, and Chris Hero. Hero's worked everywhere there is on the indies, and he's accomplished almost all there is to do. He's ditched the pajama gear for the most part, he's excellent in the ring when matched with quality opponents, and he's surprisingly large for an indy guy. The biggest downside to him in the WWE is that he looks almost identical to Edge.
