Uh, does Terminator: Salvation count? It's either that or Taken.

However, I am more of a extremely goofy comedy guy instead of a mindless action fan. For example, I know I will get made fun of for this, but I liked Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

EDIT: Oh, I also liked Land of The Lost, Tropic Thunder and other movies like that.

One more week and I close on my house. I'm excited! All the costs are adding up though. So much so that I think I'm going to paint the house with my parents. The painters want 2000+ and I got several quotes.

Owning a house is one of the most expensive things you'll ever do. The costs never stop. There's always more work. And very little reward, other then if you have prime location and the market explodes, you can sell for millions and retire to a beach.

What I learned from friend's who already own houses is that once you own a house you almost become a jack of all trades. If it breaks, you can fix it for half the cost yourself, you just have to motivate yourself to do it and find the time for it.

I cant wait to get rid of my house, or burn it to the ground. I've been trying to fix it up to sell it when the market looks better again, although the location isnt the best place.

I've been fixing it up gradually all by myself, I've just finished the downstairs bathroom, covered the whole thing in slate tiles, installed a shower and a jacuzzi tub, and some new lighting fixtures.

I've finished fixing all the internal plumbing and leaks and am deciding on whether or not I should re-do the whole kitchen or just install some new cabinets.

Things aren't always that simple, but yes, I've learned how to do a hell of a lot more than I knew how to do before. Sometimes though, it's better to just pay someone with expertise than to waste time and money doing it yourself -- example: contractor starts tomorrow on renovations for the bathrooms. Since there's currently only one working bathroom (until the sewage plumbing is redone), I don't have the luxury of doing it myself bit by bit. Since the plumbing that needs to be redone is also in the basement and new drain lines need to be run under existing concrete, I don't have the expertise or the patience. :|
