Quick question for those who bought R-Type for TG-16

what is the button layout for the Wii-mote, is the A button used?
is there a save system in-game like Bomberman? or infinite continues? or nada?

:claps: very nice. Overall for me, it's pretty meh. I'm not a huge Zelda fan (but I DID enjoy OoT..but i'm probably not buying it again).

What exactly was NES Yoshi.. i'm drawing a blank here. For some reason the only thing coming to mind is Yoshi's Cookie, and that was the Super Scope 6 game?? (or is that something else??)

I've heard Splatterhouse is pretty good..and I've enjoyed Fire Pro Wrestling Advance.. so I'm somewhat excited for that.

Yoshi's Cookie is a puzzle game AFAIK, super scope is for SNES.

Yeah, I remember Super Scope being for SNES... so what was the Yoshi game for SNES that used the super scope?

Ok yeah, I remember Yoshi's Cookie now. I think I enjoyed that--like Wario's Woods did that also come out for NES & SNES?

...So, what's "Yoshi" for NES????

I know what you're talking about (where you shoot around yoshi's head and stuff), but I can't think of the name either.

That it did.

No idea, the only thing I can think of is Yoshi's Cookie too (but I was a bit young for the NES generation...).

I have Yoshi for NES. My parents got it for me by mistake one Christmas when I asked for Yoshi's Cookie. Then, they bought me Yoshi's Cookie too.

Yoshi had Mario at the bottom rotating plates to catch same blocks to make them disappear. Yoshi eggs could be combined to get rid of blocks and such. Nothing too fancy; not a very good puzzle game.

Yoshi's Safari is okay, when you're using the Turbo speed. (My Super Scope and games still work just fine!)

I know - I just don't want to get my hopes up. Was hoping that a new source of the rumor had arose.
Yeah, I still have a Super Scope. I haven't used it ages though, the amount of batteries it needs is insane.
Wasn't it like 6 or 8 AA batteries?

OoT? Nifty. I've never played it. However, I'm not sure if I should buy the VC release or the OoT/Master Quest disc. The latter would have more content...

Regardless, you'll be able to play either one on your Wii :)

But it's a matter of price to consider, and if you want a physical copy to display or not.

Confirmed VC Titles for Monday 2/26/07
N64 - Zelda: Ocarina of Time
GEN - Bio-Hazard Battle
TG16 - Chewman Fu

GEN - Sword of Vermillion now confirmed for March 5th

I just (star 96) completely finished Super Mario World. I remember the day I beat it for the first time. It was New Year's morning and I ran screaming around the house. Woke the parents up.

Finished with 99 lives, 2-something million points, and I didn't run around my apartment screaming. :)

Battle Clash was the most under-rated game on the SNES. The graphics were amazing, plot was amazing, and the sheer amount of variety and depth in the bosses was great.

Anyone who liked picking apart the Colossi would most likely like this game.

Battle Clash was awesome
Looks like we are also getting...

Elevator Action (NES)
Excitebike (NES)

tomorrow.
Elevator Action.. ?! Never heard of it, but sounds kinda sexy!
By way of GoNintendo, Splatterhouse and Double Dungeons should be expected on the VC next month.
DOUBLE DRAGON?!?! Oh...Double Dungeon... :whistle2:(
I don't know what that is but it sounds like a fake game they made up on Homestar Runner.

So theres what now.. 5 confirmed games for tomorrow? I wonder if they'll pull a fast one and release even more games. I bet they started to see the bank that rolls in when they put out a hot title cause things sure are speeding up.

With rumors flying of XBLA getting the TMNT Arcade game via Konami and Ubisoft, please let that recently ESRBed TMNT game be Turtles II. Please.

Well, since u can hit 'Home' and save your game anywhere in the VC games, I'd almost hope the original is coming to the Wii. It's so damn hard that any little thing like that helps a ton.

But then they can release II, III, and IV for good measure. ;)

EDIT: Ugh. I just noticed "Arcade" in your post. Sorry daroga. I always forget that the original arcade game was TMNT and was unlike the first console TMNT game.

I played LTTP for about 8 hours this weekend. I hadn't played it since I played through it on the SNES probably circa 1995 when my friend let me borrow it. This game is so great, I don't know if it's "better than" OoT, but the game is damn near perfect, especially considering the time period when it came out.

Got DKC last week forgot how much fun it really was, one of my friends came over and saw me playing it and instantly was asking is Zelda's available and Pilot Wings. After playing Wii Sports and once all the zeldas and pilot wings are available he is buying a wii. Basically he will not track down a wii but as soon as he can walk in and see one on the shelf he will probally buy one.
So what's going up today? Ocarina of Time?
Gizmo posted a bunch of other rumored/confirmed titles, but there's been no press release other than the OoT announcement, so it's looking like that's it.

My in-laws downloaded DKC this weekend and they were having a blast with it. It was funny to see them remembering where the hidden areas were in the first few levels. My wife even took a couple of turns on it. The only problem was that they don't have a Classic Controller so we were playing with a GC controller which sucked.

I'm hoping that OoT also comes with the Warp Pipe channel though since I am holding off on OoT for now.

I really hope that OoT doesn't take up a lot of blocks. I wonder how much larger it is than Mario 64 or Mario Kart 64.

OoT is out right now. downloading as we speak. i can hear mario collecting coins in the background.

biohazard battle and chew man fu are the other games.

I concur, can somebody inform us about the VC Version of Zelda? Does it look better then the versions that were on Gamecube? (MQ and CE)? Also, can anybody tell what version is being released? The original or the later one with changed music and stuff?

...Yes. Since it takes advantage of 480p it will look better.

The CE Disc for Gamecube also took advantage of 480p, IIRC.

The main difference is that Nintendo is touching up the N64 games so they aren't as blurry / shitty looking, which I don't think they did on the CE version.
