I am very interested in this- curious to see how the final product will look!

Also, I know that Rocksteady only made 3 of the 4 home console games, but the fact that there are 4 games and this will only have art from 3 of them rubs the completionist/perfectionist in me the wrong way! :)

 
That Naughty Dog book looks nice, but man is it hard to pay $100 when the regular hardcover edition is $25 on Amazon. The difference is the case, leather bindings, and six lithographs in a folio.

 
Has anyone seen any other deals for that Amano Final Fantasy set lately? I picked up a copy for myself when it hit around $18 a few months back, but I'd really like to get one for a friend of mine on Christmas.

Annnnnnd now I don't feel bad about returning my copy of the CE. I can live without a cloth map and a steelbook, and that statue was too damn huge for me, but I kinda wanted an artbook for the game.

The 30% off at Barnes and noble doesn't have the $10 limit like at Amazon. I just got the two One Piece Manga Boxsets (one per account) for a total of just $3.50 per volume, which is nuts.

 
The B&N coupon trumps amazon since there isn't a $10 max savings. Doesn't stack codes but stacks with other sales like b2g1 graphic novels.

Udonstore is a good place to order from if you never want to get what you bought.

Hey everyone.  I know this isn't an "official" licensed artbook per se, but it is really a stellar-looking book and at a great price for what it is.

Some of you may remember the artist who produced the "Guide to Kanto" artbook for the Pokemon games, well she's just released the "Legend of the Hero" Compendium.

It's basically a "world history" book about many (all?) of the Zelda races/locations/characters put together with stunning Art.  There's a special hardcover edition and also a set of 8 artist prints representing 8 different Zelda games.

As its not official, there are no officially copyrighted terms (i.e. "Zelda" "Triforce", etc. etc.) in it, but it looks like she gets pretty close and still captures the world well.  

Simply put, this is a stunning fan-created (albeit professionally done) work that really will be a nice gem in any Zelda-fan's collection.  While I didn't get an exact figure on a run-size, it is definitely not "mass marketed" and so get it while you can.

I saw this thread bumped and I just wanted to say how absolutely amazing the Dragon Age Inquisition art book is. It literally has everything I want in a solid art book. First off it is larger than it says with over 300+ pages I believe and it touches on everything. Has great notes from creators and artists, a crap ton of environmental concepts and not just final pieces, same with the character design there are plenty of failed sketches/designs in here plus they even have full storyboards!

I am absolutely in love with this book and have been referencing it a bunch already in my work!

  • Hero's Guide to Elder Scrolls Online (received it damaged. I haven't opened it yet in hopes that Bethesda will send me a replacement)

  • Every Day is Play (got it off Kickstarter, but fangamer is also selling it. Lot of cool fan artwork)

How does your Dishonored cover look? I ordered this from Amazon & the foil is pretty scratched up. No scratches clean through the foil but it still looks pretty rough.

 
Foil was okay, but there's scuff marks on the black parts. It's not a very robust cover design since it shows a lot of witness marks.

Story of my life, man. We're not planning a move, but I've been desperately trying to offload books for when the day inevitably comes.

The "English" Limited Edition is a little expensive, but worth every penny. Books like this just aren't made that often, due to there niche market, but it's easy to see how this book was a labor of love.

One of my top 5 gaming/collector guides for sure. For those of you on a budget, they also have a soft cover releasing very soon. I told one of the creators I do my best to always support projects like this, so I figured there may be a few here who would like this book as well. I stumble across it complete by accident, and I'm so glad I did.

A really great look in to "N" and there early steps in to the video gaming waters.

Yes, they are very similar(I own both). Pix N' Luv is more of a "history" book, where this is more of a "collectors" & history guide. Both are excellent, but I could see where someone wouldn't want or need both. I'm a HUGE fan of "Game & Watch", so it's a no brainer for me. I'm actually planning to get the softcover standard one when it releases as well.

 
Awesome, I remember reading the installments in Nintendo Power when I was in elementary school. I had the first book that collected all the installments as well. I might have to pre-order this newer version, thanks for sharing!

That's a great deal! That book's been on my radar for awhile, but between me and my husband, we have a small pile of artbooks from assorted StarCraft II and WoW collector's editions. Anyone know if there's a significant amount of art in that book that's not in the ones we already own?
